'Connor' is the true character of Nikolas Cassadine however, he has amnesia and believes that he is Connor Bishop.
Mary: You can't work for this man. He's an arms dealer.
'Connor': Is that true?
Alcazar: I think your wife has been discussing me with Emily Quartermaine.
Mary: It's common knowledge.
'Connor': Look, I've already made it clear that I won't do anything illegal.
Alcazar: You need to understand the player's motives. Emily's brother, Jason Morgan, works for my opposition. He took exception to my falling in love with a married woman who happens to be the wife of his best friend and employer. Now, I didn't plan on falling in love with this woman; it just happened. Sometimes things work out that way. Now, my actions may have been selfish and ill-advised, but they certainly were not illegal. My offer to you is exactly as I presented it. There is a position open within my organization for a courier. I think you are the man for the job. You want to discuss it with your wife; you can call me as soon as you reach your decision.
Mary: Thank God I found the truth out about him before you accepted the job offer.
'Connor': What makes you think I’m not taking the job?
Mary: You can't be serious about working for Mr. Alcazar. He's dangerous and a criminal.
'Connor': And he denies that.
Mary: Of course he would.
'Connor': Would you just look at it logically for a second, please? Okay, if he wanted me to break the law, he'd have to tell me upfront. He wouldn't allow my ignorance to jeopardize a deal.
Mary: So let me get this straight -- arms dealing is okay as long as you're notified in advance?
'Connor': You know, I don't know, but for some reason -- for some reason, you want to believe that Alcazar's a criminal. You've already made it up in your own mind that you don't like him, so you're using any excuse that you can to discourage me from working for him, and I don't --
Mary: I'm just trying to keep you safe.
'Connor': No, what you're trying to do is keep me isolated in this cabin and dependent on you.
Mary: Connor --
'Connor': I can't -- I can't live like this anymore, Mary. I'm literally -- I'm suffocating. I want to be out with the rest of the world, using my mind, connecting with other people. This life? This life I'm living right now? It doesn't fit with whoever the hell I am. It's too small! I'm sorry, Mary, but I was put on this earth to be more than just your husband.
Mary: I'm so sorry I’m -- I'm back late from my break. Thanks for covering.
Emily: Yeah, no problem. Is everything okay?
Mary: Yeah, that thing you told me about Mr. Alcazar -- it really threw me.
Emily: Mm-hmm.
Mary: Criminals shouldn't seem so nice and normal.
Emily: Some people are experts at hiding who they really are.
Phone rings.
Emily: Excuse me.
Mary: I know why you're here.
Alcazar: Really?
Mary: You want to tell Emily the truth about Nikolas.
Alcazar: Well, that would be the fair and honest thing to do. Don't you agree?
Alcazar: I'm sure you can appreciate the awkward position I’m in. You've accused me of being a criminal, of using Nikolas for my own sinister purposes. Well, the simplest way to prove you wrong would be to tell the truth, explain to Emily that her fiancé is alive, suffering from a head injury that erased his memory, and that he's living with you under the mistaken impression that he's your husband.
Mary: Why don't you just leave us alone? Nikolas doesn't miss his old life. He's happy with me.
Alcazar: Oh, I doubt that. Nikolas is not your lost husband. He's an aristocrat, which is so far removed from a rank-and-file soldier, he may as well be from another planet. You need to understand Nikolas Cassadine will never, ever be happy in Connor Bishop's life.
Emily: You can save the gentleman act, Alcazar. I already told Mary the truth.
Alcazar: The truth? Are you sure you know it?
Emily: Well, I know you're a dangerous criminal.
Alcazar: I thought you were a more fair-minded person than that; not one to judge someone without even having a five-minute conversation with them.
Emily: Okay. What are you suggesting?
Alcazar: Well, considering I'm about to make a sizable investment in L&B, maybe it would be good for you to form your own opinion of me irregardless of what Jason thinks. I would welcome the opportunity to speak on my own behalf.
Emily: I'm in the middle of my shift.
Alcazar: So meet me when you get off. I think what I have to say will be of interest to you.
Nikolas' voice: "I've gone for a walk. Please don't worry. I need a little time."
Alcazar: Wasn't sure you'd come.
Emily: Right. Well, you made your point. You're now a major factor in Ned and Dillon’s company; you and I are bound to cross paths, so I can see why you think that we should be on civil terms. But you caused Courtney to miscarry Jason’s baby, my niece or nephew, so I’m not inclined to want to be your friend.
Alcazar: Well, I appreciate your candor and your honesty.
Emily: All right, what is it that you wanted to say?
Alcazar: Whatever happens between Jason, Sonny, and I in our mutual pursuit of power and profit is just that -- between us. It doesn't mean I bear any personal animosity towards you or anyone else in your family. In fact, it occurred to me I may be in a position to help you.
Emily: Okay. How is that?
Alcazar: I know you recently lost your fiancé, and I may be in a position --
Emily: Oh, wait. No, no, I am not going to stand here while you use Nikolas' death to your advantage, all right? Unless you can wave some magic wand and bring Nikolas back, there is absolutely no way that you can help me.
