Patrick: If you're leaving the Scorpios', the obvious solution is to move back in with me.
Robin: I told you I'm not ready to do that.
Patrick: Okay, so the apartment that you picked out, the apartment you basically decorated, where the man you supposedly love lives, is not where you want to reside? That's -- that's fine, I can try and deal with that. But you have other friends, you have options.
Robin: I know --
Patrick: Why move in with Nikolas?
Robin: Look, because I just need you to trust me on this one, okay? Can you do that for me?
Patrick: Why? What's going on between you and Nikolas?
James chuckles.
James: Whoa. Faking an early collapse from the poison was very clever but ultimately ill-advised.
Nikolas: That was too easy.
James: Well, it presents you with an interesting dilemma. You can run to Dr. Scorpio and hope that she will analyze and duplicate the counteragent -- which she'll be unable to do in the time that you have left -- or you can inject yourself and live for the next 24 hours while I take my leave. And when you need another injection, you will die a slow and painful death. But at least you will have told your loved ones goodbye, or maybe made a farewell video for your little boy -- hmm. Or you can choose option three, which is you give me the syringe back, and you can extend your life indefinitely. Which one shall it be?
Panting.
James: Oh, dear -- your breathing seems so very labored. You see, stress amplifies the effects of the poison. You'll be needing the counteragent very, very soon, my friend.
Nikolas: I was prepared to help you when I was the only one at risk, but not Robin.
James chuckles.
James: It's rather amazing, you know, the way you seem to believe that you're in a position to negotiate.
Nikolas: It appears that I'm the one holding the counteragent.
James: And you are so chivalrous that you're willing to die on the assumption that I will leave Robin alone. You have lovely, lovely manners, Nightmare Nikolas, but you're severely lacking common sense. If you die, Robin will be killed, as well. And it won't be a fast death, either. Robin struggled to live after I shot her at the Metro Court -- it was most, most entertaining, and I would really love to see a repeat performance. So make up your mind -- the clock is ticking.
Robin: Nikolas and I are good friends, and he happens to have a huge house with a lot of servants.
Patrick: Servants? Wh did servants become high on your priority list?
Robin: Well, I don't have to pay rent.
Patrick: Robin, you're a doctor, you can afford it.
Robin: I just -- I don't want the hassle. I don't want to have to look for the apartment and decorate the apartment and --
Patrick: You love decorating. The minute you walked into my place you couldn't wait to get a couch in there -- that was two days after I moved in.
Robin: No, no, no, I just wanted you to have a couch so that you felt at home. It wasn't about me loving to shop for sofas.
Patrick: Why Wyndemere? I mean, don't you want to spend any time with me at all?
Robin: Of course I do, and I will.
Patrick: Look, we have busy schedules here. Now, why don't you try and find a place that's closer by?
Robin: Look, I'm going to make it work. I promise.
Patrick: How long do you plan on doing this, living with Nikolas?
Robin: I don't know -- I haven't thought that far ahead.
Patrick: Okay, well, why don't you just move into your other place with Lainey and Kelly, stay on the sofa bed until you find another place?
Robin: You know, stop telling me what to do.
Patrick: Well, then you give me a reason, one that actually makes sense. What are you hiding from me?
Robin: Nikolas is one of my closest friends. I mean, he carried me out of the lobby after the hostage situation and saved me from an explosion.
Patrick: So this is gratitude?
Robin: No, I'm just saying that we share a lot of history.
Patrick: Oh, like when you turned to him when you were going through that rough patch this summer?
Robin: Nikolas is in love with Emily.
Patrick: Is she living at Wyndemere, too?
Robin: I don't know -- what difference does it make?
Patrick: It makes a big difference. The both of you are supposed to be in committed relationships with other people, but for some reason you're moving in together.
Robin: Look, I gave you all of my reasons why I think it's a good idea to move in there. You just can't accept it, and now you're digging around trying to make it something that it's not.
Patrick: Robin, we love each other. Now, I might not be perfect, and maybe you honestly don't want to move in with me, but there's something here that you're not telling me.
Robin: No, I'm moving in with a friend. And if you're too insecure deal with it, well, then that's not my problem.
Alfred: I will tell Mr. Cassadine you're here.
Robin: No, no, that's okay. Uh -- Nikolas is expecting me.
Alfred: As you wish.
Robin: Thank you. Nikolas?
James: He's indisposed at the moment.
Robin: Nikolas -- Nikolas, are you okay? Oh, God, he's barely breathing!
James: Ooh, very perceptive.
Robin: Nikolas is suffocating.
James: Unfortunately, he tried to defy me, so he's paying the price.
Robin: He needs the counteragent.
James: I need you to understand that Nikolas' life is on the line. So if you tell anyone of our little arrangement or deviate from my instructions in any way, Nikolas will suffer this agony all over again.
Robin: Fine. I get it. Will you please just give him the counteragent now?
Patrick: Mac? I need your help. There's something seriously wrong with Robin.
Robin: Here.
Nikolas: You shouldn't have come back here.
Robin: Shh. Just try and relax, okay?
Nikolas: I can't -- I can't protect you from him, Robin.
James: No, you can't, but brave little Robin isn't worried about that.
Robin: No, I can take care of myself.
James: You see, that attitude may cause you to do all sorts of foolhardy things such as duplicate the counteragent even though I've told you it's a complete waste of time.
Robin: Oh, yeah, and I'm just supposed to take your word on that?
James: Well, I was always very straightforward about the methods from the moment when we first met. I was after the briefcase, I told you I was going to blow up the lobby, and I did. Now, I want you to keep Nikolas alive.
Robin: I intend to do that.
James: As long as you do, Paddy Boy will remain safe. If you start some trouble and Nikolas dies, Patrick Drake will spend the rest of his life paralyzed from the neck down.
Robin: Look, I'll do whatever you want. Just leave Patrick alone.
Patrick: Robin and I are both strong-willed, and we fight -- although it's not necessarily fighting. It's more working out boundaries, trying to find common ground when we're both used to doing our own thing. Living together for us is -- is uncertain territory.
Mac: So far, I'm not hearing any reason to be alarmed.
Patrick: You're not the least bit concerned that Robin decided to move in with Nikolas?
Mac: They've been friends for years.
Patrick: Yeah, I know they've been friends, but Nikolas lives on an island. Robin is a dedicated doctor and now she's given herself a commute over water in uncertain weather just to avoid the issue of living with me.
Mac: I know it's a little extreme, but Robin's been known to be stubborn.
Patrick: Mac, this isn't a garden-variety disagreement. There's something wrong with Robin she's not telling me and I'm afraid that it's serious.
Nikolas: Robin will be staying with us for a while, so if you would please set up the blue room down the hall for me.
Alfred: I'll have it set up at once, Sir. Is your room satisfactory, Mr. Bresnan?
James: Yes, I'm -- I'm enjoying my stay very much, Alfred. Mr. Cassadine has been a wonderful host, thank you.
Alfred: Hmm.
Nikolas: That'll be all.
James: Ah. It's almost like old times at the Metro Court, isn't it? I'm in charge, you two are hostages -- of course, the amenities are vastly, vastly superior.
James chuckles.
James: But the same rules apply. You cooperate or you die.
