'Connor' is the true character of Nikolas Cassadine however, he has amnesia and believes that he is Connor Bishop.
Mary: What's wrong?
'Connor': I can't -- I can't do this. I can't hurt someone that I love.
Helena: I must admit, I underestimated you.
Emily: You've heard about Nikolas?
Helena: I never guessed that you could be a femme fatale, but both of your lovers appear to have perished in a single night. If my beloved grandson were not one of them, I would applaud you, my dear. No, really, I would.
Emily: Nikolas isn't gone.
Helena: They're dragging the river for his body as we speak.
Emily: Nikolas won't die on me.
Helena: If you're wrong and Nikolas is dead, I will destroy everyone you have ever cared for, and then I will kill you myself.
Emily: I'd like to see you try.
Emily: You're going to destroy everyone I love? You know, why don't you start with my brother Jason? I could call him right now, explain that you're threatening me, ask him to make sure that you never bother me again. You'd be gone, you witch, like that.
Helena: Hmm. Don't be so sure.
Emily: You know, you like to play games, make threats. See, Jason doesn't waste that kind of time. People who get in his way vanish or they die. And the only the reason that I'm not asking him to get rid of you now is that you're Nikolas' grandmother -- and on some level, you're afraid for him, as I am. You know, instead of making threats, why don't you pray that he comes home to us?
Helena: "Us"? There is no "us." I -- I am Nikolas' grandmother, and you, my dear, you are just a passing fancy, someone that Nikolas would forget long before he married you.
Emily: You know, are you that blind? Are you that blind to who Nikolas is? See, he is more than an heir and a prince. He is a wonderful, caring person. He has room in his heart for me and for his brother and for Lesley Lu, and even you. He would lay down his life for any one of us. That is why I will never give up on him. Because when Nikolas truly loves you, he never lets go.
'Connor': I don't recognize you. When I hear your name -- I hear your name, and it's completely unfamiliar to me. It's like I'm hearing it for the first time. But one thing -- one thing that I do know is that I hate -- I hate seeing you hurt like this.
Mary: I'm fine. Really.
'Connor': I'm sorry. Okay? I'm sorry, but my thoughts and my feelings, they just don't connect with each other. I just -- I don't even -- I don't know -- I don't know if I'm doing this right or if I'm handling this right.
Mary: No. I'm the one who should apologize. I'm rushing you because I just missed you so badly.
'Connor': I want to remember, too, okay?
Mary: We just have to be thankful that we're together again and have faith that we'll be able to figure it all out.
'Connor': I hope you're right.
Mary: Look on the bright side -- we have all the time in the world to fall in love.
Lucky: So far the search team hasn't come up with anything.
Elizabeth: Not even a footprint?
Lucky: It's dark. The foliage is thick in the area.
Emily: Lucky.
Lucky: Hey. How you holding up?
Emily: Hey, my parents checked me out. I'm fine. Is there any news?
Lucky: Not yet.
Ric: Look, you know, why don't you take a break? We can notify you as soon as we find out anything.
Elizabeth: He's right, Em, let me take you home and I'll stay with you, you can rest.
Emily: Thanks, Elizabeth, but I'm not going anywhere until I know Nikolas is okay.
Ric: Emily, we can do a more comprehensive search in the morning. You can come back then.
Lucky: Yeah, I can take you out with the P.C.P.D., team.
Emily: Look, it's cold tonight and the water is freezing.
Edward: Emily.
Emily: If Nikolas fell into the river, then we don't have a lot of time.
Edward: Emily.
Emily: I know it's a lot to ask -- Grandfather, this isn't a good time. If you're not here to help, then I really don't have time to --
Edward: Darling, that's exactly why I'm here. We're going to find Nikolas, no matter what it takes.
Edward: Whatever differences I may have had with Nikolas, I love you dearly. I'll do anything I can to help you in the search. The Quartermaine resources are at your disposal.
Emily: Grandfather, I'm so sorry I snapped. I just -- I can't stand the thought of Nikolas out there hurt and alone.
Edward: I know, I know, sweetheart. Now, where have we progressed in the search?
Emily: Okay, they've got rescue workers searching the area on foot and they've got a helicopter patrolling the river.
Lucky: Listen, we found Nikolas' coat by the riverbank. Looks like he fell in.
Officer: The helicopter pilot just called in. He spotted something in the river.
Ric: Was it Nikolas?
Officer: Well, we're not really sure. See, the river's moving kind of fast and the pilot lost sight of it. We're going to send another helicopter out to help.
Emily: Okay, I'm going with them.
Lucky: Yeah, me, too.
Ric: Whoa, whoa, whoa. No, look, Emily, I can't -- I can't have a civilian riding on a rescue flight. I can't authorize that.
Edward: Listen to me, young man -- my granddaughter's searching for her fiancee. I expect the full resources of your department to be at her disposal. If they're not, I call the mayor.
Ric: All right, Mr. Quartermaine, fine. Let me just call to authorize you on the flight.
Elizabeth: I'm praying you find him, Em.
Emily: We will.
Ross: Yeah, I'm sorry to bother you tonight. Port Charles Police Department, detective Ross Duncan. Listen, we're searching for a man who was involved in an accident earlier tonight. His car overturned. He might have a head injury. We think he wandered away from the site.
Mary: There was an officer here already. I told him I haven't seen anybody.
Ross: All right. Well, we're just letting everyone in the area know. He could be badly injured and in need of help.
Mary: Well, I'm here all alone, but if I see anything, I'll call you. Good luck with the search.
'Connor': We should help with the search.
Mary: Oh, we can't.
'Connor': No, I saw that car. It was in pretty bad shape. Whoever was in it is going to need all the help they can get.
Mary: Connor, we can't help with the search. You have to stay out of sight of the police. If they see you, they could report you as a deserter.
Mary: You're not in any condition to be running around the woods in the middle of the night.
'Connor': I can't just sit here waiting. The officer said this man is --
Mary: Connor, I understand why you want to help. It's a part of you, something separate from your memory -- just like you know you want to do your duty. It's not fair to ask you to stay.
'Connor': But you're going to anyway.
Mary: I'm going to ask you to be reasonable. Two different policemen have showed up here looking for this man. They're obviously doing everything they can to rescue him. You joining the search isn't going to help them, but you could -- you could very possibly hurt yourself.
'Connor': Mary, I can't stand here hiding like a coward. Okay?
Mary: That's the real reason you want to go out there. You're hoping the police will find you and turn you in. You want to accept what you've done and face the consequences. I don't have any right to stop you.
Helicopter approaches.
Mary: All I can do is ask you not to leave me.
'Connor': That's a search helicopter.
Mary: All you have to do is step outside and wave your arms. They'll find you.
Elizabeth: So? Anything?
Lucky: It wasn't him.
Emily: Someone's camping supplies got stuck on a branch and the sites have been flooded.
Edward: What kind of incompetents do they have working there that they mistake nikolas for a sleeping bag?
Lucky: It's dark. The river's flooded. It looked like someone clinging to a branch.
Elizabeth: Em, I'm sorry.
Emily: When the light swept across the river, I think i realized how strong the current is.
Elizabeth: Nikolas is a strong swimmer, isn't he?
Edward: Yes. He probably reached the riverbank by now. Those trees are so thick, you can't see anything from the air.
Emily: You didn't see the wreck. See, Nikolas has to be injured by now. He could be freezing or unconscious. We don't have a lot of time.
Ross: We just did our second house-to-house. Nobody in the area's seen him.
Emily: Okay, we have to keep searching the riverbank.
Elizabeth: Nobody's giving up.
Emily: Right, we can't. Nikolas may be hurt, but he's alive. He has to be.
Mary: I'll sleep on the couch.
'Connor': No, I will. I will. It's okay.
Mary: You'll sleep better in here.
'Connor': You will, too. Look -- look, we're married. Shouldn't be a big deal if we -- if we share the same bed together.
Mary: I don't want to make you uncomfortable.
'Connor': No, look, look, I know this is -- I know this is awkward for you, as it is for me, but we're married, whether I remember it or not. Maybe we should -- maybe we should get used to sleeping together. In the -- in the sense of sleeping, I mean.
Mary: It would be nice to have you beside me again.
'Connor': Okay.
Mary: Good night, Connor.
Mary: Welcome home.
'Connor': Good night.
