Sam: Hey.
Nikolas: Hey. Ahem.
Sam: I heard you fell off your mare.
Nikolas: I did. Not one of my more graceful moments.
Nikolas chuckles.
Sam: You okay?
Nikolas: Yeah, yeah, aside from a little ligament damage. The worst part is being stuck here. You don't realize what a tomb this place is until you can't leave.
Sam: Oh, tell me about it.
Nikolas: Anyway, I'm sure you didn't come here to listen to me whine. I assume it's about the trust that Alexis set up for Kristina and Molly.
Sam: Yeah. I figured Alexis had enough to deal with, so I hired another attorney to take care of the paperwork, so I figured I would come over and give it to you.
Nikolas: Yeah, well, I -- I can take a look at it now. It might make me feel productive.
Sam: Okay.
Spencer squeals.
Nikolas: Colleen? Okay.
Sam: Stay put. I've got him.
Nikolas chuckles.
Sam: Hi. Hi. Come here.
Nikolas: That's the hold-me-for-a-minute cry --
Sam: Oh.
Nikolas: By the way.
Sam: Hi.
Nikolas: He'll be back to sleep momentarily.
Sam sighs.
Nikolas: I can take him. It's okay -- I can take him.
Sam: No, it's okay. It's --
Spencer squeals.
Sam: It's not the baby, not this one, anyway.
Nikolas: What do you mean? I don't understand.
Sam: That Elizabeth may get to have Jason’s baby and I don’t.
Spencer fusses.
Sam: Hey.
Nikolas: Elizabeth and Jason slept together? What?
Sam: I know. Jason and I -- we were in a bad place, obviously. And Elizabeth and Lucky were in a bad place, and Jason and Elizabeth came together for one night because they needed -- something. I don't know. And it should have ended there, but Elizabeth came up pregnant. And now she doesn't know if it's Jason’s or if it's Lucky’s. But I -- I know.
Nikolas: Well, how do you know?
Sam: I don't know. I mean, call it -- call it what you will -- a woman's intuition. This really sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach that Jason is the father of this baby. And it makes me crazy. It makes me angry. It makes me it makes me really sad.
Nikolas: Well, it didn't make sense at the time, but I guess now I understand why Elizabeth didn't want to tell Lucky she was pregnant.
Nikolas: Elizabeth told me that she was pregnant from the very beginning, but she left out the part where she slept with Jason. I guess that's not something you tell your husband's brother.
Sam: Oh -- oh, why did I say anything? I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything. Please, don't say anything to Lucky.
Nikolas: No.
Sam: Elizabeth is afraid that he's going to go back on drugs again, and then she'll have that to worry about.
Nikolas: No, I -- I agree. He's just looking for an excuse right now, and I'm certainly not going to be the one to give it to him. But if Jason is the father, the truth's going to come out, and he's going to want to be a part of that child's life.
Sam: I know. You're right. Jason will definitely claim his child, and he will be with Elizabeth, and I'll lose him forever.
Nikolas: Hey, thank you for coming. Excuse me if I don't get up.
Jason: That's no problem. What do you need?
Nikolas: Sam was here. She was very upset, and I think you know why.
