The following transcript is from the Nikolas and Maxie scene that pertains to NikE:
Nikolas: I'm happy for your sister and Dillon. I hope they spend the rest of their lives as in love as they are right now.
Maxie: Yeah. Makes you wonder how one person can end up with the right person and the other one just keeps making mistake after mistake, you know, like they either hold on too long or let go too soon. They can never seem to end up with their perfect person -- if such a person even really exists.
Nikolas: I'm probably not the best person to talk about this, okay? I mean, I had no doubt in my mind that my marriage to Emily would last forever, I mean, as certain as Dillon and Georgie were today, so --
Maxie: Yeah, but you were going to prison. You needed to believe in something good.
Nikolas: Yeah, but so many other things went wrong. You know, most of them weren't our fault and, ultimately, I mean, I just couldn't make our marriage work. It's not hopeless, though. I mean, I fell in love again.
Maxie: Yeah, but love is such a mishmash of things. I mean, sometimes I'm -- I'm certain that what I feel for Jesse is real, and then other times I'm so worried that I'm just so in love with the idea of being in love and that I want what Georgie has so badly I kind of talk myself into it.
Nikolas: There's nothing wrong with wanting love. It's as natural as breathing the air.
Maxie: Yeah, but how do you know when it's real?
Nikolas: If you have to ask me that, then it's probably better for you to wait and be sure. Because when you ask someone to open their heart to you, that's a big responsibility.
