Elizabeth: If Mommy's checkup goes well, we'll be le to go home today. Cam is so excited to meet you, he already loves you so much. We all do -- me and Daddy -- Jason. Your father wanted you to have the best life possible, and now you can. You have a chance at being safe and happy -- all because of Jason.
Emily: What are you telling Jake about Jason?
Jason: Okay, assuming Skye does come through and we actually get rid of Alcazar, we still have to deal with Jax's brother -- he paid me a visit last night.
Sonny: And he's still alive?
Jason: Well, Craig has an insurance policy to make sure it stays that way.
Sonny: What are you talking about?
Jason: Emily. He got Emily to open up a bank account in her own name that he's using to funnel money that can be traced right back to her. And he claims if anything happens to him, he's going to go to the government, turn in evidence that will implicate Emily.
Sonny: Why is Emily mixed up in this whole thing?
Jason: I have no idea.
Sonny: Okay, I don't have to tell you, but, you know -- you need to keep her safe, obviously, but right now you have to focus on Alcazar.
Scene continues with Lawyer Diane.
Elizabeth: I was just telling Jake that Jason was the one who saved our lives. Thanks to him, my son and I can go home today -- if Kelly says it's okay.
Emily: Oh, that's great. Listen, I know things between you and Jason are complicated. I'm just grateful that you remained friends. If you hadn't, Jake might not be here with us now, huh?
Elizabeth: I will always be grateful for what Jason did for me and my son.
Emily: I hope that you'll let Jason spend some time with Jake, even after you're home from the hospital. Jason loves kids, and I know he has a special place in his heart for this little guy.
Epiphany: Well, Dr. Lee has signed off on your release. And as soon as the paperwork is finished, you are free to go.
Elizabeth: Thank God. I cannot wait to get out of here. Cameron is so excited about being a big brother. All he keeps talking about is Jake this and Jake that, and, you know, Lucky's no better. Speaking of, I better call him, let him know that we're coming home. He wants to bring Cameron here so we can all go home together as a family.
Epiphany: I'm going to go finish this paperwork.
Elizabeth: Have I done something?
Epiphany sighs.
Epiphany: Look, the last place that I want to be is in the middle of your personal drama.
Elizabeth: Oh -- no, just -- just tell me. What?
Epiphany: I think that you have been blessed with a healthy baby boy, and how you want to raise him -- and with who -- is none of my business.
Jason: We need to talk about James Craig right now.
Emily: Okay. You mean Jerry Jacks -- I know they're the same person.
Jason: How do you know that?
Emily sighs.
Emily: Craig -- Jerry stopped by Wyndemere to let me know that the two of you have come to some sort of an understanding. As long as you won't kill him, then I'll stay out of prison.
Jason: So he really does have espionage evidence?
Emily: Yeah, I went to the bank with him, I set up an account. I didn't ask a lot of questions, I jus signed the papers approving the wire transfer.
Jason: Why would you go along with something like that?
Emily: I did what I had to do to protect someone I love, jason. I would think that you would understand that.
Emily: Jerry injected Nikolas with a toxin. For weeks, the only thing keeping him alive was a dose of the counteragent every 24 hours. I watched Nikolas flatline one night, Jason, while he was waiting for the counteragent. So when Craig asked me to accompany him on a business trip, I knew that if I didn't, Nikolas was going to die.
Jason: Okay, but why -- why didn't you come to me?
Emily: I was afraid that you were going to care more about revenge for what Jerry did to Dad than about keeping Nikolas alive.
Jason: Is Nikolas okay?
Emily: Robin and Patrick were able to duplicate the counteragent.
Jason: So now it's only your life at risk?
Emily: Nikolas warned me not to go along with Jerry, and I just didn't listen because I thought that cooperating was the only way to protect him.
Jason: I -- I'm going to get you out of this.
Emily: I don't think that Jerry has any intention of turning me in for espionage, as long as you leave him alone.
Jason: I'm not going to leave you as his hostage, Emily.
Emily: I want him to pay as much as you do, Jason, but killing him is not going to solve anything. Dad wouldn't want you to kill someone to avenge his death. You know that as well as I do.
Robin sighs.
Emily: Are you all right?
Robin: Oh -- yes, I'm great. I have a beautiful boyfriend that loves me very much, that wants me to move in with him, and when I told him no, he said that I was a -- a coward, and he made this very big declaration that he's ready to commit.
Emily: So?
Robin: So -- does he look ready to you?
Patrick: Okay, well, the good news is your x-ray doesn't show any fracture, but you're going to need a couple of days for your ankle to heal. Keep the weight off it, and definitely no more grinds.
