Elizabeth: Her pressure is dropping.
Emily: We need to elevate her legs.
Nikolas: Okay, I'll prop her up.
Elizabeth: She's losing too much blood.
Emily: There's nothing else I can do for her. Robin needs surgery.
James: Hey -- didn't I make myself clear? You talk, you die.
Sam: We can't wait for the police to rescue us. We're going to have to get out of here ourselves.
Lulu: How?
Sam: There's a door at the end of the hall that leads to the parking lot.
Lulu: But even if we do make it over there, how do we get out? They sealed off all the exits.
Sam: No, no, no, the employee break room. There's an entrance there.
Lulu: I'm in. What do you want me to do?
Carly: Whatever you are planning, forget it. I am not going to let you risk your life to save me.
Sonny: Our sons need you, Carly.
Carly: They need both of us. I'm not leaving here without you.
Gunshot and Carly screams.
Sonny: You okay?
James: She's fine. Oh, dear. Missed. It appears from your mutterings back and forth that you've started to forget the guidelines for these proceedings. Allow me to refresh your memory. You are hostages -- you cooperate or you die. There are no other options. It's true that my team and I are waiting for the vault to open. We'd very much like to acquire what's inside. However, there comes a point at which any undertaking becomes untenable. So if you force us to cut our losses and leave without the item we came here for, we shall reciprocate by locking you up in the lobby and blowing you to kingdom come. So, you see, your ability to follow instructions may very well save your lives.
James: I imagine you're thinking about the detonator. Which one of us has it? Are we going to trigger it? After all, 60 seconds isn't that long. And will we make it out on time? I can assure you that our exit strategy is very well planned. We'll be leaving, you'll be staying. The only question is if any of you will be in one piece. You, Michael Corinthos Jr., I doubt you're conversant in the subject of explosives.
Sonny: I didn't go to high school, so I don't know what "conversant" means.
James: Take a guess.
Sonny: Okay. You got enough plastique here taped to the walls to blow this lobby sky-high.
James: Well, depending on its structural integrity, the explosion might take the whole building down. I have to admit that it's tempting to see what will happen. Oh, well. We'll just have to wait for that later.
Carly: I know his voice.
Sonny: Can you place it?
Carly: No, not without seeing his face.
Sonny: No, no, don't even think about it.
Carly: Don't you want to know who he is and why the hell he's doing this?
Sonny: We know why he wants the briefcase that alcazar put in that vault.
Carly: And after he gets it, he's going to blow the entire lobby.
Sonny: We got 12 hours --
Carly: We're just going to sit here?
Sonny: We got 12 hours before the vault opens. That gives us enough time to figure out a way to get out of here without you having to rip that mask off his face. Don't want to shake his confidence. Let him think he's in control of the situation.
Phone rings.
James: That would be the hostage negotiator preparing to bargain for your lives, but I'd rather give you the opportunity to win them back. So we're going to play another little game, which I like to call musical hostages. The rules are very simple.
Ring.
James: If I pair you off periodically, and at the end of each round, the one without a partner loses. Simple.
Lulu: What happens when there's an even number of people?
James: That's an excellent question -- you get 20 points.
Phone stops ringing.
James: I guess I'm going to have to find someone to get rid of. Hmm. I think I'll start with you. Come on. We won't be needing you at the moment.
Nikolas: Hey, take me instead.
James: You'll have to wait for the next round. I've already made my selection.
Nikolas: Can't you see she's pregnant?
James: Well, chivalry may not be dead, but she will if you don't back off. So sit down before I change my mind and play shoot-the-hostage instead. Go.
Lulu: Where are they taking Elizabeth?
Nikolas: I don't know.
Lulu: We have to do something to help her.
Sam: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no -- you would've been better off minding your own business.
Mateo: Where would that have left you?
Sam: What do you care?
Mateo: I would never do anything to harm you.
Sam: Oh, really? What about them?
Emily: No -- we have to keep pressure on the wound! She's going to bleed to death!
James: Put Mrs. Corinthos with the Commissioner's niece.
Sonny: No, wait, wait, wait --
Carly: Why? Why? Why? Emily's the doctor. I can't help her.
James: Now, this is your hotel. As you pointed out, the guests are your responsibility.
Carly: I can't help Robin! I don't know how!
James: Then it should be fun to watch you make it up as you go.
Woman: Where do you want him, boss?
James: Looks like you're the odd man out. Take care of him.
Carly: Robin won't last five minutes if Max doesn't help me.
James: All right.
Max: Thanks, Mrs. C, I owe you one.
Sonny: How's Robin doing?
Emily: She's going to bleed to death if we don't find some way to get her out of here.
Phone rings.
James: That must be the Commissioner, no doubt waiting for an update on his niece. What shall I tell him?
Carly: To blow your head off?
Ring.
James: Yes?
Ric: This is District Attorney Richard Lansing.
James: Oh. What about Commissioner Scorpio?
Ric: Well, he felt that I might be in a better position to help you.
James: Is that so?
Ric: Is there anything that I can get you to make you more comfortable in there?
James: Well, let me think about it, Mr. Lansing. I'll get back to you.
Ric: The man on the phone didn't sound panicked or particularly worried about anything, which means he doesn't have a lot of incentive to negotiate.
Mac: What about Robin?
Ric: He didn't mention her.
Elizabeth: Do whatever you want. Please, just don't hurt my baby!
Door locks.
Elizabeth: No, no, no, no, no, no, don't leave me in here! Please don't leave me in here! You can't do this!
Elizabeth sighs. Groaning.
Elizabeth: Dr. Quartermaine? Dr. Quartermaine, can you hear me?
Alan: Where'-- where's Robin?
Elizabeth: She's all right. Emily's taking care of her. Don't worry. We're going to get out of here somehow. Someone is going to come get us.
Sam: You knew how to fight once. I'm sure you could manage it again.
Woman: No, no, no! Please -- please don't! Please!
James: Down.
Sam: Excuse me. The people who are helping out Robin -- they could use a hand.
James: Are you offering your services?
Sam: I'm not a nurse, but I know how to apply pressure to a wound.
James: I'll keep you in mind.
Sam: I've heard that voice before.
Lulu: He's back. Now's our chance.
Nikolas: Chance for what?
Lulu: If we go to the break room, we could sneak out the back and get help.
Nikolas: No, you stay -- you stay right here.
Carly: How's her pulse?
Max: It's weak, but it's steady.
Carly: Not for long. She is losing so much blood and this thing is soaked. We're going to have to replace it with something else.
Max: Here, take this.
Emily: Carly, don't! Her blood won't be able to clot if you take that off. Add the jacket on top.
Max: All right, let's put it on top.
James: Your shift is over, Doctor.
Emily: I was just trying to help them get the bleeding under control.
James: Give another tip like that, you'll be bleeding faster than your patient.
Sonny: She made a mistake. It's not going to happen again.
James: Make sure of it.
Sonny: Okay, you want to help? You sit here, pretend to cooperate. The less attention you call to yourself, the easier it will be to slip out of here if there's an opening.
Emily: I'm not leaving here until we're all released.
Sonny: Somebody has to tell the cops that this lobby is wired to explode.
Phone rings.
James: Perhaps you don't understand the protocol. When I say "I'll get back to you," that indicates that you should wait for the phone to ring.
Ric: Yes, I understand. Can you -- can you give us an update on Robin Scorpio?
James: Well, I shot her in the stomach. She's still breathing, but she's also still bleeding.
Ric: Why don't you let us take her out?
James: I'm not going to be able to release any of the hostages. You see, I've grown quite attached to the lot of them.
Ric: Just at least let us get some medical supplies in there.
James: I'll get back to you. To be clear, that means you should wait for my call.
Ric: You just tell me what you want and I will get it for you. Look, he may allow us to get some supplies in there.
Patrick: Well, we better think fast, because I know she doesn't have much time.
Ric: Look, I wouldn't get your hopes up. This guy doesn't care whether Robin lives or dies.
Nikolas: Lu, get back here. Get over here.
Carly: Oh, man.
Max: Mrs. C, if you need a break, I can take over.
Carly: Max, you shouldn't even be in here. If I didn't put you between me and Sonny's fight, you'd be in the coffee shop right now, not involved in this mess.
Max: No, no. No, no, I'd rather be in here -- than out there worrying about you.
James: Going somewhere?
Lulu: I just wanted to get some water.
James: Oh, apparently, you don't need those pretty little legs to get it. So we'll just shoot the right one.
Lulu: No, please.
Carly: I can't do this.
Max: Mrs. C, what are you doing?
Carly: I can't do this!
Max: Sit down, sit down.
Carly: I don't even like Robin -- and here I am covered with her contaminated blood! Why should I risk my life to save hers?
James: Well, if you'd rather sit back and watch her die, by all means.
Carly: I don't even know if she is breathing. I am not a doctor.
James: Does she have a pulse?
Max: I don't know.
Carly: You have to let Emily help her.
James: Emily, would you care to assist?
Emily: Of course.
James: Say "please." Pretty, pretty please?
Emily: Ple-- please.
James: And what are you willing to give me back in return, Emily, darling? Hmm? I'm sure we can come up with a mutually beneficial arrangement. Should we go somewhere less public?
Nikolas: You lay a hand on her, I swear --
Lulu: No! No, please, please --
Sonny: No! Come here.
Lulu: Don't hurt my brother! This is my fault!
James: Defiance is clearly a family trait. You should learn from his example.
Emily: Look, Nikolas was acting on instinct. He was afraid that you were going to hurt me.
James: Are you afraid?
Emily: Which answer would save Nikolas?
James: That one. Congratulations, the lovely lady just bought you some more time. Use it wisely. And since you seem to be so adept at controlling him, Nikolas will stay with you for the foreseeable future. Let's change things up a bit, shall we? Here we go.
Lulu: No, no!
Sonny: Okay, don't let him yank your chain. If you don't get a grip, you're going to get us all killed.
Lulu: Oh -- oh!
James: You, over with her.
Max: What about Robin?
James: You, take over.
Lulu: Me?
James: You obviously need --
Lulu: Ow!
James: Something to occupy your time. You, feel free to help. We can't risk infecting the entire room, can we?
Carly: It's okay, I got it. It's okay.
Goon: Move.
Carly: Robin needs a doctor.
James: Yes, well, Emily and I still have to finalize a few details. If you'll excuse us.
Sonny: Emily's been through enough. She shouldn't have to watch you die.
Emily: Where are we going?
James: I thought you might want a few moments to find out what you're willing to do to help poor Dr. Scorpio.
Emily: Robin needs surgery. You have to let her out of here.
James: I don't have to do anything.
Emily: If she's not evacuated soon, Robin is going to bleed to death. Nothing in that vault could be worth someone's life.
James: Well, that's a matter of opinion, darling.
Emily: My -- Dad? Hi. Are you all right?
Elizabeth: He's a little disoriented. I think he has a concussion.
Alan: How's Robin?
Emily: I did what I could to control the bleeding, but her pulse is getting weaker.
Alan: Okay, who's with her now?
Emily: Carly and Lulu.
Alan: Listen, she is critically injured. Her low blood volume could stop her heart anytime. I've really got to go out there --
Emily: No, no, no -- you need to lie down, okay?
Alan: We -- we have to go out there for her, Em. Come on, now.
James: I'm afraid only one of you will be rejoining the group, so which one will it be?
Elizabeth: I'll go.
Emily: You sure?
Elizabeth: You stay with your dad. Yes. Here, take this. I'll be fine. Okay.
James: Come on. Go.
Alan pants.
Emily: Dad, a concussion would explain the dizziness but not the shortness of breath. Do you feel any pain?
Alan: Oh -- in my chest.
James: Have a seat.
Elizabeth: But I thought you brought me out here to help with Robin.
James: Well, you thought wrong.
Phone rings.
James: There's a regrettable lack of courtesy in this town. Yes?
Ric: If Dr. Scorpio dies, you are looking at murder with special circumstances, and that is the death penalty. For her sake, as well as yours, I'd like to propose an alternative.
James: I'm listening.
Ric: What needs to go in?
Patrick: Okay, we need gloves, sterile sponges, a scalpel --
James: Why not bring in the whole bloody O.R.?
Ric: It's too much.
Patrick: Listen to me, I need to know the exact location --
James: No, we don't have to do anything. We're going to leave everything the way it is. Bye.
Patrick: -- Listen -- damn it!
Alan: You should be out there with Robin.
Emily: You can barely catch your breath.
Alan: It's a panic attack, it'll pass.
Emily: You could be having an M.I.
Alan: Hey, it's your grandfather with the heart condition, not me.
Emily: Dad, I just need you to stay here and rest, okay?
Alan: I was a doctor before you were even born. I know the difference between a panic attack and a heart attack. Now, I just need to walk around for a few -- oh --
Emily: No -- oh, all right, Dad, just lie back. Lie back, okay? I need you to take some deep breaths. You hear me?
Alan groans.
Emily: Dad, just stay with me. Dad, can you hear me? Help! Somebody help me in here!
Nikolas: Where's Emily?
James: Your girlfriend is tending to her father. Tell me, is she as beautiful out of her dress as she is in it?
Nikolas: You lay a hand on her, and I will kill you.
James: I'm not the one living on borrowed time. But if you want to survive this, you might want to counsel your friend on the benefits of compliance.
Sonny: I'd rather talk to you.
James: About what?
Sonny: I want to make you an offer.
James: Find another office for Mr. Corinthos. See to it that he's comfortable.
Lulu: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I should've listened to Nikolas and stayed where I was supposed to.
Carly: You took a chance to make things better. There's nothing wrong with that.
Lulu: Robin's not getting better, is she?
Carly: She's not going to die. Do you hear me, you self-righteous twit? I am not going to let everyone blame me for letting you bleed to death. Now, you suck it up and you live.
Robin: What are you doing?
Carly: I'm saving your life.
Sam: Where did they take you?
Elizabeth: To an office down the hall.
Sam: Past the boutique?
Elizabeth: Yeah.
Sam: Were there any guards there?
Elizabeth: I don't know. Why?
Sam: Because the boutique manager left her phone with me at the front desk this morning, and I went to bring it back and she was already gone.
Elizabeth: Where is it now?
Sam: It's in the top drawer. Look, if one of us could go there, I'm sure --
Elizabeth: No, don't -- don't even think of it. If they catch you making a phone call, they're going to kill you.
Sam: No, are you kidding me? I'm not going to wait here, waiting to get killed.
James: There seems to be a lot of chatter coming from this side of the room. I think a time-out is in order. Come here, you. You really, really shouldn't have done that.
