April 4, 2006 Screencaps

At the P.C.P.D., Nikolas talks to Lucky about Jesse's death. Sonny asks Nikolas if he will escort Emily safely home while the Quartermaines watch the shooting report on the news.

The following transcript is from the Nikolas and Emily scenes.

Emily: I just need a second. I'll be fine.

Sonny: You don't realize what's waiting for you out there. The press is swarming. I know how you feel about me right now, Nikolas, but could you drive her home?

Nikolas: I'll do it for her.

Emily: Thank you, Nikolas. Can you excuse us for a second? Sonny. I saw the way you looked at Jason. You have to promise me that you're going to leave him alone. I don't want any trouble between you. He's furious enough as it is.

Sonny: This is just like you, worrying about everybody else after what you went through tonight. I hate what happened.

Emily: You had no idea that some guy was going to come in and start shooting like he did.

Sonny: But I should have!

Emily: Don't beat yourself up. We're okay -- that's what matters.

Sonny: Shh. Listen to me. Listen to me. Let Nikolas drive you home, okay? Hey, hey. I will call you later. Everything's going to be fine.

Nikolas: Ready?

Emily: Yeah.

Sonny: You want to hit me, go ahead. Hit me. I'm right here.

The Quartermaines gather around the TV to see the news report.

Reporter: Mr. Corinthos, were you the one here with the woman?

Second Reporter: Who was the woman?

First Reporter: Who was the woman, Mr. Corinthos?

Second Reporter: Emily Quartermaine, what were you doing with Sonny Corinthos?

Nikolas: Please, let us through. Let us through. No comment, please.

Reporter: Mr. Cassadine --

Alan: I can't believe what I'm seeing.

Monica: Well, at least Emily's all right.

Alan: Are you insane? She is anything but all right. For God's sakes, she's in a hotel room with Sonny Corinthos.

Tracy: Don't forget about the shooting.

Monica: Okay, let's not hear the salacious details, okay?

Alan: This is my worst nightmare -- Sonny Corinthos, the bane of my existence, and my beautiful, innocent little girl.

Ned: Well, I think you missed a few beats, Alan. Emily is not a little girl anymore and she's definitely not as innocent as she appears.

Emily and Nikolas are greeted by Alice as they arrive at the Quartermaine mansion.

Emily: How many?

Alice: A full house. I even threw Dillon and Lulu into the mix to fuel the dysfunction. They are so completely distracted with each other, you guys could just slip on upstairs and no one will be the wiser.

Emily: Thanks, Alice. You're a lifesaver.

Nikolas: No, no, no. Bring them out. We can deal with this head-on.

Emily: We do?

Alice: Emily's home.

Monica: Oh, at least you're safe.

Alan: She's anything but. What were you thinking?

Tracy: Clearly, she wasn't. Do you have any idea what you've done?

Ned: This coming from the woman who married Luke Spencer.

Lulu: Hey!

Tracy: Oh.

Ned: No offense.

Dillon: Guys -- um -- bottom line, she's a grown woman. Doesn't really matter what we think. She can do whatever she wants.

Alan: Did anybody ask you? At least you're back with Nikolas. He's certainly the lesser of two evils.

Emily (to Nikolas): Chime in anytime.

Skye: Has it occurred to anyone to let Emily speak?

Tracy: What could she possibly say? There she was, for the whole world to see.

Nikolas: Okay, quiet. God. You've had your say. Now, that's the end of it. The press has been berating Emily all night. Okay? It's enough. She just needs some privacy. She doesn't need the stress right now.

Tracy: Stress? Why is stress an issue? Oh, no. Oh, don't tell me! You're pregnant, too?

Emily: Not that it's any of your business, Tracy, but I'm not pregnant, and I have no intention of getting pregnant by Sonny or anyone else. But I am in love with him.

Alan: No, you're not, Emily. You can't be. You were in love with Nikolas, that was real. You can get it back.

Emily: Help me out here, Nikolas. Tell him how wrong he is.

Nikolas: I won't deny it. I still love you.

Nikolas: My love for Emily is a constant. But loving her means wanting her to have whatever she needs to be happy. If that's Sonny, then that's who she needs to be with.

Lulu: Do you have your listening ears on, people? That's what we should all want, is for Emily to be happy.

Nikolas: And as Dillon already pointed out, she's a grown woman, which means she gets to live her life any way she chooses, whether any of you approve of it or not. So if you can't find it within yourselves to support her, at least have the grace to accept her right to choose her own path. If that's still not motivation enough for you, try this. Any of you interfere with her, or whatever she wants to do, you deal with me. Now, please leave us.

Alan: Who are you, Stefan arisen from the dead? You can't order us around our own house.

Alice: Well, he just did. Now, come on, everybody, get out. Come on, move it.

Dillon: Okay.

Alan: Alice, you're on thin ice.

Emily: When you said you were going to confront my family, I almost freaked, but you were right. It was better to face them head-on. I'm sorry that you had to hear all about Sonny.

Nikolas: I meant what I said about wanting you to be happy. If you do love Sonny, be with him. Just be careful, okay? I couldn't stand it if anything happened to you.
