March 15, 2004 Screencaps

Felicia: I wanted to solve this case on my own, but there's not going to be enough time. I want you to put out an A.P.B. on Mac.

Lucky: It's already done. We're doing everything we can to find him.

Felicia: He's fighting for his life. He's extremely vulnerable to infection right now. He needs to be in a hospital.

Georgie: Oh, my God, Dad!

Zander: What do you know, Dad? I finally screwed up even bigger than you expected. I killed my own father.

Maxie: Nobody knew what happened to you.

Felicia: It's good to see you.

Lucky: It's good to see you, Boss.

Felicia: Are you all right?

Mac: Better now.

Lucky: Are you the person who found the Commissioner?

Hilda: Yeah. I'm sure you have a lot of questions, but right now the Commissioner really needs to get to his room.

Lucky: "John Doe"?

Felicia: You were at Mercy Hospital?

Mac: That's where I woke up, and nobody knew who I was.

Felicia: How did you end up there?

Zander: I never meant to start that fire, Dad. It -- things just got out of control.

Zander groans.

Wally: What are you doing down here?

Zander: I got lost.

Wally: The hell you did. You're the guy they're looking for -- Zander Smith. I'm calling the police.

Zander: No, no, no! Damn it! I never meant for any of this to happen. I didn't mean to kill you. I just -- I didn't mean to do any of it. But I've been given a second chance. I won't screw up this time, okay? I'm -- I’m going to make my life count.

Zander: You know, the only time I can ever remember being happy was when Pete and I were kids and when Emily and I got together. She agreed to marry me. I -- I thought my love could save her like the way that she saved me. And when her cancer went into remission, I thought I was going to get the chance to make it all right; stop hating myself for the past, just -- just to be happy. Nikolas was already in the way. If he was gone, Emily could remember how we completed each other. She could just fall in love with me all over again. We could be a family -- me and Emily and -- and your grandchild. If Elizabeth has a little boy, we're going to name him Cameron after you, okay? My little boy's going to know that his granddad had a good side. You know, the funny thing about losing everything, dad, you stop being afraid. You understand what -- what's important in life and how to get it. I'm going to have the family that I always wanted, and I'm going to make you proud of me. I'm going to make you proud of your son.

Felicia: Here you go.

Mac groans.

Felicia: So you can't remember anything?

Mac: I -- I was at G.H. The nurse wanted to change my bandages. She must've given me a sedative. The next thing I know, I was waking up at Mercy.

Maxie: That is so weird.

Felicia: Do they have any record of admitting you to Mercy?

Mac: They found me on a gurney in the E.R. I was unconscious. They must've assumed the paperwork had been lost.

Georgie: Why would someone move dad to a different hospital?

Felicia: Whoever took you out of General Hospital went to a lot of trouble to take care of your wounds.

Maxie: Let's not worry about who did it. All that matters is Dad is back.

Georgie: Yeah, we -- we love you so much.

Elizabeth: Emily? Hey, Em? Are you in here?

Emily: Elizabeth? Hey.

Elizabeth: Hi.

Emily: Thanks for coming so quickly.

Elizabeth: Of course. What's going on?

Felicia: Why would somebody kidnap a burn victim and then drop him in another hospital as a John Doe?

Lucky: Somebody with a grudge against Mac. They tried to hurt him but couldn't follow through.

Felicia: Well, that's possible. As a Police Commissioner, I'm sure he has a lot of enemies. But how could that person get away with it? I mean, Mac could barely move. I mean, he couldn't see --

Lucky: Felicia, listen --

Felicia: He could be easily spotted.

Lucky: Just let the police handle this. Listen, you got bigger issues to worry about. Maxie -- she's been pretty torn up with you gone.

Felicia: That's really sweet of you to notice.

Lucky: Listen, I'm going to do what I can, but you're really the one the girls need right now. So, please, do your family a favor and let this mystery go.

Tony: Is this patient from the E.R.?

Hilda: Yes. There are no changes. Here's his chart.

Lucky: What happened?

Hilda: He got hit by broken glass. There was an explosion outside the courthouse.

Lucky: Do you know the source?

Hilda: A car blew up. The limo belonged to Sonny Corinthos.

Lorenzo: Carly --

Felicia: Mac says that you were the one that found him at Mercy Hospital.

Hilda: Mm-hmm.

Felicia: Did you see anybody drop him off?

Hilda: No. He was just lying there on the gurney, already bandaged.

Felicia: Thank you for helping him.

Hilda: I know. You might actually check at General. There's probably a mix-up -- paperwork, something.

Felicia: Could you give it a little bit more time? I'm a private investigator, and from my experience, I've found that just a little bit of detail can help in a case like this.

Hilda: Sure.

Felicia: Now, Mac told me that when you came back in, you were coming back in from your break.

Hilda: Mm-hmm.

Felicia: If you would, imagine walking into the hospital. Did you see anything unusual?

Hilda: Well, actually, now, come to think of it, there was something.

Felicia: Tell me.

Hilda: Well, there was a man across the street, and he was carrying bandages and supplies, but he was running off from the hospital. I remember wondering who he was.

Felicia: Can you describe him?

Hilda: I couldn't see his face, but my friend Nancy said nobody had come to the hospital while I was on break, so he couldn't have been an outpatient.

Felicia: Okay, well thanks, Hilda. Hilda: Mm-hmm.

Felicia: You may have helped me identify the person who kidnapped Mac.

Emily: It was the most wonderful surprise. I mean, the church was perfect, and we just -- we stood there and looked into each other's eyes and pledged our love.

Elizabeth: Mm-hmm.

Emily: Oh, Liz, I’m just so sure of Nikolas.

Elizabeth: I'm so glad, Emily. You deserve to be happy after everything that happened with Zander.

Emily: Yeah. That's -- that's the hardest part.

Elizabeth: I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought it up.

Emily: No, no, no, no, no, it's okay. It's just, you know, I loved him once. I never meant to hurt him.

Elizabeth: Yeah, well, neither did I. I'm going to feel sorry for the rest of my life that I hit -- that I -- I killed him.

Emily: No, I mean, I'm responsible, too. I'm the reason he started acting out in the first place.

Elizabeth: No, no, no, no. Don't do this to yourself, Emily. Don't search for reasons to be guilty. You and Nikolas are going to have an amazing life together, and so are Ric and the baby and I. None of us meant to hurt Zander, and the best thing for us all is just get on with our lives.

Emily: I know. I'm so happy with Nikolas, and I thank God every day that we have a lifetime to love each other. But, you know, my memories of Zander haven't gone away, you know? Even when the person you cared for dies, they're always going to be in your heart.

Felicia: You just sit back and relax and let me and the girls take good care of you.

Mac: Who you trying to fool, Felicia? I can see it in your eyes. You're already halfway out the door.

Felicia: Oh, no. Not this time.

Mac: You can't wait to start investigating who kidnapped me and why.

Felicia: Oh -- okay. Yeah, that's a little bit disturbing. But what makes me really furious is that somebody actually risked your health.

Mac: My health is fine. It'll be even better if you let this mystery go unsolved.

Felicia: Well, I am perfectly capable of figuring out what happened and taking good care of you at the same time.

Mac: I don't think Maxie and Georgie would agree. They're gun-shy, Felicia. Your habit of jumping feet-first into every new adventure -- it's what tore our family apart in the first place.

Felicia: I only stayed away for so long because no one bothered to call me and tell me what was happening at home.

Mac: I know I should've been honest with you about what was happening with the girls while you were in Texas.

Felicia: Hmm.

Mac: I was wrong to make that decision on my own. But you're here now. The girls need you. Stay. Please stay and take care of them. I mean, it's not going to give you the same kind of rush as chasing down a criminal, but it's worth so much more. Felicia, Georgie and Maxie need their mother. They need you.

Emily: Nikolas? Are you back?
