Emily: Why'd you tell my mother about Nikolas and Courtney?

Elizabeth: I knew I should have stayed out of this. Emily, your mother pushed me.

Emily: My mom thinks that Nikolas and Courtney are having this wild affair.

Elizabeth: I only told her what I saw.

Emily: Okay, which was what, exactly?

Elizabeth: I saw Nikolas and Courtney on the Elm Street Pier, and they were --

Emily: Kissing?

Elizabeth: I'm really sorry.

Emily: Okay -- have you said anything to Jax?

Elizabeth: No. No.

Emily: Okay, well, then why did you tell my mother?

Elizabeth: I was being honest with her, just like I'm being honest with you.

Courtney: Oh. Great. Ew. Yuck.

Nikolas: Excuse me.

Courtney: Excuse me.

Monica: Oh, the robbery victim that you brought in stabilized, so when he wakes up, you can ask any questions you want.

Lucky: Thanks.

Monica: You're free to hang around here if you want.

Lucky: Know what, that'd be great, thank you.

Monica: Oh, Lucky -- how is your brother these days?

Lucky: Nikolas is fine.

Monica: Yeah?

Lucky: Yeah.

Monica: Well, I -- I just wondered if you are as worried about him and Emily as I am.

Lucky: You know, all marriages have rough spots sometimes.

Monica: Oh, yeah, I know that, but it's got to be kind of frustrating for Nikolas. I mean, Emily is having a really hard time getting past what happened.

Lucky: Yeah, but Nikolas has been good for her.

Monica: Yeah, but can he go the distance? You know, people do grow apart. Even the good ones.

Lucky: You know what? Honestly, I've been working so many doubles lately, I barely know what I'm doing myself, much less anybody else, so --

Monica: Yeah, well, I know about that.

Lucky: You know what, I should go check on that victim.

Monica: Okay.

Lucky: Thanks.

Courtney: Why did you switch your room to the one across from me?

Nikolas: I didn't, I didn't. I was --

Courtney: What? But you were in the bungalow down by the water.

Nikolas: I know, I was, but it was infested with lizards, so -- yeah, it was, and so they moved me up to this one. [Courtney groans]

Nikolas: Look, I swear I didn't have any idea that you were in the room across from me.

Courtney: This is so weird. It's weird, right?

Nikolas: I know.

Courtney: I mean, first, the airplane, now the hotel, and now this? I mean, Nikolas, nobody's going to believe it. It's way too much of a coincidence.

Nikolas: Oh, I don't think it's a coincidence anymore. I think it's a plot or something by mind-altering space aliens, and they're trying to get us to eat fruit and granola.

Courtney: Oh, you got my -- you got my breakfast.

Nikolas: That's your breakfast?

Courtney: Yes.

Nikolas: Okay. Well, I'll tell you what, we'll switch carts, and then after breakfast I'll ask the concierge to switch me to another hotel. How's that?

Courtney: Well, that's probably a good idea.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Courtney: Okay, I'll get your --

Nikolas: All right.

Courtney: Oh! Oh, my God, I'm so sorry!

Nikolas: Work out much, do you?

Courtney: Shut up.

Nikolas: God.

Courtney: Oh, my God.

Nikolas: It's all that granola and fruit you eat. What did you --

Jax: Emily. Always nice to see you. What brings you here?

Emily: Something Elizabeth saw.

Elizabeth: She left some notes at the hospital and she just dropped by to pick them up.

Jax: Well, it's great to see you, in any case. Have you heard from Courtney in the Bahamas?

Elizabeth: No, no, not yet. Em, do you want me to walk you to your car?

Jax: You're welcome to stay.

Elizabeth: That's okay, she's in a hurry. Right, Em? Come on.

Emily: Elizabeth, Jax has a right to know.

Elizabeth: I've already said enough.

Emily: You saw my husband kissing his wife.

Elizabeth: If I was certain that Courtney and Nikolas were having some wild affair, I would have told you first and then Jax, but I just don't know.

Emily: Okay. Then I'm going to find out.

Emily: Yeah, one kiss doesn't really mean anything, mom. Everybody's just talking.

Monica: Yes, Em, Elizabeth saw what she saw, and I definitely saw Courtney and Nikolas in a rather personal conversation. Now, Lucky --

Emily: No, what did you say to him?

Monica: Well, nothing, really. I just -- I know he knows something.

Emily: Okay, look, Mom, I really wish that you would stay out of this.

Monica: Okay, that's fair. I will, and I just want you to know that I'm here if you need me. Okay?

Emily: Okay.

Monica: And I love you.

Emily: I love you, too. Are Courtney and Nikolas having an affair?

Lucky: So what's really on your mind?

Emily: Lucky, I'm serious.

Lucky: I don't know.

Emily: Okay, but you think something's going on, don't you?

Lucky: Listen, you need to talk to Nikolas.

Emily: He had to go to New York on business. Or maybe not. Okay, did Nikolas tell you where he was going? Lucky, I'm his wife. I deserve the truth.

Lucky: He went to the Bahamas.

Emily: So did Courtney.

Nikolas: Do you know if this bacon was on the floor?

Courtney: I don't think so. Oh, but I think that's the piece that I sneezed on. Sorry. That's so gross. Ew.

Nikolas: You know what? I can't remember the last time I was able to laugh like this.

Courtney: Yeah, me neither. So you're going to finish your bacon?

Nikolas: No, no, but thank you for asking.

Courtney: Well, you are absolutely the most polite man I have ever met, Nikolas.

Nikolas: Old habit, I guess. But honestly, I think -- I don't know, I just feel relaxed with you, even on the plane.

Courtney: Oh, yeah, I'm sure it had nothing to do with all the martinis you drank.

Nikolas: No, it was because of you. I don't know, I just -- I think all of this was supposed to happen, was meant to be, maybe.

Courtney: What do you mean, "meant to be"?

Nikolas: I don't know. What if -- what if we were just meant to be friends?

Courtney: Yeah, friends who make each other laugh.

Nikolas: Yeah, who can talk about anything, right?

Courtney: Yeah. Friends who make each other --

Nikolas: What?

Courtney: I'm going to go before I miss my massage.

Nikolas: All right, I understand.

Courtney: Friends, yeah. Sounds good. I like it.

Nikolas: All right. Then it's settled. We're friends. See ya.

Courtney: Okay.

Lucky: I can't believe you saw Nikolas and Courtney kissing and you didn't tell me.

Elizabeth: When was I supposed to say something? Anyway, it's probably just a huge misunderstanding.

Lucky: Well, it's about to get worse because Emily is on her way to the Bahamas.

Elizabeth: What? How did that happen?

Lucky: Well, she asked me to tell her where her husband was and I had to tell her the truth.

Elizabeth: Oh, my God.

Lucky: Nikolas -- he said he had feelings for Courtney.

Elizabeth: Okay, but that doesn't mean they're having an affair.

Man: Mrs. Webber? I'm sorry to bother you. Mr. Jacks sent me to pick up both of you.

Lucky: Jax is sending you a limo?

Elizabeth: First I've heard of it. Is there a problem?

Man: Mr. Jacks said it was extremely urgent.

As Courtney finishes her massage, she is interrupted by a phone call from Jax. They speak and Courtney wraps herself in a bathrobe. As she finishes, she walks toward the doorway and is stopped by Nikolas standing in the doorway while she's on the phone.

Courtney: Oh. This is ridiculous.

Nikolas: I know.

Courtney: I mean, we end up at the pool at the same time.

Nikolas: Chased out by the storm at the same time.

Courtney: You know, Jax will be here as soon as his deal closes.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Courtney: Okay.

Nikolas: I got it, I got it. What? What?

Courtney: I can't believe I didn't tell Jax that you're here. Oh, God, this is --

Nikolas: Well, Courtney, it's not like we -- it's not like we planned this, you know? I mean, there's nothing going on, so there's no reason to put the suspicion in his head.

Courtney: Yeah, but, you know, I'm not going to leave anything else up to chance. I just -- I'm just going to make plans, okay, so that we don't run into each other at the restaurant and -- I don't know, I'll just stay here, order room service or something.

Nikolas: Okay. All right, I'll eat dinner in the dining room and check out in the morning, see you back in port charles.

Courtney: That sounds fine.

Nikolas: Okay, then.

Courtney: Great.

Nikolas: Great.

Courtney: Okay.

Nikolas: All right.

Nikolas: Good luck with Jax.

Courtney: Thanks. Same for you and Emily. I'm sure you guys will work things out.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Courtney: Okay. Bye. [Courtney screams]

Nikolas: Courtney? Court--

Courtney: Oh, my God!

Nikolas: Courtney!

Nikolas: What, what, what?

Courtney: Snake!

Nikolas: Snake?

Courtney: Why are you laughing? What --

Nikolas: I'm sorry.

Courtney: It's not funny.

Nikolas: Could you -- we need some help with this, please?

Courtney: Oh, my gosh. Okay, no, seriously, I hate -- I hate snakes. I hate snakes.

Nikolas: Really?

Courtney: Yes! Don't get so close! What, are you crazy?

Nikolas: Think it's poisonous?

Courtney: Don't touch it.

Nikolas: That guy on TV does it all the time. Nothing ever happens to him.

Courtney: So he's out of his mind. No, stop it! Don't! Seriously, seriously, I mean, look at him. I mean, what if you hurt him? He's all -- he's all mixed up. I don't know, what if he's a girl and he's laying eggs -- or she's laying eggs?

Nikolas: What?

Courtney: Or what if he's a scout and he's got millions of other snakes?

Nikolas: Courtney, Courtney, you're scaring yourself even more now.

Courtney: Do something!

Nikolas: What --

Courtney: Just do something.

Nikolas: I would, but I got to go get dressed for dinner, so just work it out.

Courtney: Oh, my god, no! Wait, please, please, please, please?

Nikolas: Okay, all right. Plan B, all right? I'll tell you what.

Courtney: Okay, what?

Nikolas: Jump into my arms and I'll -- you know, we'll leave the snake-handling to the snake-handlers. It's not going to do anything. Relax.

Courtney: Okay.

Nikolas: Ready? One, two, three.

Courtney: Ah! Oh! You drop me, I'll kill you.

Nikolas: I'm not going to drop you. [Nikolas hisses]

Courtney: Oh, my God!

Emily has now arrived at hotel in the Bahamas. We see her come from the end of the hallway and approach Nikolas' room cautiously. She sees his keycard in the door. She pulls it out slowly and looks at it, looking around the hallway. She inserts it into the door and pushes the door open. Emily goes into the room and starts to look around.

[Thunder]

Courtney: Do you see anything?

Nikolas: No.

Courtney: Are you sure? Look.

Nikolas: Yes, I'm sure. There will be no snakes in your bed tonight.

Courtney: Yeah, that's funny. That's pretty -- [Knock on door]

Courtney: Oh, it can't be Jax. It's too soon.

Nikolas: He wouldn't knock, right?

Courtney: Oh. Hi. You're early.

Nikolas: Okay -- I'm going to go change for dinner. See ya.

Courtney: Wait. I think that we're being way too paranoid. You know, I mean, who cares if Jax shows up. It's not like we have anything to hide. Why don't you just stay and have dinner with me?

Nikolas: Okay. We're twins.

Jax: Why shouldn't I go to the Bahamas?

Lucky: You don't want Jax to be with his wife?

Jax: I hope you take the apartment in the spirit it was given. I know you guys were happy here. I restored it for both of you. After all, you wouldn't want Elizabeth living here on her own. She almost burnt the place down last time. she needs you, Lucky.

Lucky: That's for Elizabeth and me to decide. Enjoy the Bahamas.

Jax: I intend to.

Elizabeth: Lucky, what if he finds Courtney with Nikolas?

Lucky: If this was innocent and it was just a coincidence that Nikolas and Courtney were in the Bahamas at the same time, then Jax will be his wife, Courtney, and he won't even know Nikolas was there.

Elizabeth: And if it's not innocent? I'm carrying Jax and Courtney's child.

Lucky: I know.

Elizabeth: What if their marriage breaks up?

Lucky: I know. If Nikolas is thinking about taking the next step with Courtney, I hope someone gets there in time to stop it.

Courtney: What -- what are you doing?

Nikolas: This used to drive my uncle crazy.

Courtney: Well, it looks like a prison. Oh. Sorry.

Nikolas: No, that's okay. I've been building these little forts out of vegetables since I can remember. I have. My uncle, he wouldn't buy me those plastic building sets.

Courtney: Why not?

Nikolas: Too common, I guess. You know, I was supposed to own the company and the buildings and the land. I wasn't -- I wasn't supposed to actually create something with my own hands, you know?

Courtney: So you would always just build those forts?

Nikolas: Yep. But only out of vegetables.

Courtney: Why, because you -- you felt locked out as a child?

Nikolas: Because they're the only thing I knew how to build. I'm going to take -- I'll take the cart out in the hallway.

Courtney: Okay.

Nikolas: Okay.

Courtney: Know what, Nikolas? I mean, if you want, we could have a glass of brandy before -- before you go to sleep.

Nikolas: Yeah, okay. Sure.

Emily: Yes, could you tell me which room Courtney Jacks is in? Right. Hotel policy. I understand. Right, no, it's a security measure. I don't blame you. No, no, I don't want you to connect me. Okay, thank you.

Nikolas: Mmm.

Courtney: You know, I was complaining about us being thrown together because it's been so nice.

Nikolas: Yeah, it has.

Courtney: I wish it wasn't so nice.

Nikolas: I know. God.

Nikolas: I'm going to go home now, okay?

Courtney: Okay.

Nikolas: Okay.

Nikolas: See ya.

Courtney: Okay.
