Noise.

Emily: Nikolas?

Nikolas: All right, give me a minute. I'll be right there. You know, we didn't even get married today, but it still feels like our wedding day. I'm sorry -- make that wedding night.

Nikolas: Maybe we should make this a ritual. Every time we see our families, we spend the next four hours in the tub. All right, champagne is ready. I hope that you are, too.

Nikolas: Okay.

Glass breaks.

Nikolas: Breathe, breathe, breathe, breathe, breathe.

Nikolas: Okay.

Nikolas: I need an ambulance out at Wyndemere right -- hurry! It's okay.

Steven, Jason and Elizabeth are arguing at the hospital when...

Jason: Why are you so interested in carly? What happened?

Nikolas: I don't know. I found her in the bathtub under the water. She wasn't breathing.

Steven: Take her to cubicle one.

Edward: You couldn't find a justice of the peace who would stay dead?

Tracy: Don't say that to her.

Edward: Of all the bush-league, small-time performances I've ever seen -- when he fell down, I thought I'd die laughing.

Tracy: So why didn't you help us find somebody better?

Edward: Why do you expect me to do everything?

Helena: I have listened to your senseless bickering as long as I'm going to.

Tracy: What would you rather hear, "double, double, toil and trouble"? Do you see us as the three witches?

Edward: Speak for yourself.

Helena: You know, that Scottish play is one of my favorite pieces of literature.

Edward: Why doesn't that surprise me?

Helena: You will treat Shakespeare's masterpiece and me with respect.

Tracy: You've gotten a little cranky since you placed that curse.

Helena: Oh, Lady Macbeth was always so terribly misunderstood.

Phone rings.

Helena: Yes?

Nikolas: Emily's in the emergency room. You get to General Hospital right now, or I'll have the police drag you in.

Jason: How long was Emily underwater?

Nikolas: Less than two minutes, Jason. I was in the next room.

Jason: Nikolas, what happened? Did she fall?

Nikolas: I didn't hear anything, and I tried to help her breathe. It didn't work.

Edward: What the hell have you done to my granddaughter?

Nikolas: Why don't you ask her? What did you do to her?

Helena: I don't know what you're talking about.

Nikolas: How is she?

Steven: Emily's in shock. Her blood pressure is dangerously low.

Tracy: What do you think happened to her?

Elizabeth: Did she faint?

Steven: Possibly.

Nikolas: Was she attacked?

Steven: No, I don't think so.

Jason: Is there any water in her lungs?

Steven: I don't think she aspirated any water. Her chest x-ray is clear.

Nikolas: Well, then, what happened?

Steven: We're going to know a whole lot more after we run the tox screen.

Jason: You think she was poisoned?

Steven: We can't rule it out.

Nikolas: What kind of poison? What was it?

Helena: Oh, honestly, Nikolas --

Nikolas: Tell me or I'll kill you right here, right now.

Jason: This won't help Emily.

Nikolas: She poisoned her. I know she did.

Elizabeth: Nikolas, you don't know that.

Helena: Nikolas, I did not, I swear.

Nikolas: If Emily dies, I will kill you.

Edward: Don't say "if." There is no "if." Emily will not die.

Jason: What'd you do to my sister?

Helena: Would you please tell your brain-damaged nephew I had nothing to do with this.

Tracy: Helena left Spoon Island with me. We've been together all evening.

Jason: Yeah? Why'd you come here separately?

Edward: We're not going to tell you how we spend every second.

Nikolas: Was Helena alone at any time?

Edward: She was with us when you called about Emily.

Jason: What were you guys doing together?

Edward: Trying to stop the wedding, if you really want to know. Because Emily's too good for him! He's brought her nothing but misery.

Jason: Edward, is there any way that Helena could have gotten to Emily? Could she have poisoned her?

Edward: I don't know.

Helena: Oh, now, there is a ringing, ringing endorsement of my innocence.

Nikolas: It had to be you. No one else would try and kill Emily.

Elizabeth: Emily's a fighter. She's going to get through this.

Nikolas: She better.

Nikolas walks into the cubicle and stands beside Emily's bed; she's unconscious.

Nikolas: Don't leave me. Please. Please, God, don't let her die.

Elizabeth: Make Helena tell what kind of poison she used. I don't care what you have to do. Just make her talk.

Helena: You need to teach your grandson some manners.

Edward: If you have anything to do with this, I'm --

Helena: I don't appreciate being stared at.

Edward: And he's going to do more than stare if he finds any proof that you poisoned Emily.

Helena: The curse is working. That's all I can say.

Edward: Oh, my God.

Tracy: I don't think Jason understands the concept of the curse.

Edward: I never wanted Emily to be involved with these maniacs. How could you join forces with this woman?

Tracy: You did the same thing.

Edward: To protect the family!

Tracy: That's always your excuse.

Edward: And yours is always greed.

Tracy: Do you think I joined forces with her by choice?

Edward: What'd you find out?

Elizabeth: Nikolas, Steven's back with the test results.

Steven: Okay, so, the tox screen came back negative, but the blood tests indicate an acute reaction with something in Emily's system. We need to run more tests.

Edward: How did he ever make it through medical school?

Tracy: Well, we should ask for a second opinion.

Jason: All right, wait five minutes, apologize to Helena, and tell her to meet you in the cafeteria.

Nikolas: She's my grandmother, Jason. I can handle her.

Elizabeth: Nikolas, there's no time. If Helena knows anything, jason can get it out of her, okay?

Steven: Found something. I found something -- a localized, indurated area near Emily's neck. It's actually the type of wound that could have been caused by a poisonous spider.

Steven: The antidote is working.

Edward: Thank God.

Steven: And Emily's breathing is less labored, and her blood pressure is stabilizing. She should be waking up any minute now.

Elizabeth: Oh, I knew she'd get through this.

Jason: You saved Morgan and Emily. Thank you.

Steven: I was just doing my job.

Edward: You ever pull another stunt like this, you'll wind up in a bed full of tarantulas.

Helena: Well, I had nothing to do with this. No, the curse has a life of its own.

Edward: The curse is nonsense, and you know it, and if you ever do anything like this, something like this again, I will --

Helena: You have had a difficult evening, as we all have. But for future reference, it's never wise to threaten a Cassadine.

Tracy: I don't think she's going to make it to the parking lot.

Edward: One can only hope. How did you get involved with that monster?

Tracy: You volunteered to join us.

Edward: I tried to stop a wedding, not kill the bride.

Tracy: Maybe we need to rethink our strategy.

Edward: One thing is for sure. We can never allow Emily to marry Nikolas, ever. The Cassadines will be the death of her, literally.

Nikolas: Hey. Welcome back.

Emily: Nikolas --

Nikolas: It's okay. You're in the hospital. You're okay.

Emily: What happened?

Nikolas: You remember anything?

Emily: I was in the tub, and you were in the next room with champagne, and --

Nikolas: You were -- you were bit by a spider. It almost killed you.

Emily: What? That's crazy.

Nikolas: I know. I'm telling you -- I'm telling you, it's this curse. It's real and it's getting stronger. We have to find a way to break it.
