January 2, 2007 Screencaps

Nikolas: This is -- this is ridiculous. We've been here almost an hour. I need to get to Denver now.

Emily: Yeah, you know, maybe we should wait until it's safe to fly, huh?

Nikolas: That -- that's time we can't afford. If Volleen kidnapped my son, who knows what else she's capable of?

Emily: Is there any guarantee that she's even in Denver?

Nikolas: I don't know. The flight record indicates that denver was her final destination -- that's where she checked her bags to. There's no record of a connecting flight.

Emily: Colleen knew that taking Spencer was going to trigger a huge manhunt. She could've changed identities in Colorado, flown under a different name.

Nikolas: All I know is that she's not in Port Charles, and I just can't sit around and wait for somebody else to figure out what happened to my son.

Emily: Nikolas, the police are doing everything they can. I'm sure they have the resources --

Pilot: Mr. Cassadine, the tower has cleared us for takeoff. We'll be pulling away from the gate in just a few minutes.

Nikolas: Are you sure you want to come, or would you rather stay?

Emily: You're out of your mind with worry, Nikolas, it's understandable.

Nikolas: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I shouldn't take it out on you. You've done nothing but try and help.

Emily: No, look, I'm tough, I can take it. Have you thought about what we're going to do when we get to Denver?

Nikolas: Yeah -- shoot first, ask questions later. Oh, you're right. I guess we -- we should probably have a plan.

Emily: You could offer a reward.

Nikolas: No, no, if -- if I go on TV, Colleen could -- she could run, or worse. She needs to think that she's gotten away with this.

Emily: Well, we -- we could search on our own, but we -- we don't even know the city, I wouldn't even know where to start.

Nikolas: Baby stores?

Emily: Okay, well, Colleen's going to have to buy furniture and baby clothes. I mean, babies need so much in the way of supplies.

Nikolas: Yeah. Yeah, we'll get a list of stores when we -- when we land. Oh, I don't know -- we'll go in, show them a photograph of Colleen and Spencer, right?

Emily: Well, wait -- and -- and say that he's been kidnapped? I don't know.

Nikolas: No, no, we'll need a cover story. I'll tell whatever lie I have to to get my son back.

Nikolas: I could say that Colleen is my -- my ex-wife, and that we're looking for -- for her and my son to settle some sort of custody agreement?

Emily: No, I --

Nikolas: No, that's not going to work.

Emily: I think that people tend to sympathize with the mother in custody battles.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Emily: We could say that -- that Spencer is ours. Uh -- Colleen's your sister, she was taking care of him while we were overseas, and she had to go back to Denver.

Nikolas: Well, we need to explain why we don't know where she is.

Emily: She didn't realize that we were going to be back this soon.

Nikolas: I -- ah --

Emily: Look, I think the bigger problem is, who's going to believe that -- that you're Colleen's brother?

Nikolas: Why not?

Emily: She's an ordinary, middle-class woman, and -- and you're -- you're a prince.

Nikolas: That's ridiculous -- I know how to be ordinary, I've done it before.

Emily: No -- come on, Nikolas, no one buys it.

Nikolas: So now you're an expert on all things blue-collar, she who grew up in the Quartermaine mansion?

Emily: I was a middle-class girl before Alan and Monica adopted me. I mean, you, on the other hand, have always been a prince. Come on, I'm serious. You don't even realize it.

Nikolas: Realize what?

Emily: Don't take me wrong, okay? I love you, this is not a criticism. It's just who you are. You have a stable full of horses. You drink a $100 bottle of wine like it's lemonade. You're used to people doing things for you. You live in a privileged world. "Ordinary" is a challenge.

Nikolas: If it helps me find my son, I'll change my whole life.

Phone rings.

Nikolas: It's the private investigator. Mr. Harker, hello. How are you? Good. Okay, very good. Thank you. Okay, Colleen had a grandmother who lived in the Cherry Hills section of Denver. That's a -- that's a good place to start.

Emily: Yeah.

Nikolas: Whew.
