Elizabeth: So now you're running around using your badge and your back injury to con pills out of unsuspecting doctors? My God, Lucky, when is this going to end?

Lucky: You're avoiding the question.

Elizabeth: Oh, am I?

Lucky: Yeah, I asked you the real reason why you wanted to end our marriage.

Elizabeth: Because you're a drug addict, and I will not subject any child of mine to the irresponsible way you live your life. Is that real enough?

Lucky: Why don't you just admit it? You're using the pills as an excuse. You're just -- are you mad at me because I had a thing with Maxie? Well, I put an end to that for good. I'll never see her again.

Elizabeth: Just leave me alone.

Lucky: Listen, you -- you got to listen to me. I'm never going to let go of you.

Nikolas: Get your hands off her.

Lucky: You need to butt out. This has nothing to do with you. It's between me and my wife.

Nikolas: Lucky, you don't have a wife anymore because you drove her away by choosing your drug habit and your girlfriend over your marriage.

Lucky: Listen, I am not an addict. These -- these are a prescription.

Elizabeth: Because you're lying to the doctors to get them.

Lucky: A staff doctor at Mercy Hospital would be able to tell the difference between a junkie and a patient in need.

Emily: Lucky, maybe you should go.

Lucky: You know what? I never should've bought into your speech about my so-called drug addiction because it doesn't exist.

Nikolas: No? Well, let's just take inventory for a minute, shall we? Okay, you cheated on the love of your life. You -- you alienated your friends, your family. Your wife is divorcing you, Lucky. Your life is falling apart. You understand that?

Lucky: You know what? My career is solid. It's -- it's better than it's ever been. In fact, the reason it's so good is because my brothers have given me their support from the force. Too bad I can't say the same about any of you.

Nikolas: This -- this is ridiculous. My aunt is in there fighting for her life, while you're throwing yours away and scrambling to justify it. Now, you can disrespect your own life if you want. That's your prerogative. But not me, not Emily, and not Elizabeth ever again, or I'll make sure you regret ever even looking at a pill. Now, just go home, Lucky, if you have one.

Emily: Are you sure you're all right?

Elizabeth: No. I'm just doing what I have to do.

Emily: I hate that this is happening. Is there anything we can do to stop it?

Elizabeth: Can you take away the drug addiction? How about that image that's been seared into my brain of my husband having sex with Maxie?

Pager beeps.

Emily: Oh, God. Elizabeth, I'm so sorry. I -- I have to go.

Elizabeth: Go, it's fine.

Emily: Will you page me if there's any news on Alexis?

Nikolas and Elizabeth: Yeah.

Emily: Okay.

Nikolas: Oh.

Elizabeth: Where do I even begin to thank you? For sticking up for me and not saying anything about my pregnancy? I know it wasn't easy keeping your mouth shut in front of Lucky, and especially keeping a secret from Emily when I know you guys are trying to rebuild your trust.

Nikolas: Your pregnancy is your decision to tell or not to tell. What worries me is the constant fighting with Lucky, on top of keeping such a huge secret, only adds up to exactly what you're trying to -- trying to avoid -- that's stress.

Elizabeth: I'm a lot stronger than I look.

Nikolas: Hey, you don't have to convince me of that.

Elizabeth: Well, if anything, tonight just reinforced my decision. Lucky's so far in denial, he won't even acknowledge that I filed for divorce, much less the extent of his addiction.

Nikolas: I just -- I feel so helpless. Lucky's in the worst trouble of his life, and there's nothing I can do to help him.

Elizabeth: Welcome to my world.

Sam: What happened? Is everything okay with Alexis? Please, tell me my mother survived the surgery.

Robin: Alexis survived the surgery. The chest tube is relieving the pressure on her lung.

Nikolas: Thank God.

Sam: Okay, I -- um -- I guess I should -- somebody call Ric.

Robin: I just called him. I'm going to tell you what I told him. This is one small win in a long line of bigger battles. Alexis is still critical. And if she doesn't respond well to the medication for her pneumonia --

Nikolas: So, she -- she may still not make it?

Robin: I promise you, we're going to do everything in our power to make sure that doesn't happen.

Sam: Thank you. Um -- I'm going to go home to check on Kristina and Molly.

Nikolas: Okay.

Sam: Do you want to come or --

Nikolas: No, no, no. Just give Kristina my love for me, okay?

Sam: Okay.

Nikolas: Excuse me. If you're -- if you're here to check on Alexis, it's still touch and go.

Jason: Oh, she made it through the surgery?

Nikolas: Yes, yes, but apparently, that may not be enough. I -- I don't know if Sam has spoken to you or not, but we've discussed what will happen to Kristina and Molly in the event that Alexis doesn't make it. I -- I told her that I'm -- I'm fine with her raising the girls, as long as she's not with you. It's not personal. But Alexis has made her -- her wishes clear, and I'm obligated to push them through. So would you please give me your word? If Alexis does not make it, you stay away from Sam and my cousins?

Jason: I'll respect whatever decision Sam makes.

Nikolas: Okay, that's a start. Thank you. I'll talk to you later.

Elizabeth: Okay. Thanks. Hey, are you okay?

Jason: Yeah, yeah. You know what? I just -- I need -- I need an honest answer.

Elizabeth: Okay.

Jason: Okay? From what you know -- from similar cases you've seen, do you think Alexis will live?

Elizabeth: Well, I can't say there's no hope. But at this point, I don't think she can survive.
