Nikolas: Are you okay?
Emily: No, I -- I love you, Nikolas. And it felt good to kiss you again.
Nikolas: This is nice.
Emily: Yeah.
Nikolas: What --
Emily: What?
Nikolas: What happened to your hand?
Emily: My God, I -- I guess I got it caught on a thorn.
Nikolas: Wait, you didn't feel it?
Emily: Nikolas, I've been waiting for this moment for so long, to be close to my husband again without fear getting in the way.
Nikolas: I knew it would happen if we wanted it enough. Come on, let's -- let's put something on this thing.
Emily: Yeah, okay. Can you --
Nikolas: Yeah.
Nikolas: Hello.
Elizabeth: Hey! Come on in!
Nikolas: Dinner is served.
Elizabeth: Oh, great.
Emily: We ordered from that place down the block. We thought you guys might want to try it.
Lucky: Well, that's great. So what do we owe you?
Nikolas: Oh, just the plates. That's fine.
Elizabeth: Oh, you guys, thank you so much. But, listen, Cameron’s sleeping, so just keep it down a little, okay?
Nikolas: Listen, do you have a bandage? She cut her hand earlier.
Elizabeth: Yeah, in the kitchen. Go on, I'll take care of you.
Lucky: Hey. You got -- thanks.
Elizabeth: All right. Let me get my bandage. What happened?
Emily: I was in the park at the gazebo where Jax and Courtney got married, and I got some flowers and pretended to walk down the aisle. Yeah, I know, it was silly.
Elizabeth: No, it sounds romantic.
Emily: Anyway, Nikolas surprised me and I nicked myself with a thorn.
Elizabeth: Okay, well, let me look. Let me see.
Emily: It's right --
Elizabeth: Jeez, Emily. It looks like you grabbed the whole stem.
Emily: Yeah. Well, something happened, and I got a little tense.
Elizabeth: "A little"?
Emily: Look, Nikolas kissed me, and I pretended that it was okay. I wanted it to be. But inside, Elizabeth, I was freaking out. I kept gripping the flowers tighter and tighter. I didn't even notice they were cutting me.
Nikolas: It's a big step, you know -- Emily letting me kiss her like that. I think -- I think things are finally starting to turn around for us.
Emily: You know, what happened tonight was a minor setback. The therapy's helping. I'm definitely making progress.
Elizabeth: Are you sure? Because if you're not, you know, we can talk about this.
Emily: No, I'm positive, Elizabeth. Nikolas and I are going to work out just fine, but -- and you tell me about you and Lucky. How are you adjusting to moving here?
Elizabeth: Oh, the only adjustment I've had to make is being happy all the time. I mean, Lucky’s so great, you know? He's been so helpful, and he and Cameron are practically inseparable. The only thing this -- oh, never mind. I just -- I shouldn't even think about it.
Emily: No, no, no. Listen, I promise, it'll just be between us.
Elizabeth sighs.
Elizabeth: Hmm. It's his apartment. I mean, it's great. I love it. For the time being it's wonderful, but sleeping in the living room is going to get old really quick. And I don't make that much money as a nurse and, you know, Lucky’s a cop, and he's not going to get rich doing that. I just can't help but think, "When are we ever going to get out of here?"
Emily: Well, you know, hey, there are people out there who would look at your situation and say, you know, "this is it?" But I look at it, and I say "this is it." I mean, the two of you are in love. You have your whole future ahead of you, you know? And for me and Nikolas, it's like we're -- it's just a matter of time, you know, before we feel that way, too.
Elizabeth: Thanks for coming over, you guys. Having friends for dinner really makes this place seem like a home.
Lucky: Yeah, even if you did bring the food.
Emily: Oh, it was our pleasure. I think you two are going to be really happy here.
Lucky: Yeah. We'll be fine.
Elizabeth: All right, good night, you guys.
Emily: Good night.
Lucky: Good night, good night.
The scene continues between Liz and Lucky.
Emily: You know, it's wonderful seeing Lucky and Elizabeth in love.
Nikolas: Yeah. Lucky was telling me that he's starting to feel like Cameron’s father.
Emily: Elizabeth says he's acting like it, too. You know, I'm so happy for both of them.
Nikolas: Yeah. I'm happy for us, too, you know? Tonight kind of felt like old times. Just hanging out, dinner with friends, kissing you.
Emily: It felt good for me, too.
Nikolas: Yeah?
