Jason: Emily, are you -- are you okay?
Emily: It was an accident, Jase! You saw how he was! Wait, what are you doing? He's having a blackout, Jase, it's going to pass! Please.
Jason: Watch out, watch out.
Emily: Wait -- wait, what are you doing? Jason, what are you doing?
Jason: It's okay.
Emily: Nikolas -- hey, Jase, you're going to hurt him.
Jason grunts. Nikolas mumbles.
Jason: Okay. I'm going to tie him up --
Emily: Oh, my God.
Jason: And I'm going to get you out of here.
Emily: I'm not going to leave him.
Emily: Look, this is the man I love, Jase. I'm not going to leave him tied up so Anthony Zacchara can get to him!
Jason: Listen, you're not safe with Nikolas.
Emily: No, he would never hurt me.
Jason: He already has hurt you. Look, I'm not saying he did it on purpose, but he's dangerous to be around.
Nikolas: Agh. Emily?
Thunder.
Nikolas: Did I do that to you?
Emily: You don't remember.
Nikolas: It -- don't -- it doesn't matter that I don't remember -- did I hurt you? Please tell me -- please tell me I didn't hurt you!
Emily: It matters to me. Nikolas, did you do it on purpose?
Nikolas: No -- no, no! I would never -- I would never do -- do that on purpose. Please -- please, you have to know that I would never do that to you.
Emily: All right, sweetie, okay. I'm staying.
Nikolas: Jason -- Jason -- Jason, you have to leave me here. Please -- please take her somewhere safe.
Emily: That's not your decision to make --
Nikolas: Would you just do it? Just do it! Please take her somewhere where I can't hurt her again! Just get her away from me!
Emily: I'm not leaving you, okay?
Nikolas: Emily --

Nikolas: Emily -- Emily, I promise you I will -- I will survive this night, and I will get help for whatever is wrong with me and that I will marry you, but you have to respect me enough to do this for me. Would you please do this for me? Just do it for me!

Nikolas pants.

Jason: Is everything all right in here?
Elizabeth: Yeah, there's been no sign of Zacchara, and Spinelli's in the back with Nadine. Where is Nikolas?
Jason: He's in the house. Emily will fill you in with everything.
Emily: Jase, will you please go back and check on him and just make sure that he doesn't get hurt?
Jason: The best way to do that is for me to find Anthony Zacchara.
Emily: Okay.
Jason: It's going to be okay.
Emily: When you say that, I know it's going to be true.
Elizabeth: What happened to Nikolas?
Emily: His blackouts are getting worse. Jason wanted me to come back here for safety. Nikolas walked in, saw us arguing, thought that Jason was hurting me. Nikolas went berserk. Jason had to fight back just to stay alive.
Elizabeth: Where's Nikolas now?
Emily: He's -- uh -- he's in the ballroom. Jason tied him to a chair and then brought me back here for safety. Elizabeth, I can stand the thought of him being alone -- anything can happen.
Nikolas: Jason?
Thunder.
Nikolas: Did you get Emily to a safe place? Alfred?
Nikolas gags.
Anthony: This is just too easy.
Nikolas: Oh!
Nikolas gasps.
Anthony: Not much of a host, are you? Sitting here, tied to this chair with so many guests in the house.
Nikolas: Oh!
Anthony: Next time you throw a party, don't bother to invite me.
Nikolas: Yeah -- who will provide the entertainment?
Anthony: Girlfriend tie you up? I'm basically a prude, but I understand some people like this kind of thing.
Nikolas: Why don't you just let me go, huh?
Anthony chuckles.
Anthony: Somebody worked very hard to put you there. It would be rude to remove you. You seen your girlfriend lately? No, of course not. You don't have any idea where she is.
Nikolas: What -- what did you do to her?
Anthony: She's stashed away where nobody can find her. I'm saving her for later. We'll see if she likes being tied up, too.
Lucky: Freeze!
Nikolas: I'll kill -- no, no, no, don't -- don't shoot him! He has Emily!
Lucky: You tell me where!
Anthony: Oh, there's a good idea -- I'll tell you where I've got the girl, and that'll give you no reason not to blow my head off.
Sam: Nikolas, he could be lying.
Anthony:
Falsetto voice. Yes, he could.
Normal voice. Then again, he could be too crazy to make things up.

Sam: Come on, he's messing with your head. Anthony: No. This would be messing with his head.

Sam: Why did he tie you up?
Nikolas: Just like you said -- he's crazy.
Lucky: You okay?
Nikolas: I won't be okay until Emily's safe.
Sam: Come on.
Emily: It feels so wrong to be hiding here when I should be with Nikolas.
Emily sighs.
Elizabeth: Do you want a distraction?
Emily: My fiancé is in the main house, tied to a chair, Elizabeth. How are you going to distract me from that? Oh.
Elizabeth: Jason told Lucky that he's Jake’s father.
Emily: That's unexpected.
Elizabeth: You're not surprised?
Emily: Elizabeth, I knew Jake was Jason's son. And it's obvious you didn't want anyone else to know.
Elizabeth: Emily, I'm so sorry I didn't tell you. I just hated the idea of putting anyone in the middle or having to pick sides, you know?
Emily: No, listen, you can only do the best you can do. So what about Lucky? I mean, what did he say when -- when Jason told him?
Elizabeth: He was devastated.
Emily: Yeah?
Elizabeth: All he can see is that I betrayed him -- yet again for Jason. I don't think he'll be forgiving me anytime soon.
Emily: I'm so sorry.
Elizabeth: I lied to Lucky, and my reasons don't really matter to him and maybe they never will, and I can accept that. But the one I really blame is Sam. She's known about Jake since the night he was born, and she kept dangling the truth as a threat, and I'm sure she's in his ear right now just manipulating him.
Emily: Look, it's not good that Lucky's turning to Sam, but it's his choice.
Elizabeth: I know things about Sam that would make Lucky drop her in a heartbeat. Do you know that she actually stood by and watched Jake get kidnapped and did nothing to stop it?
Emily: What?
Elizabeth: And those two men that -- that threatened me and the boys in the park -- Sam hired them.
Emily: Why would she do that?
Elizabeth: So I'd be too scared to let Jason go near his son.
Emily: Wow. What has happened to Sam? She wasn't like this before.
Elizabeth: Well, she lost the man she loved -- and he had a child with me.
Sam: Hey, I know you're upset, and I don't blame you, but you got to stay focused, okay?
Lucky: Listen, I've got it handled, okay?
Sam: No -- apparently not. I saw you fire at Zacchara, you left yourself wide open -- you're a cop, you should know better than that.

Sam: Wait, I am not criticizing you, I'm just telling you that I am scared for you. You didn't even try to protect yourself. Zacchara could've killed you.

Sam: He's gone.
Thunder.
Elizabeth: Lucky's in enough pain over Jake, I don't want to cause him any more. He'll figure out who Sam is soon enough. Do you hate me for this?
Emily: Elizabeth, are you kidding? I love you. You're the best friend I've ever had, and I'm so sorry for what this has cost you.
Elizabeth: I just feel like I've messed up every step of the way.
Emily: Look, I know who you are in your heart, and so does everybody else. I know that you did what you thought was best for your children and for Lucky. Please don't be so hard on yourself, okay? My God, who hasn't made mistakes? So what now, hmm, for you and Jason?
Elizabeth: Oh, I don't know. I guess we just have to make it through the night and see how we feel in the light of day.
Emily: Yeah. Getting through the night would be a relief.
Elizabeth: Yeah. Yeah.
Emily: I should've never let Jason and Nikolas talk me into leaving when every nerve in my body was screaming for me to stay. Elizabeth, I'm going to go back, and I'm going to be with the man I love.
Elizabeth: What -- no, Em, it's not safe. Okay, then I'll come with you.
Emily: No, no, no. Listen, thank you, but it's my risk to take, okay, and I know that Nikolas would do the same for me. Look, the sun's going to be up in a few hours, okay? Everything's going to be back to normal. Nikolas is going to be treated and diagnosed, and you and I are going to sit down over tequila at Jake’s and make wedding plans. Okay? You'll be my maid of honor, right?
Elizabeth: I was really needing something to look forward to right now. Of course I'll be your maid of honor.
Emily: Okay.
Elizabeth: I love you.

Elizabeth: Okay.
Emily: I have to go be with Nikolas, okay?
Elizabeth: All right.

Nikolas gasps.
Emily: Oh, my God, Nikolas.

Emily pants.
Nikolas: I was just trying to protect you -- why'd you have to ruin that for me?
