Nikolas: Hey.
Emily: Hi.
Nikolas: Nice surprise.
Emily: Yeah. I forgot my rings when I left this morning.
Nikolas: Maybe it's the universe giving us a sign.
Emily: Oh, a sign?
Nikolas: Yeah.
Emily: About what?
Nikolas: We're back together, so why are we still living apart?
Emily: I'll move back to wyndemere anytime you want. But to be honest, I'm kind of enjoying having an affair with my own husband. It makes me feel -- um -- vaguely naughty.
Nikolas: Ooh.
Emily: Watch.
Emily: Uh-uh, don't stop.
Nikolas: You want to know the best part about living in a hotel?
Emily: Um -- in-room massage services?
Nikolas: 24-hour room service. You want to have dinner in bed?
Emily: I -- I'd love to, but, you know, I just remembered that I have to go to the hospital.
Nikolas: For -- for what? I thought you were off tonight.
Emily: Yeah, I agreed to cover for one of the volunteers. I'm sorry. If I thought about it sooner, I would have been able to make other arrangements, but it's too late now. You know, at least we were able to spend some time together.
Nikolas: Yeah.
Elizabeth: Perfect.
Courtney: Are you nervous?
Elizabeth: Not really. I mean, Dr. Meadows explained the procedure, and she said it shouldn't be painful. And like I said, I love being pregnant, so --
Jax: Well, you have to know how -- how grateful Courtney and I are -- to both of you.
Elizabeth: Well, we're really glad we can help you guys. And thanks for helping us, too.
Elizabeth: Excuse me for a minute.
Courtney: I know this has -- has got to be kind of weird for you.
Lucky: Yeah, it's not something that happens every day. But, you know, I support Elizabeth's decision.
Elizabeth: Oh, thank god you walked in when you did. Because sitting with the parents of the child you're waiting to be artificially inseminated with gives new meaning to the word "uncomfortable."
Emily: I didn't realize that the procedure would happen so soon.
Elizabeth: Well, isn't that why you're here?
Emily: No, no, I didn't even know you were going to be here.
Elizabeth: Oh. Oh, I just kind of assumed you're here for moral support. Then what are you doing here? Because I know you're not working today.
Emily: Oh, you know, I just didn't have anything else to do, so I decided to come in and make myself useful.
Elizabeth: Wait a minute -- you have free time and you're not spending it with Nikolas? I don't understand.
Emily: You know, it's a delicate process. You know, Nikolas and I are still finding our way, and we don't want to rush things or pressure each other.
Nurse: Elizabeth, Dr. Meadows is ready for you.
Elizabeth: Well, here I go.
Lucky: I don't know what to say. Good luck?
Elizabeth: That'll do. Relax. Everything's going to be fine, okay? All right?
Jax: Fingers crossed.
Elizabeth: Hmm.
Lucky: Hey, I'm going to go -- I'm going to talk to my brother.
Jax: We'll just be right here.
Lucky: Right.
Nikolas: Hey.
Lucky: Hey. Hey, you want to go to the cafeteria and grab a cup of coffee?
Nikolas: Well, I'm actually looking for -- for Emily. She's filling in for another volunteer. Is she around?
Lucky: Yeah, you know what? She stopped by earlier, but she wasn't working. She spoke to Elizabeth for a few minutes and then she left.
Emily: I'm sorry for coming over without calling, Sam. I just desperately need some advice and I didn't know who else to go to.
Sam: I'm flattered. I'm flattered you thought of me.
Emily: Are -- are we alone? Is anybody else here?
Sam: Yeah -- no, no. Absolutely we're alone.
Emily: Okay.
Sam: Jason's out on business. What's the problem?
Emily: Oh, um -- I'm still not feeling anything with Nikolas and I'm afraid that he's starting to suspect and I need to turn things around.
Sam: Well, what do you mean?
Emily: I need to find a way to get back to the way things were, you know? To love him the way he needs. I want to make him happy.
