Lucky: Okay, why don't you just sit back and try to relax.
Jax: We have to get her to the hospital.
Elizabeth: I need a doctor.
Elizabeth passes out
Lucky: Elizabeth?
Nikolas: I'm going to call 911.
Jax: No, the ambulance will take too long. My car and driver are downstairs.
Emily: It'll be faster.
Lucky carries Elizabeth out as Jax and Emily go with him
Courtney: Oh, what if she's having a miscarriage?
Nikolas: God, Courtney, don't say that.
Courtney: Elizabeth was just trying to fix our mess and it just keeps getting worse. I mean, now the baby's at risk, Nikolas.
Nikolas: I'm going to drive to the hospital. You want to come with me?
Courtney: Did you see how scared she looked? I know how that feels when all of a sudden you realize that something is terribly wrong.
Monica: Elizabeth, how do you feel?
Elizabeth: I'm dizzy and I'm still cramping.
Monica: Okay, well, Dr. Meadows is setting up the ultrasound. Now, in the meantime, you just try to relax. The best thing you can do for this baby right now is be calm. You can take her to 417.
Jax: I want to go with her.
Monica: No, you can see her after we've run tests.
Jax: I'm not just an innocent bystander.
Monica: I'm sorry, Jax.
Jax: I'm the baby's father.
Elizabeth: Please, I just want Lucky.
Lucky: Listen, I'm right here.
Monica: Let's go, please.
Emily: No, no, no, wait, Jax, look --
Jax: Come on, Elizabeth --
Emily: Elizabeth needs Lucky right now, okay? I know it's hard, I know you're worried, but the best thing you can do for the baby is wait here.
Nikolas and Courtney arrive at the hospital.
Nikolas: How's Elizabeth?
Emily: Dr. Meadows is doing an ultrasound, and they're supposed to let us know as soon as they have the results.
Nikolas: Good. Is Lucky with her?
Emily: Yeah. She needed him.
Nikolas: Good, then. Then they'll both get through this.
Jax: It's my child.
Nikolas: Yes, Jax, we're all aware of that by now, thank you.
Emily: Okay, I'm going to go find my mother and see if she's heard anything, okay?
Emily walks off
Jax: What a truly gracious woman Emily is.
Nikolas: Her and Elizabeth have been friends for a long time.
Jax: Are you really that blind?
Courtney: Jax, don't.
Jax: Emily didn't want you and Courtney to feel uncomfortable. That's why she left, okay? She wants things to be okay for her cheating husband and his new girlfriend.
Nikolas: Courtney's not my girlfriend, Jax.
Jax: Well, that must be a crushing disappointment.
Courtney: Jax, stop it. Look, I am scared for the baby, too.
Jax: Since when?
Nikolas: My god -- obviously you blame Courtney and me for this, but Elizabeth is in the hospital because you put her there.
Monica: Elizabeth's cramping has subsided, but Dr. Meadows feels the ultrasound is inconclusive, so you have got to keep her calm so she doesn't lose that baby, okay?
Lucky: I'll take care of Elizabeth.
Lucky enters Elizabeth's room. Emily is sitting with Elizabeth.
Elizabeth: Dr. Meadows wouldn't tell me anything.
Emily: I'm sure your baby's fine, Elizabeth. It's just your body's way of telling you to take it easy.
Elizabeth: Instead of single-handedly trying to fix everyone's marital problems?
Emily: I know you meant well.
Elizabeth: I'm really sorry I ambushed you. It wasn't fair.
Emily: Listen, some day I'll butt into your personal life and then we can call it even.
Emily stands up, so that Lucky can sit beside Elizabeth.
Elizabeth: Hey.
Lucky: How you feeling?
Elizabeth: Nervous.
Lucky: I want you to close your eyes and repeat after me. Go ahead, close your eyes. I'm calm, I'm relaxed, and everything is fine.
Elizabeth: I'm calm, I'm relaxed. I'm really glad you're here.
Nikolas: From the day Elizabeth got pregnant, you've been trying to run her life, Jax, while you virtually ignored Courtney.
Jax: I invested everything in this marriage. I wanted this baby for both of us.
Courtney: It didn't feel that way to me, Jax.
Jax: Oh, oh, I see, so it's my fault that you were so quick to jump into bed with Nikolas.
Courtney: Jax, stop it. I never slept with Nikolas, okay? I am still in love with you.
Jax: I loved you, too, and don't think this doesn't hurt me.
Emily walks up
Emily: There's a solution to this. Why don't you give up the child Elizabeth is carrying.
Jax: How is giving up my child going to solve anything?
Emily: Jax, the surrogacy has complicated everything, okay? Courtney feels inadequate. Lucky thinks you're controlling and fixated on Elizabeth. I think if we just take a step back --
Jax: Oh, you think -- and what about -- what about your marriage to Nikolas? Will giving up my son or daughter save that?
Courtney: Jax, that's not fair.
Jax: To Emily or Nikolas? I mean, whose side are you taking here? Because -- oh, I mean, do I really have to ask?
Courtney: Okay, you know what? How about instead of trading accusations, why don't we all try and make peace? Hopefully, Elizabeth and the baby will be all right.
Jax: Then we can all go back to the way we were? I was living in a fool's paradise and I don't care to revisit.
Jax and Courtney leave
Nikolas: What the hell happened to us?
Emily: I don't know. Elizabeth and Lucky don't deserve to suffer for our mistakes.
Nikolas: Well, neither do Courtney and Jax.
Emily: Maybe you and I don't deserve to suffer either.
Emily: Have you gotten the test results back?
Elizabeth: No, nothing so far, but I'm feeling steadier.
Emily: Good.
Lucky: How are things out there?
Emily: Oh, about the same.
Elizabeth: Jax was right. I was naive to think I could get us all together in a room and make peace.
Nikolas enters Elizabeth's room
Nikolas: Well, you were just trying to help. Right idea, wrong time.
Elizabeth: It's just so frustrating watching everyone pulling apart from the people they love.
Nikolas: But I'm not here to upset you. I just want you to know that I'm pulling for you as always.
Elizabeth: Four musketeers -- on each other's side no matter what.
Nikolas: No matter what.
Nikolas leaves
Elizabeth: Emily, go after him.
Emily follows Nikolas out
Emily: Nikolas? Standing there, listening to you, I realized that I can't stop loving you.
Dr. Meadows walks up
Emily:Dr. Meadows, do you have Elizabeth's test results?
Dr. Meadows: Yes. I need to go over them with her.
Emily: Okay.
They enter Elizabeth's room
Dr. Meadows: Elizabeth.
Elizabeth: How's the baby?
Dr. Meadows: Doing well.
Elizabeth: Oh, thank god.
Dr. Meadows: And it looks like you were suffering from simple dehydration, so we'll rehydrate you through your I.V. And you should be fine.
Nikolas walks on to the pier and sees Emily
Nikolas: Sorry. I'm not following you. I was just on my way home. I know better than to ask you to come with me, but you did say you still love me and I'd like to think that means we still have a chance.
Emily: I don't know what anything means anymore.
Nikolas: I just wish you would believe me when I tell you that I didn't sleep with Courtney, Emily.
Emily: I do believe you, Nikolas. I can see the truth in your eyes.
Nikolas: Then we do have a chance. Look, no matter what happens in between, we still love each other. I'll be waiting for you at home when you're ready to come back to our marriage.
