Emily: Hi, Sam.
Sam: Hey.
Emily: Hi. He's sleeping?
Sam: Yeah, he just drifted off. I know Jason would never admit it, but I think it really tired him out, going to that memorial today.
Emily: Oh, God, I should have never told him that I was worried about our mom. You know, I always do that. I dump everything on Jason. I mean, my God, he's been shot. You'd think that I could show a little bit of consideration.
Sam: No, no, no, you need to take it easy. Jason was really glad that you came to see him today, and I think it was good for him to go to that memorial service. You know, Jason never talked about A.J. I don't know what, if anything, he felt for him, but I do know that he loves you and your mother very much, and he went today to support you. So you need to stop beating yourself up.
Emily: Yeah.
Sam: You did a really good thing.
Emily: No, I'm just afraid that Jason’s pushing himself too hard.
Sam: Are you kidding me? A half-hour before you came here, he was trying to get out of bed to go help Sonny find Kristina.
Emily: No.
Sam: I think going to the memorial service was definitely the easier, less stressful way to go.
Emily: Yeah, I wish I could do that.
Sam: Do what?
Emily: You're scared for Jason, but you don't dwell on it. You don't stay stuck on what you can't change. You're resilient, and I admire that. That's what Jason needs. You love him a lot, don't you?
Sam: How many times can I say that your brother is everything to me? He has changed my life. When I look at him, I can't believe this has happened to me or how lucky I am or how badly I want this to last.
Emily: Well, make it last, Sam. Don't let anyone or anything damage what you and Jason have together.
Sam: Emily, are you okay?
Emily: Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. Just don't tell Jason that I was here. Don't -- don't tell him about this.
