Sam: People recover from pneumonia all the time.
Alexis: It's not as easy for people with lung cancer.
Sam: You just -- you get plenty of rest and take your antibiotics, and I am sure you can beat this.
Alexis: Don't get me wrong, I'm not giving up. I'm not. I'm just being realistic.
Sam: Right, and the reality of the situation is you survived the surgery. So, with all the help that you have, I am sure --
Alexis: The reality is, is that the cancer is, in fact, spreading, and I can't do the chemo right now. That needs to be postponed until they get the pneumonia under control. The fact is, is that I may not wake up, so I need to use the time that I have left wisely. So I would like to say goodbye to Kristina and Molly, and I would like to do it in a way that doesn't upset them. I'd also like to see Jax and Nikolas. And I would like the two of you to take note of what's happening to me and not waste one more minute feeling guilty or resentful -- I'm trying not to.
Sam: Just don't talk like this, please.
Alexis: I don't want Molly and Kristina affected by anything that's happened in the past because I want their future to be positive, so you two need to be kind to each other to show an example of what a cohesive family you are.
Ric: Well, they're going to have one, and you're going to be part of it.
Alexis: I don't them to have a childhood like I had, do you understand? I don't want fear, and I don't want confusion. I want them to have a safe place in your hearts and a good place in the world, and I am counting on both of you to make this okay for them.
Nikolas: Sam?
Sam: Hey.
Nikolas: Thanks for calling. I got here as quickly as I could. How is she?
Sam: Alexis has pneumonia. The doctors -- they are going to put her on a ventilator and induce a coma so they can treat her. She wanted to see you to say goodbye. You know Alexis -- she thinks she's going to die, so --
Nikolas: Yeah. Excuse me.
Ric: I'll be back. I'm going to go get the girls. You all right?
Sam: Just leave me alone.
Ric: You don't get it, do you? You're acting exactly the opposite of the way Alexis wants us to act.
Alexis: I am just so proud of you.
Nikolas: For anything in particular?
Alexis: Yes, actually. You have really great table manners. You always have, and I want you to teach them --
Nikolas: Stop.
Alexis: To Kristina and Molly. And I want you to travel with them, too, because I want them to feel comfortable in all the places in the world.
Nikolas: Alexis --
Alexis: And I want --
Nikolas: Alexis, stop, stop. You're going to be here to take care of all of that.
Alexis: You are never, ever allowed to lose that noble part of you and the generous part of you. And for God's sake, whatever is going on with you and Emily, don't blow it.
Nikolas: Huh.
Alexis: Don't retreat behind that stupid, stupid Cassadine wall of pride. It's not worth it because, in the end, love is all there is.
