Nikolas: Oh. I -- I don't understand why you're making such a big deal out of this. Lucky and I were supposed to connect at the hotel, it didn't happen, end of story. That's --
Emily: But apparently, you just took off. I would think that you would jump at the chance to try help your brother through such a difficult time.
Nikolas: Emily, I was in the lobby, my -- my cell phone rang, okay? You know how I like to pace when I talk on the phone. I wandered outside, walked across the park, and when I got back, he had already been there and gone. That's it.
Emily: You never said anything about the park. Is there something that you're not telling me?
Nikolas: No.
Emily: Nikolas, I know you, and something's going on.
Nikolas: Hmm.
Emily: I think I know what it is.
Emily: It would explain a lot -- huh -- your recent mood swings, your secretive behavior.
Nikolas: Emily, you -- you know I'm a private person, I've always been moody, both of which I come by honestly, so what -- what are you driving at here? I don't --
Emily: You're still after Jerry.
Nikolas: Yeah, I -- I've never denied that.
Emily: Oh, my God, Nikolas. I have asked you so many times, please let it go. The last thing that we need is another round with Jerry Jacks.
Nikolas: I'm just -- I'm just a little preoccupied right now, but I can assure you it has nothing to do with Jerry jacks and everything to do with you and how much I love you, okay?
Emily: Okay. Okay, if -- if I'm wrong, then I'm -- I'm sorry. I apologize for jumping to conclusions. Maybe Leticia’s murder just has me a little paranoid lately. I've known her for years and the thought of her --
Nikolas: Emily, don't even think about , okay? You're here with me, Spencer’s upstairs asleep. Everything's right in our own little world right now, so --
Emily: Yes.
Nikolas: Why don't we just be -- why don't we be a little selfish and enjoy it? Come on.
Emily: Okay, it's a little hard to just stop thinking about that. Okay? And I'm really worried about Lucky and Elizabeth.
Nikolas: We've done all we can do for them. I mean, either they will sort out their problems or -- or they won’t.
Emily: Well, Elizabeth says that they might have a chance if Sam just leaves them alone.
Nikolas: Sam -- what?
Emily: Well, according to Elizabeth, you know, Sam is out to seduce Lucky to get back at her for being with Jason, and Elizabeth’s afraid that Lucky's a pretty easy target for the same reason.
Nikolas: Well, maybe there's something we can do about that after all.
Knock on door.
Sam: Oh. Sorry. I was -- ahem -- expecting Maxie.
Nikolas: All right, you -- you have a second?
Sam: Yeah, sure. Come on in.
Nikolas: You should be more careful when you open the door. You know Jax and Carly's nanny was just murdered, right?
Sam: Yeah, I know. I heard. It's terrible.
Nikolas: It appears, as it often does, that anyone close to Sonny and Jason could still be in danger, which obviously includes yourself.
Sam: So you came by to check on me?
Nikolas: Yeah, well, we are family, right?
Sam: That's very considerate, but I'm fine.
Nikolas: Listen, there's plenty of room at Wyndemere. If you'd like to move in for a while, it's okay.
Sam: Thank you. That is a generous offer. But I'm actually just getting settled in here, and I think I'm enjoying my alone time a little too much to give it up. But if it puts your mind at ease, I do have people looking out for me, and they will come through if I need them.
Emily: Is Sam with you?
Nikolas: No. No, she refused to leave her new apartment.
Emily: Oh. Too bad.
Nikolas: Too -- what, you're looking forward to her moving in here?
Emily: No, but, you know, if we could have her here where we could keep an eye on her, it would make it harder for her to work her little agenda with Lucky.
Nikolas: That's true.
Alexis: Hi. I'm taking you up on your offer.
Nikolas: Good, I'm glad.
Alexis: Thank you. And I'm sorry to descend on you.
Emily: No, no, no, please -- we wouldn't have it any other way.
Nikolas: You know, it's -- it's fine. I've increased security here. We have staff. You can live your life, leave the girls, knowing that they're taken care of and looked after.
Alexis: I -- just tired of having to deal with this. I get one daughter back, now I've got to worry about the other one. And Viola is understandably worried that she's going to be next. Michael and Morgan are uprooted again. It just goes on and on.
Emily: Did Sonny send them to the island, or --
Alexis: And Carly, so I'm sure Jax is out of his mind. Do you think Sonny has any idea at all of the domino effect that his choices have on everybody around him?
