'Connor' is the true character of Nikolas Cassadine however, he has amnesia and believes that he is Connor Bishop.

Jason: Well, I'm happy that Elizabeth and her baby are ok, but I'm still worried about you. I know that you're hurting over Nikolas, and I just think you're running yourself with agony.

Emily: You know, I thought that I was handling Nikolas' death pretty well, but now it's like -- it's like he's haunting me. I -- I see him, Jason.

Jason: When you sleep?

Emily: No, no, it's more than dreams. I mean, the other night on the docks in the fog, I know it was probably just some dockworker, but for a moment, I thought that I actually saw him.

Jason: Well, did you talk to the guy?

Emily: No, he just disappeared, you know, and then last night, after you left the church, I dozed off and I dreamed about Nikolas and we were getting married. And then driving home, I thought I saw him along the side of the road in the rain and I lost control of my car.

Jason: See, you're doing too much, Emily, with school and all the volunteering.

Emily: Maybe I'm just crazy.

Jason: No, you're grieving, and that takes a lot out of you. Maybe you need to rest.

Emily: I don't know, just time to think isn't the answer. You know, I just -- I've got to keep busy.

Jason: Well, you just be careful. So how much do you know about Mary?

Emily: Is this about finding Alcazar's card at her house?

Jason: Yeah. I don't know, why would she know him?

Emily: Well, you know, I told you I invited Mary to Tracy’s engagement party. Alcazar was there. He probably gave her the card then. I mean, I know they had some sort of a conversation. I don't know --

Jason: Okay, well, did she say anything about him?

Emily: Actually, she kind -- I don't know -- she seemed kind of upset when she left the house, but, you know -- but, I mean, that's understandable. You know, Mary’s a widow. She's going through the same thing I am.

Jason: There's something else. I mean, I don't know what it is yet, but I don't -- I don't think you should be around her.

Emily: Mary's a friend, Jason. Look, if she seems a little off, it's because she's mourning, just like me.

Mary: I made fried egg sandwiches. Did you lose something?

'Connor': Yeah, I'm looking for Mr. Alcazar's business card.

Mary: Oh. Well, maybe losing it isn't such a bad thing.

'Connor': Mary, we've been over this. Please --

Mary: I know, I know -- you want to work for him.

'Connor': Yeah, he thinks I have potential. Yes, I do.

Mary: So do I.

'Connor': But why are you so afraid of me getting a job with him?

Mary: You left the military. You're essentially a fugitive. Do you really think Mr. Alcazar wants a criminal working for him?

'Connor': Look, I need to do something, Mary. Look, I love you with all of my heart, but I don't want to spend the rest of my life painting walls and taking long walks in the woods, okay? I want to be someone that you can be proud of.

Mary: I am. I am. And I love you no matter what you do.

'Connor': I know, I know. I just -- I need to do something bigger with my life, to go out into the world. I know that that worries you, but come on, I survived a war, escaped the military to be with you. I'm obviously capable; have skills that neither of us even know about. I mean, I can handle any job that Alcazar has for me. What I need from you is to have faith in me. Will you?

Mary: Emily.

Emily: Hi.

Mary: Hi. How are you feeling?

Emily: Oh, much better. Listen, thank you so much for your help after the accident, Mary. It was so nice of you to get me back to your house and call my brother.

Mary: I was worried about you.

Emily: Yeah, Jason got me home okay. Listen, Mary, I know he was a little abrupt with you.

Mary: No problem.

Emily: You know, my brother can be really suspicious at times, but he means well. He -- he found this card at your house.

Mary: Oh, Mr. Alcazar gave me his card when we met at your aunt's party. Yeah, he -- he was very polite, but in a really pushy way.

Emily: Sounds right.

Mary: Yeah, he offered me a job, but I just took the card to get away from him. He's kind of intimidating.

Emily: Yeah, that's an understatement. When it comes to Lorenzo Alcazar, nothing is what it seems.

Mary: Hey, Emily.

Emily: Hi.

Mary: Hi. Can I ask you something?

Emily: Sure.

Mary: I just can't stop thinking about Mr. Alcazar. I mean, it sounds like your brother really hates him.

Emily: With good reason. Alcazar is dangerous, Mary. His brother was an arms dealer, and when he died, Lorenzo took over the business.

Mary: Well, why isn't he in jail?

Emily: Well, the police have never been able to convict him. See, someone else always takes the fall. But he's ruthless, Mary. Jason's wife miscarried because of him.

Mary: That's horrible.

Emily: Yeah. Alcazar's got a teenage niece who volunteers here at the hospital, so you'll definitely see him here. He'll probably be polite, even helpful. Don't make the mistake of trusting him.

Mary: Oh, that's unreal. I mean, he was pushy, but some people might call him charming.

Emily: Yeah, see, that's how he operates. He comes off as a perfect gentleman, but underneath he's always just trying to get what he wants.

'Connor': Thanks for stopping by.

Alcazar: Sure. You accepted my job offer. I wanted to hammer out the details. For example, when can you start?

'Connor': Well, I can start as soon as you need me, but first, there -- there are some mitigating circumstances that I’d like to discuss.

Alcazar: Well, that sounds serious.

'Connor': It is. Um, look, I just need to be able to trust you with some potentially damaging information.

Alcazar: Well, I'd expect nothing less. I'm trusting you to work for my organization. I expect you to put your faith in me.

'Connor': Okay, um -- before the -- before the injury, I was -- I was in the Marines. I was injured in Iraq and sent home to recuperate. My wife was afraid that I'd be killed, so she -- she begged me not to return to duty. I agreed.

Alcazar: So you're a deserter.

'Connor': Yes. And if you'd like to withdraw your job offer, I'd understand.

Alcazar: Well, you're obviously loyal to your wife. That's why you left your post.

'Connor': Yeah. Well, I still can't remember what -- what led up to my decision to run, but that's -- that's why Mary says I deserted.

Alcazar: I respect your choice to stick by your wife in her hour of need. More importantly, I appreciate your honesty with me. The job is definitely yours.

'Connor': Oh. Well, thank you.

Alcazar: Mm-hmm.

'Connor': You said you wanted me to -- to be a courier, which obviously may involve some international travel, but I can't use my own passport.

Alcazar: I'll arrange for another.

'Connor': You're going to give me a fake I.D.?

Alcazar: It's a simple solution.

'Connor': Illegal.

Alcazar: Do you -- do you have a problem with that, Connor?

'Connor': Look, a false passport is one thing but, I mean, I’ll agree to it if it makes it possible for me to work for you, but the work itself has to be legal.

Alcazar: Well, if there's anything questionable involved, you will be notified in advance and then you'll have the option to decline the job.

'Connor': Can I -- you know, why are you being so accommodating for me?

Alcazar: I can sympathize with your situation -- not the memory loss, of course, but if you'll allow me -- you don't seem to fit very comfortably in your present situation.

'Connor': Yeah, um -- well, Mary says that we've -- that we've always been happy just living a simple life. But -- but, yeah. Yeah, deep down, I -- I want more.

Alcazar: Mm-hmm. Your secret is safe with me, as long as you understand that I expect the same discretion with regard to my business.

'Connor': Absolutely, of course.

Alcazar: You'll carry out the assignments, no questions asked, attract as little attention as possible.

'Connor': Yeah, well, I've had a lot of practice.

Alcazar: That's true. Welcome, Connor.

'Connor': Thank you.

Mary: Connor isn't going to work for you.
