Woman: How old is your son?
Nikolas: 10 months.
Woman: Oh.
Nikolas: Yeah, I admit, I'm guilty of being somewhat of an overprotective parent.
Woman: Oh.
Emily: He actually took a paternity leave from his job.
Woman: Oh.
Emily laughs.
Woman: How progressive.
Emily: Yeah. He's been at home with me and the baby just bonding like crazy.
Nikolas: I'm already experiencing separation anxiety. So if you don't mind, we just want -- we just want to ask a few questions, maybe take a look around before we decide if this is the right place for our son.
Woman: I don't mind at all.
Nikolas: Okay.
Emily: My husband and I are lucky enough to have jobs that allowed us some time off after the baby was born.
Woman: Hmm.
Emily: But now we have to get back to work and --
Woman chuckles.
Emily: We just wanted to make sure that he's somewhere safe.
Woman: Of course.
Nikolas: And we were also hoping that he gets some sort of socialization. Do you have any other children his age?
Woman: We usually don't start children that young involved in play as much as under supervised care. But we did just start one little boy. He's 10 months, too. His mother works here. And maybe there's something --
Fire alarm.
Woman: That can be -- that's the fire alarm.
Nikolas: Yeah -- um --
Woman: We need to get the children to the exits as quickly as possible. Will you help?
Emily: Of course.
Nikolas: Yeah.
Woman: Girls -- come to the hallway with me.
Emily: Come on.
Woman: Come on, sweetie. Come on. Can you come around here? Okay. We're just going to go outside really quickly here. Come on, girl. That's great.
Woman: Okay.
Fireman: We've checked the entire building. There's no sign of fire, or even smoke.
Woman: Oh. Maybe the system is faulty.
Fireman: No, an alarm was pulled in the backroom. Is everyone safe and accounted for?
Woman: Yes, except for my new assistant and her baby son.
Fireman: Well, maybe they left before anything happened. I'll leave you to sort it out. But give me a call if you can't find her.
Woman: Oh, thank you.
Nikolas: Excuse me.
Woman: Hmm?
Nikolas: I'm sorry, how -- how old did you say your assistant's son was?
Woman: 10 months, same as your little boy. He was just there in that Exersaucer, and --
Nikolas: Wait a minute.
Woman: Then I --
Nikolas: Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Emily: Yeah. Colleen saw us, she pulled the alarm, and she ran.
Nikolas: Yeah.
Woman: I'm sorry. You lost me.
Nikolas: Is -- is this your assistant and her little boy? She's a redhead here, but we think she may have died her hair.
Woman: Who are you?
Nikolas: Just -- just tell me if that's her.
Woman: I'm going to have to ask you to leave, now.
Emily: No, please. Listen, we don't have any time. We haven't been completely honest with you.
Woman: That's becoming clear!
Nikolas: This child your assistant claims is her own is my kidnapped son. And I need you to help me get him back.
Woman: Why should I trust either of you? You've already lied to me.
Emily: Just give us the benefit of the doubt. Assume that we're telling you the truth now.
Nikolas: Look, how will it look to people who entrusted their children to you when it comes out that you hired a babynapper?
Woman: I don't like your tone.
Nikolas: My to-- my to-- you know, we're just going to keep going around in circles here, so I'll just --
Woman: What are you doing?
Nikolas: I'll prove it to you. Port Charles, New York, Police Department, please. Thank you. Ask for Lucky Spencer. He's my brother. He's been working on the case since my son was taken on Christmas Eve.
Woman: Is Detective Spencer there?
Officer: Line one.
Ric: You better get that.
Lucky: Detective Spencer.
Woman: My name is Nancy Milford, and I run a daycare center in Denver. I'm standing here with a Nikolas cassadine, who claims --
lucky: Does my brother have a lead on Spencer's kidnapper?
Nancy: Yes, he does. I'm it. I'll be giving him all the information he needs to help find her.
Colleen: We're just going to grab a few things and get back on the road. And this time, Nikolas and nasty old Emily won't ever find us, I promise. Colleen's still got a few tricks up her sleeve.
Colleen gasps.
