Emily: Nik-- Nikolas? Hey. Hey. What happened?

Nikolas: The drawer was stuck. I was trying to get it open.

Emily: Why?

Nikolas: Colleen was in a hurry. She may have left something behind.

Emily: Look, Colleen's way too smart to leave anything behind.

Nikolas: She left that.

Emily: Yeah, to mess with you. Colleen knew that if you saw that picture, you'd tear this place apart looking for another clue.

Nikolas: I'm not leaving until I find one.

Emily sighs.

Emily: Nikolas, can't you see that we're playing right into her hands? Every minute that we waste inside of this apartment, Colleen's getting further away!

Nikolas: I'm not just going to give up.

Emily: I'm not asking you to. I just think it's time that we start looking for Spencer a different way.

Emily: Any plans Colleen may have had went out the window the minute we walked into that daycare. She didn't have time to think. All she could do was run.

Nikolas: But where? We have no idea where she's headed, Emily.

Emily: All right. That's why we have to widen our search. If we can get the media involved, then the public can help us, all right, especially if we provide an incentive.

Nikolas: You want me to offer a reward?

Emily: Nothing gets people's attention like money.

Nikolas: Well, that's what I'm afraid of. If I go on TV and offer to pay for information, it could generate thousands of false leads. How could that help the investigation?

Emily: Look, listen to me. There is no such thing as bad publicity when it comes to a kidnapping. The more we can get Spencer's face out there, the greater chance we have of finding him.

Nikolas: Not if it drives Colleen further into hiding.

Emily: How can it? She's going to have nowhere else to go.

Emily: If there is enough publicity surrounding Spencer's case, Colleen won't be able to walk down the street without getting recognized.

Nikolas: People will be looking for a woman with a baby. If Colleen wants to blend in, all she has to do is get rid of Spencer.

Emily: Nikolas, we have been over this. I really don't think that Colleen would ever do anything to hurt Spencer.

Nikolas: If we back her into a corner, there's no telling what she's capable of, and that's a chance I just can't take with my son's life.

Emily: What about your life?

Nikolas: What do you mean?

Emily: Colleen took Spencer because she was desperate to have a family. She wanted one with you, but you rejected her. Three of the other men that she worked for died under questionable circumstances. What makes you think that she's not going to try to kill you, too?

Emily: When those other men didn't return Colleen's feelings, they wound up missing or dead. I just don't want the same thing to happen to you.

Nikolas: All of those deaths were ruled as accidents.

Emily: Yeah, carefully planned, well-thought-out accidents -- with Colleen close by. Like she just happened to be there when I slipped down the steps at Wyndemere, or when the cinch on your saddle was cut and you were thrown from your horse. Are you trying to tell me that it was a coincidence that Colleen was there to nurse you back to health? She wanted you, Nikolas.

Nikolas: Yeah. And when she realized she couldn't have me, she took who she could get -- my son.

Emily: Colleen is not rational when it comes to Spencer. There is no doubt in my mind that she will do whatever it takes to keep him.

Nikolas: I lost my son once before. I won't let it happen again. There has to be a way for me to get him back. There has to be a way.

Knock on door.

Man: Sarah, you home?

Knock.

Nikolas: Who are you?

Man: If Sarah's not here, I can come back later. I just came by to drop this off for her soN.

Nikolas: Get in here. My son.

Man: Look, Sarah never told me she was married. If she had, I never would've asked her --

Nikolas: Is this Sarah?

Man: What?

Nikolas: Is this Sarah -- yes or no?

Man: Yes. Why? Is -- is Sarah in some kind of trouble?

Emily: Her name isn't Sarah, it's Colleen McHenry.

Nikolas: She worked as my son's nanny. She kidnapped him on Christmas Eve.

Man: You must have the wrong woman.

Emily: You can call the police. They'll be very interested in speaking with you.

Man: Sarah seemed so nice. She was so good with her little bo-- your little boy.

Nikolas: Do you have any idea where they may have gone?

Man: I'm sorry, I wish I could help you.

Emily: If you remember anything at all, please, please give us a call. Here.

Man: The mountains.

Nikolas: What?

Man: My family has a cabin up in Rocky Gap. Sarah seemed very interested in the town. She asked all kinds of questions about it.

Emily: There it is.

Nikolas: Yeah, yeah.

Emily: There it is -- Rocky Gap.

Nikolas: That can't be more than an hour from here.

Emily: Close enough for Colleen to drive.

Nikolas: Right, but not a place where anyone would guess she would go.

Emily: Makes sense.

Nikolas: She's there. I know it.

Car door shuts.

Helena: Well, I assume you followed my instructions as agreed?

Man: They bought every word. They'll be on their way to Rocky Gap anytime now.

Helena: Hmm. Nikolas is making this so pitifully simple. He almost deserves what comes next.
