September 10, 2007 Screencaps

Emily: Okay, that's funny -- Nikolas didn't go back to Wyndemere, and he's not answering his cell.

Lucky: You're worried.

Emily: Yeah, he's been off lately, you guys. He's all secretive and mysterious. I mean, look how he missed his appointment with you. And he literally stops talking every time I walk into the room. It's not like him to just drop out of sight -- no call, no nothing. I can't imagine what's going on with him.

Lucky: How much you want to bet that Nikolas had a business emergency?

Elizabeth: Or maybe he just forgot Lucky was meeting him.

Phone rings.

Emily: All right, all right. I suppose you're right.

Lucky: Excuse me.

Lucky answers his phone.

Emily: I mean, as I said, he's been very distracted lately, but I know how much he wanted to meet the four of us for dinner, Elizabeth, and why is his cell phone off?

Elizabeth: Emily, stop. I'm sure he's fine.

Lucky: Okay. Yeah. I'll be there as soon as I can. That was work. Carly's nanny, Leticia, was found strangled tonight.

Emily: Leticia?

Lucky: Yeah.

Emily: What happened?

Lucky: I won't know until I get there. I'll be home as soon as I can.

Nikolas: I'm sorry I'm late. I --

Lucky: I have some work -- they'll fill you in.

Emily: Hey. I'm so relieved to see you. Come here.

Nikolas: What? Hi.

Emily: Hi.

Nikolas: Okay, so, obviously, something's -- wrong here. What happened?

Emily: So where were you?

Nikolas: I -- Lucky and I just missed each other, so I headed right over here. It was just a matter of bad timing, that's all.

Elizabeth: I'm going to start the barbecue to try to salvage dinner.

Nikolas: Sounds good.

Emily: Yeah, I'd like to stick around and see what Lucky finds out.

Elizabeth: Okay.

Emily: Poor Michael. He's going to be devastated when he finds out about Leticia -- I mean, Morgan, too -- but he was so attached to her.

Elizabeth: I know. Things like this make me want to just put those babies in a cocoon and never let them out. Nikolas, Cameron knows you're here, he's really excited to see you, can you go up?

Nikolas: Yeah, of course. Excuse me.

Elizabeth: Thanks.

Elizabeth sighs.

Elizabeth: Um -- I'm going to get dinner started.

Emily: Hey, are you okay?

Elizabeth: This news about Leticia -- I just -- I had to run upstairs and hug my boys.

Emily: No, I get it. You can't help but worry about them.

Elizabeth: Sit down. There is this mobster from New York City, Anthony Zacchara. Supposedly, he's going up against Jason and Sonny. Sam said he likes to target people closest to his enemies. What if this Zacchara killed Leticia just because she watches Sonny's kids?

Emily: On, no, you can't jump to conclusions like that.

Elizabeth: Okay, but it's public knowledge that Jason jumped bail to find Jake -- what if that makes him a target?

Emily: Look, if it'll help you sleep at night, Jason can put some men outside of your home.

Elizabeth: No, no. No, Lucky will protect us. God, I just feel so bad for Sonny and Carly. I mean, even with all the precautions they take, it must be terrifying knowing that their children are always vulnerable, simply because of who their father is.

Emily: Thanks for making dinner.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Elizabeth: Thanks for staying. Maybe next week, we can actually do this with all four of us.

Nikolas: Again, please tell Lucky I'm sorry about the mix-up and to call me tomorrow, because I still want him to come by and see the new office.

Elizabeth: I'll tell him.

Emily: Listen, I still don't feel right leaving you here alone. What happened with Leticia has made me really nervous.

Elizabeth: We're going to be fine.

Emily: We'll stay if you want us to.

Elizabeth: No. No, you guys go back to Spencer. Lucky will be home soon.

Nikolas: All right.

Elizabeth: Okay?

Nikolas: We'll see you.

Elizabeth: It'll be fine. Thanks for coming.

Emily: Bye.

Elizabeth: Bye, honey.

Emily: Bye.

Elizabeth: See you later.

Emily: Bye.

Emily: I'm sorry Lucky missed dinner, but it's probably for the best. You know, things are just so tense between Lucky and Elizabeth right now.

Nikolas: Yeah. Maybe that's why he was so quick to jump at the chance to go to work.

Emily: Do you think he was lying to you about missing you at the hotel?

Nikolas: I don't know. Who knows -- I don't know.

Emily: Wait, you're doing it again. You just gave me that look.

Nikolas: What are you talking -- what look?

Emily: It's the same look that you gave me when I said that Marty had told me about the office, so what's going on? Hmm?

Nikolas: What are you --

Emily: You weren't at that hotel at all, were you? Where'd you really go tonight?
