Nikolas questions Sam and Jason about their file on Alexis but are interupted when Nikolas finds out that Lucky has been hurt. Nikolas and Emily talk in GH about Lucky being hurt. Jason continues to snub Emily and Emily is grateful that Elizabeth isn't hurt. Emily ends up back at Greystone with Sonny but learns that Sonny doesn't trust Jason.
The following transcript is from the Nikolas and Emily scenes:
Nikolas: What have you heard?
Emily: Uh - just that Lucky's been hurt.
Nikolas: We need to find out what -- there's your father, ask him.
Emily: I don't know if he's going to speak to me.
Nikolas: Let's try. Come on.
Emily: Excuse me, Dad, do you know where Lucky is?
Alan: E.R. He took a bad fall, hurt his back severely. He's going to need exploratory surgery to find out what's wrong with his spine. There's no paralysis, but he's in a lot of pain.
Emily: What about Elizabeth?
Alan: What about you?
Emily: What do you mean?
Alan: Where do we stand on the situation with you and Sonny?
Emily: I don't know what to say.
P.A. Announcer: Dr. Quartermaine, 3401.
Alan: Elizabeth is fine.
P.A. Announcer: Dr. Alan Quartermaine, call 3401.
Emily: I hate this.
Nikolas: I know. Why did you ask about Elizabeth?
Emily: Uh -- Manny took Elizabeth hostage --
Nikolas: What?
Emily: And Lucky was hurt trying to rescue her.
Nikolas: So his supposed transformation was a big lie? Alexis believed him, Robin believed him. Do you know how they're going to feel when they hear about this?
Emily: Alexis and Robin aren't responsible, I am.
Nikolas: I don't understand how you can feel responsible for anything Manny Ruiz does. Let me guess -- you don't want to talk about it?
Emily: You don't need to hear my stuff, Nikolas. You're already dealing with so much.
Nikolas: We always said that we would be best friends no matter what else happened. I told you earlier you can confide in me.
Emily: Sonny's been preoccupied with our relationship, so much so that he hasn't been able to take care of his own business.
Nikolas: And you know this for a fact?
Emily: He told me that he should've handled Manny, but that he's been distracted -- just one more reason why I shouldn't be with him.
Nikolas: Why, because you get in the way of his work? I'm t sure that's a bad thing.
Emily: Elizabeth and Lucky are two more people that are hurt by our relationship. I can't do this to anyone else. I've decided to end things with Sonny.
Nikolas: You told me that no matter how hard you tried, you couldn't stop loving Sonny. Did that change?
Emily: No.
Nikolas: Does he love you?
Emily: He says that he does. I -- I feel that he does.
Nikolas: Then how can you allow anyone to dictate what's right for you? You are so smart, Emily, about so much. You know -- you know that you have to follow your heart to have a worthwhile life.
Emily: At what price?
Nikolas: Well, what's the cost if you don't. Whose life is made better if you deny your own happiness?
Emily: You're so generous, Nikolas, but what about you? You're so worried about taking care of the rest of us. When are you allowed to be happy?
