July 11, 2005 Screencaps

Lorenzo: Hey. I'm sorry the evening's turning out to be such a bumpy ride.

Carly: It'll even out once that woman is out of our house.

Lucky: I'm going to need everybody's attention. The bridge has been washed out. So like it or not, we're all stuck here for the duration.

Nikolas: Hey. Is anyone hurt?

Lucky: Listen, I just saw a lot of cars off the road, there were some trees down. And by the way, everyone, the hurricane's changed directions. It's heading right for us.

Lorenzo: Well, we'll just have to wait out the storm here. Fortunately, it's a big house, so everyone --

Ric: We need help.

Sonny: What happened?

Alexis: A tree blew down and almost hit us, and Ric had to swerve off the road into a ditch.

Lorenzo: The backup generator's working.

Nikolas: Are you both all right? What about the baby? How's the baby?

Ric: Alexis is having contractions. Are you all right?

Alexis: Oh, boy. Ow!

Ric: Okay, okay, okay.

Carly: Ric, you need these?

Ric: Thank you. Here, lean forward.

Alexis: Okay. Ow.

Ric: Okay, all right, easy, easy.

Alexis: Thank you, Carly. Oh, damn it!

Emily: Try to relax, Alexis.

Ric: Just try to breathe.

Alexis: Call Dr. Meadows, please?

Nikolas: I can't get a signal out here.

Lucky: Neither can I.

Jax: I have a satellite boost. It's searching.

Reese: We're right on the water. We're really going to be hit hard. We have to tape up the windows.

Lorenzo: All right, the last thing we need is breaking glass and debris. Carly, would make sure this room is taken care of?

Carly: Sure.

Lorenzo: You guys take the south side upstairs.

Jax: Hey, this should find a signal. Just listen for the beep, okay?

Elizabeth: Okay, thanks.

Lorenzo: Jax?

Jax: Yep?

Lorenzo: All right, I'll take the north side upstairs.

Sonny: Here, I'll go ahead and help.

Reese: Okay, what about the horses I saw?

Lorenzo: They're all in the barn.

Reese: Well, do they have bridles, name tags, anything that gives them I.D.?

Lorenzo: I'm not sure. The grooms are gone for the day.

Reese: Okay, well, a lot of people learned the hard way in Florida when Hurricane Andrew hit -- no I.D. on the horses.

Lorenzo: So we'll take care of the house first, then we'll worry about the horses.

Reese: Okay.

Carly: You seem to know a lot about Florida, where I'm from.

Reese: So?

Carly: I think it's a little more than a coincidence.

Elizabeth: Just one sharp pain, right?

Alexis: Right.

Elizabeth: Right. Were you wearing your seat belt?

Alexis: Yes.

Elizabeth: Yes. Do you think your water broke?

Alexis: No.

Elizabeth: No.

Alexis: Ooh.

Elizabeth: How far apart are your contract-- she's having a contraction right now.

Alexis: Oh!

Elizabeth: Yeah, okay. Wait, Dr. Meadows? Hello, Dr. Meadows? I can't hear you. Dr. Meadows? I lost the connection.

Alexis: What did she say?

Elizabeth: Well, she thinks you're probably not in labor. You just need to lay down and stay still.

Ric: What about the baby?

Elizabeth: She's sure the baby is fine, but we do need to get her to the hospital as soon as possible.

Ric: Okay.

Alexis: What about the contractions?

Elizabeth: She thinks the contractions are due to your stress and probably the pressure from the seat belt.

Emily: Okay, you're going to be all right, Alexis.

Ric: Listen to me, listen to me, I'm here, okay? Just hold on. All right.

Jax: You know, Elizabeth is doing a great job downstairs helping Alexis.

Lucky: Elizabeth knows what she's doing.

Nikolas: Heard from Courtney? She all right?

Jax: She's still in Manhattan. She's in meetings all day trying to stop some kid from falling through the cracks of social services.

Nikolas: Does an awful lot of good work for her foundation, doesn't she?

Jax: Yeah, she does.

Nikolas: I'm going to go check the other rooms on this floor, okay?

Jax: Okay. You know, you should be very proud of Elizabeth.

Lucky: Why's it so hard for you to believe that Elizabeth knows what she's doing?

Jax: She's good at her job, that's all I'm saying.

Lucky: Actually, Elizabeth -- she wanted to be a painter. Did you know that? If she had the money that you or Nikolas or Emily have, she'd be in Paris or New York or anyplace but here.

Jax: Well, perhaps you can use some of the money from the arrangement to help her get back into art.

Lucky: You know it's to pay my bills.

Jax: Courtney and I will always appreciate what Elizabeth is doing.

Lucky: You don't even know what it's like to need money, do you? You're too busy patting yourself on the back because your foundations are, you know, bailing out hospitals or spending millions of dollars on houses like this.

Jax: This isn't my house.

Lucky: No, but it could be. Because you can pretty much buy anything you want. You can buy companies, airplanes, even babies.

Jax: You know what, I don't appreciate --

Alexis: I know that this was my fault.

Ric: No, no, it wasn't. It was an accident.

Alexis: If I didn't scream at you, you wouldn't have jerked -- I'm trying to get comfortable.

Ric: No, I probably would've ran off the road away. People who drive in hurricanes have a tendency to end up in ditches.

Emily: Why were you on the road? Where were you going?

Alexis: A baby checkup.

Ric: Checkup.

Elizabeth: And let me guess -- neither one of you wanted to ask the other to postpone.

Alexis: Something like that.

Nikolas: What happened?

Lucky: I did what I should've done a long time ago and I hit the bastard.

Nikolas: Why?

Lucky: Because he's a jerk.

Nikolas: Lucky, if you want out of the surrogacy deal, there are other ways to go about it, you know.

Lucky: You know what, it was Elizabeth's idea. She's the one that suggested it to Jax.

Nikolas: She's trying to help you.

Lucky: So that makes it okay that she's having a baby for another guy?

Nikolas: All I'm saying is punching Jax isn't going to help anything.

Lucky: Well, at least I can be honest. I'm not acting like you and Emily, pretending everything is great. From what I can see, you guys can barely stand to stay in the same room together.

Alexis: Oh! Oh!

Ric: Okay, okay, Alexis. All right, all right. Easy, easy, easy.

Elizabeth: Just breathe.

Alexis: All right -- ow! The next time that I ask you to drive --

Ric: I'll refuse to drive.

Alexis: It's not your fault. I should've just rescheduled.

Ric: Okay, okay.

Alexis: Oh! Elizabeth, what's happening?

Elizabeth: Just breathe.

Alexis: Oh, God!

Ric: Alexis? What's wrong?

Alexis: Oh, my God, I think my water broke.

Ric: Relax, okay?

Emily: Elizabeth, try to reach Dr. Meadows.

Elizabeth: Jax is trying.

Jax: Dr. Meadows? It's Jasper Jacks. Alexis thinks -- hold on one second. Elizabeth?

Elizabeth: Hi, Dr. Meadows? Alexis' contractions are still continuing, but she thinks her water broke. Hey, how far apart are the contractions?

Emily: They're random.

Elizabeth: They're random.

Emily: Her water didn't break.

Alexis: Something's wrong.

Elizabeth: We don't think her water broke.

Alexis: Something's wrong.

Elizabeth: Hey, Dr. Meadows says it could just be your amniotic fluid.

Ric: Wait, what does that mean? What can we do?

Alexis: How soon can you get a medevac here?

Carly: I know what that's like, being scared in the middle of a storm.

Sonny: I'd take it back if I could, Carly.

Carly: That's not what I meant.

Sonny: Well, what did you mean? You know what, no, I don't -- it's my fault. I shouldn't have come tonight.

Carly: No, no, you shouldn't have brought your current buckle bunny.

Sonny: Okay, here we go. Go ahead, let me hear it.

Carly: You know that I didn't want her in my house.

Sonny: Oh.

Carly: Do you even care where Reese is?

Sonny: Of course I do.

Carly: Okay, why don't you go get her?

Sonny: I don't want to fight, I didn't want to fight, and here we are going -- you know, all the good it's going to do. But if you think that by coming at me it's going to help the situation, go ahead, come at me.

Carly: No, you know what, you're right.

Sonny: Do what you got to do.

Carly: No, no, you're right, as always. Fighting is counterproductive with you. So since I can't help myself, I'm just going to go find some other place to --

Nikolas: You were wonderful with Alexis back there.

Emily: Well, I wish I could do more to help. What happened with Lucky and Jax?

Nikolas: Lucky hit him.

Emily: Any particular reason?

Nikolas: What do you think?

Emily: Oh. Poor Lucky. He agreed to something he can't live with.

Nikolas: It's terrible when that happens, huh?

Elizabeth: Okay, thank you, Dr. Meadows. We'll keep in touch. Thank you, Jax. That phone was a lifesaver.

Jax: Glad I could help.

Elizabeth: Okay, Alexis, you need to get into a bed and lay on your left side with your hips and your legs elevated.

Alexis: Okay, I can walk.

Ric: No.

Emily: No, Alexis, it's better if you don't. If you're losing amniotic fluid, we need to keep you as level as possible.

Ric: How serious is this?

Emily: I don't want to scare you, but losing amniotic fluid can cause infection, and that could be very serious for both the baby and for Alexis.

Ric: Easy, easy. All right, okay. Okay.
