October 11, 2004 Screencaps

Helena: Well, Nikolas, you're acting very strangely. Has something happened to Emily? I warned you that if you continued --

Nikolas: No, no, no, see, I warned you. You'll leave here in a body bag if you don't tell me how to save her.

Helena: I've told you repeatedly, the way to save Emily is to let her go.

Nikolas: Well, see, now, we're going to have a little bit of a problem because that's not going to happen.

Helena: Nikolas, you don't want to hurt me.

Nikolas: Tell me. How do I stop what you're doing to her? Tell me right now. I'm not messing --

Pounding on door.

Alexis: Nikolas, what is going on in there?

Helena: You're the one who is killing Emily now. If you love her the way you say you do, you leave her.

Alexis: Nikolas?

Nikolas: You're not --

Helena: Nikolas, it's the only thing that will save her.

Nikolas: Telling me what I want to hear.

Pounding.

Nikolas: Tell me how to save her or I値l make sure you never speak again. Come on.

Elizabeth: Emily? Hey, Em, Em, Em, wake up, honey, wake up.

Emily: Ah!

Elizabeth: Oh, my God. What's happening?

Nikolas: Last chance.

Helena: Aphrodite. Her garden.

Nikolas: What does it mean?

Emily: I fell asleep, and all of a sudden, it felt like someone was choking me.

Elizabeth: Like in a dream or for real?

Emily: Both, I guess. I mean, it was happening in my sleep, but it was so visceral. I mean, I couldn't breath, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: I know. I walked in and you were gasping for air and choking, and you really scared me.

Emily: Okay, let's just get this out in the open. Do you think I知 nuts?

Elizabeth: I might if anyone else in the world had placed that curse. But you know that Helena put a curse on Luke and Laura, and you know how that turned out.

Emily sighs.

Elizabeth: I'm sorry, that was -- that was insensitive.

Emily: No, no, I really don't want to believe that Helena can exert that kind of power. I mean, there has to be a logical explanation, right, like with anything else -- except that I've been sick.

Elizabeth: Okay, well, maybe you're just still recovering from that spider bite.

Emily: Well, according to the doctors, what I知 feeling isn't physical. I mean, they've run every conceivable test and there's no medical explanation for what's happening, but I keep getting worse. Where's the logic in that?

Elizabeth: So maybe it's just mind over matter.

Emily: That's what your brother thinks.

Elizabeth: Well, you should listen to Steven because he really knows what he's talking about.

Emily: I'm afraid, Elizabeth. I mean, Nikolas is more furious than I致e ever seen him.

Elizabeth: Oh, come on, that's understandable.

Emily: He went after Helena, and I'm afraid of what might happen. Maybe going up against this woman is a bad idea.

Elizabeth: So what are you saying, Em?

Emily: Maybe we should just give this witch what she wants and forget about getting married.

Elizabeth: No. No, Em, you can't give up. You have got to fight Helena with everything you've got.

Ric: Nikolas, get your hand off.

Alexis: Nikolas, let her go. She's not worth it.

Ric: Look, you're not giving me any choice but to have to arrest you.

Helena: I -- I believe that -- that would be my choice. This is a family matter. I have no intention of pressing charges against my -- my beautiful grandson. I would like a moment alone with Nikolas.

Alexis: That is a very, very bad idea.

Nikolas: You can leave us.

Alexis: Are you sure?

Nikolas: I'm not going to kill her, if that's what you're worried about.

Ric: All right, come on.

Nikolas: I only want to hear one thing from you.

Helena: I'm telling you what you need to know. Whatever you think you've learned about breaking the curse, I assure you that that's only wishful thinking. If you pursue this, there will be only one outcome. Your precious Emily will die.

Lorenzo: Why am I here, Lansing? One of Corinthos' warehouses blows up; you automatically assume I知 responsible?

Ric: Well, actually, I haven't checked into that yet. No, actually, you're here on -- oh -- drug trafficking.

Nikolas: I have your book.

Helena: "Maledictum"?

Nikolas: That's right, the book of curses.

Helena: Won't help you.

Nikolas: Well, no, not since you tore out the pages that would've told me how to undo whatever it is you did to Emily. But it's in your head, I know it, and I want it. You said two words -- "Aphrodite" and "Garden." What do they mean?

Helena: Are you being deliberately obtuse? I'm trying to warn you. Even if you could break the curse, remember what happened to Alexis' mother.

Nikolas: Are you threatening to kill Emily?

Helena: I'm merely pointing out that we learn from history or we're doomed to repeat it.

Nikolas: Hi.

Emily: Oh, hey. Thank God. I thought I was going to get a call to bail you out of jail.

Nikolas: Helena didn't press charges.

Emily: I'm afraid to ask.

Nikolas: What?

Emily: What did you do to her?

Nikolas: All that matters is it worked.

Emily: So she told you how to reverse the curse?

Nikolas: No, not exactly. But she gave me two words -- sit down -- "Aphrodite" and "Garden."

Emily: Meaning?

Nikolas: I don't know yet. You didn't happen to come across any reference to Aphrodite in this book, did you?

Emily: I only took one semester of Latin. It's all Greek to me.

Nikolas: All right, let me see what I can find.

Nikolas mumbles.

Nikolas: Okay, this -- this talks about some kind of ritual.

Emily: Mm-hmm.

Nikolas: See, a circle, the sun, stars. Well, okay, something about swimming naked in a river. We'll have to put that one on our list. Come on. Hey, come on. We'll get through this, okay, I promise.

Emily: I know, I know. Keep reading.

Nikolas: Okay. Here it is. Here it is, the Garden of Aphrodite. Seems to be connected to some -- yeah, some island in Greece called Kronosa.

Emily: Does it say Kronosa is tied to undoing the curse?

Nikolas: Um -- no, no, it's not that specific, but I know one way to find out.

Alexis: I got here as soon as I could. What's going on now?

Emily: No need to panic. We're fine.

Nikolas: Yeah, we just need some information from you. So you said that Mikkos took your mother away to break the curse, is that right?

Alexis: Right.

Nikolas: Do you remember where?

Alexis: Not off the top of my head, no.

Nikolas: Well, if I said it, would you recognize it?

Alexis: Possibly.

Nikolas: Well, tell me if either of these two ring a bell -- the Garden of Aphrodite or the island of Kronosa. Either of those?

Alexis: The island of Kronosa sounds familiar.

Nikolas: Okay, then that's where I'll start.

Alexis: You are not going to Greece.

Nikolas: Yes, I am, right away.

Alexis: Absolutely not, Nikolas.

Nikolas: I have to. It's the only way that I can help her.

Alexis: Lifting the curse turned out to be worse than living under it. Helena murdered my mother, remember?

Emily: I'm not afraid. Elizabeth's take on this is right, the only way to overcome Helena痴 curse is to fight it, so we're both going.

Nikolas: All right, I've spoken to Mrs. Lansbury. She'll stay here while I知 gone. Lucky and Elizabeth are just a phone call way, so --

Emily: That won't be necessary. Didn't you hear me? I'm going with you.

Nikolas: You can't come with me.

Emily: Listen, Mikkos and Kristen went to Kronosa together. What if you need me to break the curse?

Nikolas: I don't know what I知 walking into, what would go wrong, how dangerous it could be.

Emily: We'll find out together, Nikolas. I don't know anything about this curse or how it works, but I know that we're stronger together.
