Courtney: I -- I waited for you at the hospital, and finally the nurse told me that you left.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Courtney: How's Elizabeth?

Nikolas: Considering what she's gone through, she's pretty remarkable.

Courtney: I bet it helped having all her friends around.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Courtney: I assume everyone was there.

Nikolas: I'd say it definitely had a positive effect. That's really all that's important.

Courtney: I'm -- I don't know, am I hearing that it didn't help you?

Nikolas: I just -- I feel useless, you know? I can't get that baby back; I can't unbreak Elizabeth’s heart. I can't do a damned thing

Lainey: It's not going as well as I thought.

Sonny: Well, you know, she has good moments and she has bad moments.

Lainey: But her bad ones are worse than ever.

Sonny: I can still help her.

Lainey: Listen, like you, I thought that there was an advantage to her being here as opposed to an institutional situation. But she's increasingly paranoid, and frankly I'm really worried about her.

Sonny: Carly listens to me.

Lainey: Mr. Corinthos, you can deny it all you want. Carly's becoming a danger to herself and to others.

Carly: Oh!

Reese: Carly!

Sonny: Carly?

Ric: What happened?

Justus: What happened?

Ric: We heard a scream.

Sonny: Carly, wake up. Can we get her up?

Emily: No, no, no. Careful, careful, Sonny, she shouldn't be moved.

Sonny: Okay, check her pulse, would you?

Emily: It's rapid. What happened?

Sonny: I don't know.

Reese: She just came tumbling down the stairs.

Carly: Sonny?

Sonny: Hey. I'm right here. You all right? Huh?

Carly: Where are the boys?

Sonny: They're at the gatehouse.

Carly: Are you sure?

Emily: Yeah, I just left them with Leticia.

Carly: Leticia's no match for them. You've got to go get them.

Sonny: Carly, we --

Carly: Go get my boys! She's in the house!

Ric: Whoa, whoa, Carly, wait a minute. Who? Who?

Carly: Faith. I saw her at the top of the stairs. That's why I fell down, because I was trying to get away from her. She's after the children! Oh, God, we have to protect them! Why is everyone standing around looking at me? Go get my kids!

Lainey: We're going to have to calm her down.

Ric: Carly, listen, Reese and I are going to go out to the gatehouse and we're going to make sure that the boys are safe, all right?

Carly: I got to --

Ric: It'll be all right. Come on.

Sonny: No, no, no, no, you -- you're not going to get up right now.

Carly: I got to go get Michael and Morgan!

Sonny: You need to take it easy! You need to take it easy; that's what you need to do.

Carly: I don't care about myself.

Sonny: Well, I care about you, the boys care about you. They are safe! Listen to me! Carly! I promise you -- listen, you know what you need? Okay, have Lainey check you out --

Carly: I'm fine.

Sonny: No, no, you're not.

Carly: I'm fine.

Sonny: Just let me -- do it for me.

Carly: Okay.

Justus: Sonny, Carly hit her head hard enough to knock herself out. We need to call 911.

Lainey: No sign of a concussion.

Sonny: Okay. Carly, listen to me, okay? You're going to have to be honest here. Listen to me.

Carly whimpers

Sonny: You're going to have to be honest here. If something's wrong with you, just say so and I will get you medical attention. But you know they're going to have to take you to the hospital.

Carly: No, you know -- no, I'm fine, actually. I feel fine. I just -- I just was a little shaken up, so maybe if I take a nap I'll be okay. Yeah, I'm fine. Can you help me up?

Emily: All right.

Carly: Oh -- oh, I think I twisted my ankle.

Emily: Okay, listen, I'll grab some ice.

Justus: No, no, Emily, I got it, don't worry about it.

Sonny: Can you take -- can you take her? It's okay, it's okay. Can you take her, please?

Emily: Yeah, yeah, come on, Carly.

Sonny: Emily, thank you.

Emily: Here, just put your weight on me.

Sonny: I'm going to talk to Lainey for a second, okay, Carly?

Lainey: Carly's gone untreated long enough. If you don't end this, I will.

Nikolas: I guess I just didn't realize how central Elizabeth’s baby had become, how it was a thing that we all revolve around. Jax was so obsessed over it that it pushed you away and opened you up to a relationship with me, which contributed to the end of my marriage with Emily, and it was the foundation that Elizabeth and Lucky were going to build their future on and, you know, just like that it's over.

Courtney: Wow. You are really hanging a lot on a baby that wasn't even born yet, Nikolas.

Nikolas: Yeah, I know. You know what? I don't even know what I'm saying, so just take whatever comes out of my mouth with a grain of salt, all right?

Courtney: Look, I know exactly what Elizabeth is going through right now --

Nikolas: Oh, man.

Courtney: That hollow feeling inside. And, I don't know, I learned something from it, though. I did. I mean, it's not just the mother that it affects. The loss touches every person around her, especially the people that are closest to her, and that is Lucky, Emily, and you.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Courtney: Maybe you're also feeling some kind of delayed reaction from being around Emily.

Nikolas: It's possible, I guess.

Courtney: Look, Nikolas, what's done is done. Okay, I broke up with Jax, you broke up with Emily, and it all happened -- oh, God.

Nikolas: What?

Courtney: No --

Nikolas: What's wrong? You all right?

Courtney: Mm-hmm. Apparently, my -- my motion sickness followed me home.

Nikolas: Oh.

Courtney: I started feeling queasy at the lodge, and it just hasn't gone away.

Nikolas: Well, I have a little remedy that Elizabeth taught me.

Courtney: What, crackers?

Nikolas: Ginger ale.

Courtney: You have ginger ale?

Nikolas: I do.

Courtney: Mm-hmm.

Nikolas: It's in the kitchen. I'll go get you some.

Courtney: Nikolas?

Nikolas: Yeah?

Courtney: Look, I know everything's pretty strange right now. But just because we're home, it doesn't mean we'll -- well, it doesn't mean that we have to lose what we had on vacation. Right?

Emily: Faith Rosco was a horrible person, Carly, who did awful things to you and your family. But that's over now. Faith is dead.

Carly: I don't need you to patronize me.

Emily: That's not what I'm doing.

Carly: I'm not an invalid.

Emily: Fine.

Carly: You think I'm making it up, don't you? Seeing Faith?

Emily: I think the mind can play tricks on a person when it comes to someone who terrorized their family. Carly, you just lost Sonny when Faith came along and stole your children, and she made you believe that you'd never see them again, that Michael was dead.

Carly: Yeah. And now I'm supposed to believe the same thing about Faith.

Emily: Carly, you need to stop obsessing over Faith. She can't hurt you unless you give her the power.

Carly: Yeah, um -- you know, you might fool Sonny with this whole mealy-mouth, innocent act, but you're not fooling me. I know what's really going on.

Emily: Nothing is going --

Carly: You know what? Don't -- don't insult my intelligence. You think I don't know what all these people are doing, what all these extra guards and sudden activity outside means? You think I don't know what that means? They're gearing up for Faith. Sonny knows that she's around and he's getting ready for her. But meanwhile, you stand here trying to convince me that she's dead while you have my boys in the guesthouse?

Emily: What are you getting at?

Carly: You're Faith's accomplice. You're how she got in.

Emily: You can't believe that, Carly.

Carly: No. No, I know that. You're trying to help Faith steal my kids again. Well, you know what? Know this -- I'm not going to let it happen.

Emily: You're so wrong, Carly. First of all, Faith is dead. And second, if she were alive, I wouldn't help her out of the street if a truck was bearing down on her. I hated her as much as anyone.

Carly: Liar.

Emily: She used innocent kids as tools for --

Carly: Where is she? I'm not going to let you take my kids away from me again. I will not let you do that! Tell me where she is! Where is she?

Emily: Let me go.

Carly: What are you planning?

Lainey: Carly, let Emily go!

Carly: What are you --?

Lainey: Carly! I've got this, I've got this. It's okay. Let her go.

Carly: Where is she?

Lainey: Let her go. It's okay, it's okay, it's okay. It's okay.

Emily: Nikolas, it's me. I -- listen, I know it's late, but I really need to see you. I can't go into it on your machine but, please, if you get this message tonight, meet me on the pier. I'm headed there now.

Emily: Hi.

Nikolas: Hi.

Emily: You came.

Nikolas: It sounded important.

Emily: It is. At least to me. Nikolas, there are things that I've been wanting to say -- trying to say, and the timing never seemed right, and I think it finally is. I've come to a few realizations, and I thought it was only fair to share them with you.

Nikolas: Okay.

Emily: Nikolas, I've been holding on to just so much anger, and I realized tonight that it's pointless, not to mention paralyzing and counterproductive.

Nikolas: Yeah, yeah, it is, but you know what? You have every right to be angry. I should have been more sensitive to everything that happened to you.

Emily: No, you were. Nikolas, that's just it. I was the one with unrealistic expectations of you. I thought our love was so strong that it could work miracles, that it didn't need any help, that you'd sit by patiently, no matter how long it took and just wait for me to say, "The spell's broken, you can approach me now." But Courtney didn't come between us. I did. I gave Connor and Mary Bishop all the access they needed to destroy us, and then I wrapped myself up in denial and I laid down in the wreckage. And that wasn't fair to either one of us, Nikolas, and I'm so sorry. And I just wanted you to know that.

Nikolas: No, Emily, you don't have to apologize --

Emily: No, please, don't say anything. Just promise me that we can honor what we had together by putting down the acrimony and walking away with as much love between us as we walked in with.

Nikolas: Okay. That's a promise that I am happy to make to you.

Michael: Well, you think mom would want some of this?

Emily: Oh, you know, it's late, Michael, and she's finally sleeping. We shouldn't disturb her.

Faith: Come with me now and we'll be sure to see mommy first thing in the morning, okay?
