Laura: I want the kids to see that I'm all right. They must've been very worried.
Luke: Oh, they have been, believe me.
Laura: Well, then what's the point in waiting, Luke? It doesn't --
Luke: Sweetheart, I know you're always going to think of everybody else before you think of yourself. Please, give it some time.
Lulu: Mom?
Laura: Lulu? Oh, my God! Oh! You're -- you're all grown up. What happened? How long have I been like this? Oh, my God. How long have I --
Luke: Sweetheart, it's going to take a few minutes to adjust. It's a big shock to you; it's a shock for them, too. Let's just try to stay calm, and give it a few minutes.
Laura: No --
Lulu: I'm -- I'm sorry, Dad. Robin said that she was awake. I -- I just -- I didn't believe it. I'm sorry.
Luke: Shh.
Laura: How long have I been like this?
Lulu: Don't be upset, Mom.
Laura: God, my -- it's all right. How long?
Luke: It's been four years, angel.
Laura: I've been unconscious for four years? What happened to me?
Nikolas: Maybe I should -- maybe I should get the doctor?
Laura: No, please don’t. I -- I want just my family. Please.
Lucky: Listen, we're all here, Mom. We're going to take care of you.
Laura: I want to stand up.
Luke: Are you sure you're strong enough?
Laura: I want to try.
Luke: Okay.
Laura: Please, help me.
Nikolas: They walked with you every day -- exercise, massage so your muscles wouldn't atrophy.
Laura: I can do it. Okay. I love you. I love you, honey. Oh. Oh.
Nikolas: Yeah.
Laura: Nikolas? I love you.
Nikolas: I love you.
Laura: Oh. Oh, my -- my girl. Oh, my daughter. Oh. Luke, look at her. Look at our beautiful girl.
Luke: I know.
Lulu: I missed you so much, Mom.
Laura: I'm so sorry! Oh, God, I'm so sorry. No.
Laura: I missed so much.
Luke: Laura, there was an accident while you were preparing for the wedding, and you had to be hospitalized.
Laura: Was it some kind of a head injury or --
Luke: Yes, it was like that, but now it's okay. I mean, you're completely healed.
Laura: I don't recognize this place. It -- it's not General Hospital. It --
Luke: No, this is Shadybrook, just outside of Port Charles. They've taken very good care of you here.
Nikolas: And we all came to visit you all the time, kept you up on all the news.
Lucky: Yeah.
Lulu: Did -- do you remember anything, mom? Did anything that we say stick?
Laura: Uh -- uh, gee -- what did -- what did you say?
Luke: You know, I think we should go through all this later. Right now --
Laura: No.
Luke: You should probably rest.
Laura: No, I don't -- rest. My gosh, I was asleep for four years?
Lucky: I think Dad's right. You know what? We don't want to overload you.
Laura sighs.
Laura: No. Please don't -- don't leave me right now. I -- I want to hear something about each one of you, please.
Lulu: I -- I wouldn't know where to start.
Laura: Okay, honey. Um -- uh -- Nikolas, please, will you start? Hmm?
Nikolas: Um -- yeah, okay, okay. Let's see, here we go.
Laura: Oh.
Nikolas: That little boy's name is Spencer.
Laura: Spencer?
Nikolas: He's my son, your grandson.
Luke: I don't want anybody else to know about this -- not Bobbie --
Laura: Oh, gosh.
Luke: Or Lesley. Your mother needs time, as you can see, to adjust.
Lucky: Dad, I don't spend that much time outside these walls.
Luke: Well, make sure that your brother and your sister understand.
Lucky: What's the big deal?
Luke: Lucky, I've got reasons. Don't question me.
Laura: He's a beautiful baby.
Nikolas: Mm-hmm.
Laura: I can't wait to hold him.
Nikolas: Thank you.
Laura: I went to sleep a bride and woke up a grandmother.
Luke: Hmm. Well, you're still the most beautiful bride I've ever seen.
Laura: And you still make my heart race. So, who -- who's Spencer’s mother?
Nikolas: Her -- her name is Courtney Matthews?
Laura: Courtney Matthews -- do I know her?
Luke: Do you remember Sonny Corinthos?
Laura: Yes.
Luke: His sister.
Nikolas: Yeah, Mom. You -- you've met her once or twice before.
Laura: Oh. Uh -- are you still together?
Nikolas: No. No, unfortunately she -- she died shortly after giving birth to Spencer.
Laura: Oh, no. Oh, I -- I'm sorry. Did you love her?
Nikolas: Yeah, I sure did.
Laura: And now you raise this baby by yourself?
Nikolas: Well, I -- I certainly try. Huh.
Lulu: Oh, he tries -- he's great.
Nikolas chuckles.
Lulu: He's a wonderful father, and Spencer loves him, and before you know it, he'll be back with Emily.
Nikolas: Stop it.
Lulu laughs.
Laura: Emily -- Emily Quartermaine?
Lucky: Yeah, how about that?
Laura: Oh.
Lucky: The girl I used to raise worms with is the love of my brother's life.
Laura: Oh, my. Oh. Oh. Well, what about you? Is there a love in your life?
Laura: Oh. What happened between you and Elizabeth?
Lucky: Well, today is our first wedding anniversary.
Laura: Oh. Oh. I'm not really surprised. Some loves are just meant to be. Um -- I wish I could've been there. Was it a big wedding?
Lucky: It was great, but we missed you so much.
Laura: Well, I'm glad I'm here now. And Elizabeth -- is she still an artist?
Lucky: Yes, but she makes her living as a nurse these days.
Luke: Yes, and there's more. Brace yourself, darling -- it's ugly. Go on. Tell her.
Lucky: I'm a cop.
Laura: What? A cop?
Lucky: Yeah.
Lucky chuckles.
Laura: Oh. Oh, that's funny. Oh, how could you do that to your father?
Luke: I don't think it's funny.
Laura: I do!
Laura laughs.
Luke: I tried to disown him but, you know, he's independent, marching to his own drummer.
Laura: Oh, yes, and he always was. Oh. You and Elizabeth, hmm?
Lucky: Yeah. We've had our rough patches.
Laura: Well, what marriage hasn't? I mean, your father and I have certainly had our share, but love finds a way.
Lucky: Boy, Nikolas, he -- he beat us to the punch, but we're starting a family of our own soon.
Laura: Elizabeth is going to have a baby?
Lucky: Well, she has a son, Cameron. He's a great kid. I want to adopt him. And we just found out she's pregnant, too.
Laura: Oh. Are you happy about that?
Lucky: I can't wait.
Laura: Great. A baby is such a blessing. When you hold your newborn baby for the first time, you feel like, "Oh, this is what love looks like." And it changes you, forever. You never, ever forget it. And you know that now, don't you, Nikolas?
Nikolas: That's exactly right -- I do.
Laura: And that's how I felt the first time that I held you. And you, and you. Oh, my three miracles. Look at you now. Oh, Lesley Lu, please tell me that you're not going to make me a grandmother, too, at least not yet anyway.
Lucky: You can relax, mom. Lulu is not ready for those midnight changings and feedings and --
Nikolas: No, no. At least not in this point in her life, anyway.
Laura: Well, no, I -- I hope not, not at your age, anyway.
Lulu: Hmm.
Laura: So -- you go to school?
Lulu: Yeah, yeah. I -- I go to P.C.U. I'm not really that good of a student, but I'm really trying.
Laura: College?
Lulu: Yeah.
Laura: Yeah. Gosh. By the time I was your age, I was already in love with your father. My mother always used to say to me that -- my mother --
Lucky: She's good, Mom.
Laura: Oh.
Lucky: She's fine.
Lulu: Yeah, Grandma Lesley’s going to be so excited to hear that you're back.
Nikolas: Mm-hmm.
Lulu: Where did Dad go?
Laura: Uh -- he -- he left just a minute ago. Um -- that's typical. He'll come back. He always does. So, you have a boyfriend?
Lulu: Oh, no. I -- I kind of have bad mojo in that department.
Laura: Oh.
Nikolas: What about Elvis?
Lucky: Yeah.
Laura: Elvis?
Lulu: Oh, thank you. Yeah, that was doomed because I'm really high maintenance, and I -- I made him up. Yeah.
Laura: Oh, dear. Well, don't worry, you know? One day, you will find just the right boy. And who knows? You may have met him already, only one of you doesn't know it yet.
Lulu: Hmm.
Nurse: I hate to break this up, but Mrs. Spencer needs rest. And the doctors need more tests.
Lulu: No. Wait, that's not fair. We --
Laura: It's okay, honey. I -- I'm not going to go anywhere. Okay?
Lulu: Okay.
Laura: Bye. This has been really nice. Really nice.
Nikolas: It's a miracle. It really is.
Lucky: You have no idea.
Lulu: Mom, I'm going to go -- I'm going to find Dad and tell him to come back, okay?
Laura: Yes, that would be nice.
Lulu: Okay.
Laura: I'll be home soon.
Lulu: Okay.
Door closes.
