In Spain, Emily decides she is going to leave because she is causing turmoil for Sonny. Sonny reassures her that she is not the cause for his nightmares, that it is triggered by something he can't control. Sonny explains his highs and lows and Emily suggests that he sees a doctor. Sonny adamantly refuses. Emily declares her love for him and states that she wants then to stay in Spain.
Nikolas runs into Ric, Alexis, and Kristina at Kelly's. He informs Alexis that he recieved a strange phone call regarding a cousin he never knew about. After Ric and Kristina leave, Alexis informs Nikolas of the daughter she had and gave up for adoption but learned that the child eventually died. Nikolas implores Alexis not to blame herself for her child's death. She asks him to keep the information to himself and he agrees.
