At Greystone, Emily informs the boys that she won't be seeing them as much because their mom is all better and they don't need her now. Michael states the obvious, that Carly has been better since Christmas but they have still been seeing Emily a lot. Sonny comes to her rescue and informs the boys that it is time for Emily to get back to her own life.
At Kelly's, Nikolas runs into Lucky and Elizabeth and overhears their plans of going on a romantic getaway. Elizabeth doesn't believe that Nikolas knows nothing about it and leaves to let the guys get to their planning. After she leaves, Nikolas gives Lucky the keys to his cabin. Nikolas runs into Emily later at Kelly's.

Singer: That you think you know that you've reached the point
Carly: Emily.
Singer: When you're going to sacrifice who you really are
Carly: Look, I know that I'm the last person that you probably want to run into right now. I just want to say I'm sorry. I know how much it hurts to lose Sonny. Anyway, um, thank you for looking after Sonny and the boys while I was in Roselawn.
Emily: I -- I love them all. I -- I just wanted to help.
Carly: Sonny really cared for you -- he wasn't leading you on. You know, it just -- it couldn't last, and I'm sorry that you walked in and saw --
Emily: Carly, I know you're trying to help, but can you just do me a favor and please leave me alone?
Carly: Sure.
Carly leaves and Nikolas comes in
Singer: But it's so compromising is it easy
Nikolas: Hi.
Singer: Oh, how I wish that all my wishing would stop how do you know what's right?
Laughter
Nikolas: I'm sorry, I think I left my cell phone here. Is it anywhere?
Emily: Um -- is this it?
Nikolas: Yeah. Thanks. Mind if I sit down for a second? I -- I'm just a little tired. I'm not feeling too well.
Emily: Sure.
Nikolas: Yeah, thanks.
Nikolas coughs
Nikolas: Listen, I'm really sorry.
Emily: For what?
Nikolas: It's just I -- you know, I set this whole thing in motion. You know, I turned to Courtney, I -- I wanted it to last with her, I -- you know, I loved her, and maybe I still do, I don't know. I just -- I don't understand -- understand what happened. I'm sorry. I shouldn't be going on like that, especially to you. It was completely inappropriate. I'm going to go ahead and go. Oh.
Emily: Hold on. Nikolas, are you okay?
Nikolas coughs.
Emily: Come on. My God. Nikolas, you're burning up.
