September 12, 2006 Screencaps

Emily: Call 911.

Colleen: Right away.

Nikolas: Okay, okay. Is he breathing?

Emily: No. Has Alfred ever mentioned problems with his heart?

Nikolas: No, no, not to me.

Emily: He could be in cardiac arrest.

Nikolas: He was fine just now. What could've brought this on?

Colleen: What's happening? Please tell me Alfred's okay.

Nikolas: He's been Medevac'd to G.H. Emily and I are heading there now.

Colleen: I'll watch Spencer. Please, keep me posted.

Nikolas: Absolutely.

Colleen: I cleaned up. I -- I didn't know what else to do. He'll be all right, won't he?

Emily: It's still touch-and-go, but Alfred stabilized, so that's good news.

Colleen: Thanks for the update.

Emily: Too late for a visitor?

Alexis: Not if it's you. You're a little overly dressed for an after-hour visit.

Emily: Nikolas and I were going to the mayor's cocktail party, but Alfred suffered some kind of attack. We think it might be his heart; we're not sure. But we were here waiting, so we thought that we'd check up on you.

Alexis: I still haven't got past the part of you and Nikolas going to a party.

Emily: Uh -- it's not the way you think.

Alexis: Well, how is it?

Emily: Complicated. But I brought you something that's simple.

Alexis: Ah. Chocolate chip cookies.

Emily: I thought they'd be right on time.

Alexis: Bless you. Do you want one?

Emily: No, no, you go ahead. Enjoy.

Emily laughs.

Alexis: Mmm. How is Spencer?

Emily: Spencer is perfect, and Nikolas is really starting to grow into his father role.

Alexis: I'm sorry I'm missing that. That happens a lot lately -- weighing regret.

Emily: Why don't you start looking at the changes you're going to make when you get well instead?

Alexis: It's that easy, huh?

Emily: No, not at all. I had my own experience with cancer. Remember, I know what it feels like to -- to feel like hell and -- and use all of your energy trying to reassure everybody that you're going to be okay.

Alexis: How did you handle it, the cancer?

Emily: When I first found out, I did everything wrong. I lied to the people who loved me, I kept my diagnosis a secret, and then I got angry instead of getting the help that I needed. I shouldn't have made it. I honestly don't think that I would be here if it hadn't --

Alexis: Hadn't what?

Emily: No, medical treatment helped, of course, definitely. But in the end, I honestly believe that I'm alive today because of Nikolas.

Emily: I was almost out of here. I saw the white lights and everything. But my connection with Nikolas was so strong that it literally brought me back.

Alexis: That's pretty profound, you know -- I mean, to have a love that is as strong as that. Now, I know that you guys have had some obstacles, but since he's free and -- and you're free, maybe you could, you know, give it a shot.

Emily: Okay, I still have some things to get past.

Alexis: Yeah, I know. So what do I know? I'm just a woman with cancer who would like to see the people that she loves --

Emily: Oh, you're incorrigible. You're trying to manipulate me from your hospital bed.

Alexis: That was really shameless, wasn't it, to use the gratuitous cancer thing already? Seriously. I mean, if you love him so much, that you could be on the brink of something like this, and just thinking about him can make you want --

Nikolas: Hello.

Emily: Okay, zip it.

Nikolas: How you feeling?

Alexis: Not bad. Your cufflink's loose.

Emily: What? Again?

Nikolas: Oh, yeah.

Emily: Here, let me fix it.

Nikolas: Thanks.

Alexis: Emily was just giving me her personal insight on the healing power of love.

Nikolas: Oh.

Emily: Yeah, and a positive attitude helps, too, of course. Um -- Nikolas --

Nikolas: It's fine.

Emily: This is hopeless.

Nikolas: Don't worry about it. Thanks.

Emily: Is there any word on Alfred?

Nikolas: Oh. Well, they're going to keep him here overnight. There's -- there's nothing more we can do here. But we can stay here and hang out with you.

Alexis: Actually, I'm really tired. I think you two should go to the party together and have a good time.

Nikolas: I think it's probably breaking up by now, right?

Emily: Yeah, I think I'm kind of ready to call it a night.

Nikolas: Okay. I'll take you home.

Emily: Okay.

Nikolas: Bye.

Alexis: You look very dapper.

Nikolas: Thank you.

Emily laughs.

Emily: I'll -- I'll be right there, okay?

Nikolas: Okay.

Emily: Hey, Alexis, you know, for what it's worth, the thing about cancer is you can't control it, so you start looking for what you can control -- you know, situations, other people -- which is fine if it helps you cope. But what I learned is that if you can be honest about what you're feeling and why, it makes it so much easier on everyone, especially you. Bye.

Lucky: You gave Lulu no emotional support. Now you're trying to -- to make up for your miserable failure by agreeing with the worst decision she's ever made?

Luke: It must be wonderful to be so right and so righteous all the time. I mean, you know everything about everything, don't you? I wonder why you didn't know Dillon was doing your little sister.

Lucky: Oh. That's a good one, Dad -- just deflect the blame.

Luke: Blame is for children and politicians. Grow up, Lucky.

Lucky: Thank God Mom is not here right now. She would just hate you and Lulu both for what you're doing.

Lulu: Lucky, stop it!

Lulu: That's an awful thing to say.

Lucky: It's the truth.

Edward: You know, Lulu, no one loved children more than your mother. I can still remember her to this day taking such loving care of those unfortunate little babies at the Ward house.

Lulu groans. Dillon: You know what? I bet your mother would want you to have the baby.

Lulu: How the hell would you know? You never even met my mother! If you want to have a baby so badly, go out and have one with Georgie!

Luke: Come on, let's get out of here.

Lucky: No one is going anywhere! Lulu is not leaving until this is settled!

Lulu: Oh --

Luke: This is absolutely none of your business. If it's settled for Lulu, it's settled for you, for me, and for everybody else!

Nikolas: Hey, what -- what's going on here?

Lulu: I've decided to have an abortion! So go ahead, chime your voice in like everyone else and tell me what a selfish --

Luke: She's had enough opinions already!

Nikolas: Well, I have one to offer anyway. If this is the choice you've made, and you're sure of it, then I'm behind you 100%.

Lucky: Has everybody gone insane? The two of you --

Nikolas: Lucky --

Lucky: Stand here claiming to love Lulu -- and you want her to have an abortion?

Nikolas: Listen, you're not helping.

Lucky: What, and you think you are?

Nikolas: Don't you think you have enough on your plate right now? Why don't you take your wife home and let Luke and I deal with this?

Lucky: You know what? The hell with you. And you, too!

Elizabeth: Lucky --

Emily: Nikolas, you take of Elizabeth, and I'll stay here for Lulu.

Nikolas: Okay.

Emily: Good.

Luke: Are you all right? You look a little green.

Lulu: I am, all over.

Luke: All right, everybody out.

Edward: Look, I am tired of you telling me to get out of my own house.

Luke: She doesn't feel well!

Edward: Then let her rest --

Lulu: God, everybody, shut up!

Luke: Oh -- sweetheart -- Get me some water.

Colleen: So his condition is stable but he won't be released for a while? Okay, thanks. How's Alfred?

Nikolas: Not sure yet.

Colleen: That poor man. He's been so kind to me.

Nikolas: I know, I know.

Colleen: It would be awful --

Nikolas: I know, it's okay.

Colleen: I'm -- I'm sorry.

Nikolas: No, no, it's been an emotional evening for everyone.

Colleen: I'm -- I'm going to go check on Spencer.

Nikolas: Okay.

Colleen: Come with me?

Nikolas: Uh -- no, you go ahead. I'll be there in a minute.
