Nikolas: Yes, that's exactly what I need. Thank you. Please encrypt and email the records. Yes, thank you. I appreciate your discretion.
James: Well, it seems our contacts in Mother Russia were more helpful than I'd hoped.
Nikolas: He found background on twin boys from a village outside of Moscow. They'd be about your age by now if they were alive. You have a choice -- assume either identity.
James: See? It wasn't that difficult. Soon it'll be easy, as well, after a tedious initial resistance. You'll be introducing me to all your business associates, your friends, your family --
Nikolas: You leave my family alone.
Lucky: Nikolas?
Nikolas: Come in.
Lucky: Hey, this is my wedding day, and I need my brother beside me.
Elizabeth's Voice: Jason, Lucky's not the father of this baby. You are.
Jason: I told you I would marry you. I meant it. [Knock on door]
Elizabeth: Come in.
Emily: Hi. Elizabeth. Look, if you don't want to do this, now is the time to back out.
Lucky: When I leave a message for my brother to confirm he's still my best man, I expect a call back.
Nikolas: I haven't even checked my messages, okay? I'm in the middle of a business deal right now and -- and I'm sorry. Unfortunately, it has the potential of going really bad really quickly and it requires my immediate attention.
Lucky: "A business deal"?
Nikolas: Yes.
Lucky: Listen, I spoke to Emily last night, she said she hadn't even heard from you. What, you can't seriously consider bailing on my wedding?
Nikolas: Look, I'm sorry, half the company's future is riding on this one deal.
Lucky: 20 minutes for me and Elizabeth -- that's not too much to ask.
Nikolas: 20 minutes might not seem like a lot to you, but it's all it takes to blow a hole right through Cassadine Industries and I can't let that happen. It -- it's my son's legacy, Lucky.
Lucky: You know what? This isn't like you, all right? Neither was that outburst at Emily last night. Is something else going on?
Nikolas: Stop -- stop being a cop. Look, I'm sorry, I can't -- I'm sorry.
Lucky: Okay, all right, you know what? Fine, we'll save a seat for you just in case.
James: This won't do at all, Mr. Cassadine. Did you hear your brother? "That man, Nikolas, is not himself." And if that dumb flatfoot can see it, everyone else can see it, which is probably what you're hoping. Let me assure you, you'll be long dead before your friends and family can connect the dots from me to you. Is that understood?
Emily: Don't feel like you have to protect anyone, Elizabeth, by going through with this wedding, okay? Not Lucky, not even the baby.
Elizabeth: It's not that I don't want to marry lucky, it's -- Em, I can't explain it.
Emily: Look, it's understandable if you got swept away after the hostage crisis if the aftermath of -- of such an emotional event caused you to reunite with Lucky before you were completely ready, and if now there's -- there's too much momentum to stop. But if it doesn't feel right, it would be better for everyone if you just said so.
Elizabeth: After all the fighting and the struggle and -- and the divorce, to get Lucky's hopes up and then bail on him on his wedding day would be beyond cruel. And wrong for me, because I love him, and -- and after what Lucky's been through, he's going to be an even better husband than he was before. I mean, children couldn't ask for a more amazing father. I'm just nervous. It's typical prewedding jitters, that's all.
Emily: Are you sure?
Elizabeth: I am so sure -- and incredibly grateful that Lucky and I have been given a second chance. I have no regrets about today. Not one.
Elizabeth: No matter how flattering the dress, everyone's eyes are going to be drawn to this swollen bundle of joy. It's going to look like a classic shotgun wedding.
Emily: What, and suddenly you care what people think?
Elizabeth: Believe me, I have my moments.
Emily: Yeah, well, I can speak for everyone in that room downstairs when I say that there will be no judgment. Only love and joy for the bride and groom who finally opened their eyes and realized that they belong together.
Elizabeth: It's been a long, hard road, and not just for me and Lucky. What got into Nikolas last night? Maybe he's having his delayed stress reaction. Whatever it is, I know he loves you like crazy.
Emily: Yeah, well, that seems to be up for debate at the moment.
Elizabeth: Please don't take what he said to heart.
Emily: How can I not, Elizabeth? He aimed at my heart, and -- and now I haven't even spoken to him since.
Elizabeth: He's probably mortified -- or sick. If it makes you feel any better, Lucky and I haven't heard from him, either.
Emily: Yeah, well, whatever sparked Nikolas' honesty and however painful it was to hear at the moment, I'm glad that he spoke up. The last thing that I want i for him to feel pressured into something he's not ready for. I just don't know where it came from.
James: Yeah, you seem to be an intelligent man. That fault is probably mine, so I will make myself clear. You will go on with your life as usual. You will be Emily's boyfriend, Lucky's supportive brother, and Spencer's father. You will not deliberately drive your loved ones away. Because they are a busybody little crew and they will find out if something is amiss. Probably Emily will go whining to Mr. Corinthos and Mr. Morgan, who placed that lovely little bullet in my shoulder to begin with. I prefer to avoid a duel to the death, Mr. Cassadine.
Nikolas: Ah. Perish that thought.
James: My health and well-being are something you shouldn't be cavalier with. On the contrary, it should be your primary concern, because if I die, you don't get the counteragent, and guess what -- you die, too.
Nikolas: I don't need to hear your threats again.
James: Apparently you do.
Nikolas: I've cooperated with you, I've provided you with the necessary means to obtain a new identity. What the hell else do you want from me?
James: Now I'm telling you to protect our venture, to make nice with those people! You will go to your brother's wedding!
Nikolas: No, this is not a dictatorship.
James: What did you say?
Nikolas: I said, "this is not a dictatorship." We had a deal, and the condition of that deal was that my people stay away from you, which means that I push them away. So, I'm not going.
James: You may find this hard to believe, but I'm sympathetic to your plight. It's obvious that you love Emily to distraction, and it's eating you up from the inside to reject her. And you can't stand being in the same room with her on such a joyful occasion, knowing that the pain that you've caused is because of the hurtful things you said to her. There's a simple solution for that -- erase the misdeed with honesty. Bring Emily in on our arrangement.
Nikolas: Never.
James: Oh, well. Suit yourself. I guess you'll just have to deal with Emily's shattered heart. But I'm not going to let you push her away. The Emilys and the Elizabeths and the Lulus and the Luckys are the key to the normalcy of our project. So you are going to go to the wedding. But beware of the clock if you do. I need you to be home by 8:00 for you to receive the counteragent. Otherwise, you'll be turned into something else than a pumpkin -- you'll be turned into a corpse.
Emily: All right, I got it. [Emily sighs]
Elizabeth: No?
Emily: Yeah.
Elizabeth: Don't tell me.
Emily: It's an old friend of my father's -- his name's Glen Phillips -- he's taken a turn for the worse.
Elizabeth: Oh. Well, then you have to go.
Emily: Yeah, I'm -- I'm not his physician of record, obviously, but I'm the one who's been monitoring his case, you know, first with my dad, and I've stayed involved.
Elizabeth: You know what? Your dad would want you to put your patients first.
Emily: Yeah, I'm so sorry, Elizabeth. I'm going to make it back here for the reception, at least, okay?
Elizabeth: Em, it's okay. You did exactly what I needed today -- you helped me get ready. We had the traditional bride/maid-of-honor heart-to-heart.
Emily: Yeah. Oh, my God.
Elizabeth: I know you love me.
Emily: You and Lucky are the best friends I've ever had. Elizabeth, I so waed to be here to see you take your vows.
Elizabeth: You'll be here in spirit.
Emily: Okay. Well, there's one more tangible thing that I can do to make sure that this wedding goes off without a hitch.
Lucky: You can drop the act. I know you found out.
Lulu: "Found out"?
Lucky: You spoke to Nikolas, he said he wasn't coming. Dad -- he's running late and -- but my little sister is here and that's good enough for me.
Lulu: I -- I love you so much, Lucky. I just -- I want you to be happy, I hope that you know that.
Lucky: Yes, I am. [Doorbell rings]
Lucky: Elizabeth -- she does that for me.
Spinelli: Greetings. Uh -- hey, you must be the blond one's granny. May I be so bold as to say your D.M.V. Records do not do you justice?
Lesley: Who are you?
Lulu: Um -- uh, this is my friend Spinelli. Spinelli, what are you doing here?
Spinelli: Uh -- I -- I am your date, remember? You asked me to come? Uh -- look, um, I'm here reporting for duty. My mission is to make sure that -- to stop you, by any means necessary, if you feel compelled to reveal the secret about Elizabeth's baby. Um, let me just start by reminding you what's at stake for your brother if he finds out.
Lulu: Uh -- you're -- you're not dressed. Has -- has Elizabeth changed her mind?
Emily: No, of course not. I was called into work. I need you.
Jason: Excuse me for a second.
Bobbie: That's true. [Bobbie laughs]
Bobbie: Ultimate romantic. [Jason knocks on post]
Spinelli: Hold on --
Jason: No, no, get up. Hey --
Spinelli: I just -- I just want --
Jason: How -- how's Lulu doing?
Spinelli: Um, first, can -- do -- do you like my suit?
Jason: No.
Spinelli: Okay -- uh -- look, I'm just -- I'm planning to stick close to Lulu through the entire ceremony. If I sense that she's starting to break, I'll intervene.
Jason: Okay. Thank you.
Spinelli: Yeah.
Jason: Where -- where is she right now?
Spinelli: Upstairs with emily doing some wedding business. Excuse me, I have some giant prawns to attend to. [Spinelli pats jason]
Lucky: Jason -- I'm glad you came. I consider you an honored guest. I mean, if it hadn't been for you, Elizabeth and our baby would've have gotten out of the hostage crisis.
Lesley: I'm just so glad you're here. Lucky said that you were stuck in some business meeting and you weren't going to be able to make it.
Nikolas: Yeah.
Lesley: You're a good brother.
Lucky: Oh, you came.
Nikolas: Yeah, I couldn't leave my brother without a best man.
Lucky: Well, I hope I didn't guilt you into anything. [Lucky laughs]
Nikolas: I needed to be here.
Lucky: Thank you.
Nikolas: Is -- uh -- is Emily upstairs with Elizabeth?
Lucky: Unfortunately, the hospital called, Emily had to leave, so the pressure's off.
James: [Speaking French] Tres bien. Okay. Au revoir. Ciao.
Alexis: And you are --
James: Oh, I'm the head of a European investment fund. We're in the final stages of a deal with Cassadine Industries.
Alexis: May I ask why you're here alone?
James: Well, my host had to attend a family meeting -- a wedding, I believe -- and Nikolas won't be long, he told me.
Alexis: Do you have a name?
James: Yes -- Brosnan, James Brosnan.
Alexis: Davis, Alexis Davis.
James: Pleasure.
Alexis: I'm Nikolas' aunt, I'm also the attorney here. I handle cassadine Industry business and I've been doing it for years. So, refresh my memory. What fund do you represent?
James: You wouldn't be familiar with the group I run -- we've only just started up.
Alexis: Humor me.
James: It's called Cadmus International.
Alexis: Which of the big three in Zurich Anchors your E.U. Funds? I'm sorry, I don't meant to be intrusive -- actually, I do. Excuse me -- ugh.
James: Oh, are you all right? Ooh -- whew.
Alexis: Are you?
James: Yes, yes, yes, it's just a bruised shoulder. I should really stop rock-climbing.
Alexis: Well, then be sure to take care of your shoulder, and I'll get my book and --
James: Thank you.
Alexis: Let you be.
James: You know what? On -- on second thought, perhaps you shouldn't leave.
Minister: I'm going to let your guests get a better look at you. Excuse me. Dearly beloved, we are gathered here in the presence of god and this company to unite this man and woman in the bonds of holy matrimony. If there's anyone in here who can show just cause why this marriage should not take place, speak now, or forever hold your peace.
