June 18, 2004 Screencaps

'Connor' is the true character of Nikolas Cassadine however, he has amnesia and believes that he is Connor Bishop.

The camera pans in on 'Connor' and Emily kissing, his hands are bracig himself above her, her arms around his neck. The camera pans back and we see 'Connor' covering Emily on the couch, stretched full length out. 'Connor' pulls back, his teeth pulling on her lips, making them glisten. They look at each other breathing heavily and then 'Connor' dives for Emily, kissing her roughly, their hands moving all over their bodies.

The scene is at General Hospital, a doctor and a police officer rushing around. We see a person strapped onto a gurney, their head enacased in the protective orange foam. The camera zooms a close up on the face and we see that it's Mary.

Doctor: What do we got?

Officer: We just fished this girl out of the river.

The doctor and officer continue to talk when Lorenzo comes in and interrupts.

Doctor: So, how'd she end up in the river?

Officer: Trying and kill herself, I guess.

Lorenzo: Mary Bishop did not try to kill herself. She has everything to live for.

The music plays as 'Connor' and Emily's love scene continues to play. The camera is shot from above and we get a shot of 'Connor' and Emily kissing, 'Connor' stretched full length. Emily's hands push up 'Connor's shirt and he rears back to rip it off, pulling her heels off at the same time. Emily is shoving down her dress, leaving her in her negligee. They begin to kiss again, and 'Connor' helps push it off and shove it away. He pulls back from the kiss and stands, unzipping his pants and shoving them off. He helps her rear up and pulls the dress away. He covers her again, the kissing resumes. A lot of shots of them kissing, mimicing the movements of lovemaking.

Lorenzo talks to the doctor and officer and then is allowed to go and see Mary.

Lorenzo: I know this woman. Her husband works for me. She would not attempt suicide.

Doctor: She has no bruises, no trauma. It doesn't look like she fell. She may have walked into that river and got swept away by the current.

Lorenzo: Right. Thanks for your attention. I'll take it from here.

Officer: Who the hell are you anyway?

Lorenzo: You really want to find out?

Mary: Find Connor. Find Connor.

The camera cuts to 'Connor' and Emily wrapped together in a bedsheet lying as one on the couch, 'Connor' sucks and nibbles on Emily's fingers.

Emily: Are you okay?

'Connor': It feels right to be with you. But I'm married to someone else. I mean, how can I have a fight with my wife and end up making love to a woman that I barely know? And why don't I feel terrible right now? I mean, I -- I haven't felt better than I do right now since -- since I can remember.

Emily: So do I.

They begin to kiss again, 'Connor' kisses Emily's shoulder and then gets up, and pills on his pants, leaving them undone. 'Connor' goes around the couch and rests himself on the arms, propped up by his arms. Emily sits up to watch him.

'Connor': What just happened goes against everything that I believe. But making love to you doesn't feel wrong to me.

'Connor' walks over to the fireplace, scratching his head. He props himself on the mantle looking into space. Emily bends down and scrounges around in her purse, pulling out a wallet sized picture of her and Nikolas.

Emily: There's a good reason for that. She holds the picture out towards him but 'Connor' won't turn around. Here.

A cell phone rings and 'Connor' walks to answer it. He pauses to look at the caller ID and takes a minute to compose himeself.

'Connor': Hello.

Lorenzo: Your wife was involved in a serious accident. She's at Mercy Hospital.

'Connor' and Emily are rushing around the study, pulling on their clothes. Emily's trying to pull out the picture from her purse but 'Connor' isn't in the mood to listen. She holds out the picture, trying to make him see but he won't take it.

'Connor': I never should have come out here with you.

Emily: What happened to Mary?

'Connor': I don't know, but she's at Mercy Hospital, where I should be. I never should have left her alone.

Emily: Look, you had a fight. You walked away. Whatever happened happened.

'Connor': Yeah, it wouldn't have happened if I would have stayed with her.

Emily: You can't know that.

'Connor': I'm her husband. It's my job to take care of her.

Emily: You have a right to be happy, and --

'Connor': What do you mean? You mean to make myself happy? Follow my feelings? Waltz around an empty room with a complete stranger?

Emily: There's a good reason for that.

'Connor': Look, Emily, I was unfaithful to my wife. I'm not going to try and rationalize my way out of it.

Emily: Okay, but if you can't remember ever being this happy then there must be a reason for it!

'Connor': That's the point right there. I'm using amnesia as an excuse to get whatever I want.

Emily: Okay, I can explain --

'Connor': Emily --

Emily: If you'll just give me one second!

'Connor': Emily -- Emily, please -- please. Please, don't make excuses for what just happened, okay? There's absolutely no good reason for me to have cheated on my wife.

Mary walks into the Wydemere study. Nikolas is drinking brandy at the desk... he is pissed, telling Mary that he knows everything.

Mary: Connor? What are you doing at the Cassadines'?

Nikolas: "Connor"? That's rich.

Mary: That's your name. Connor Bishop.

Nikolas: Emily told me everything.

Mary: And you believe her?

Nikolas: You're damn right I do.

Mary: No, she's lying! You're my husband!

Nikolas: No -- no, I am not, and I never will be your husband!

Mary: Connor, please --

Nikolas: No. My name is Nikolas Cassadine. But see, you've known that for months, haven't you? But you lied to me. You lied to me so you wouldn't have to be alone.

Mary: That's because I love you.

Nikolas: Love -- is that what you call this? You stole my life, Mary! That's not love. That's desperation. But see, you've know that for months already, but you've been lying to me the whole time just so you wouldn't have to be alone!

Mary: Just because I love you.

Nikolas: Love? Is that what you call this? Love? Huh? You stole my life! You made me believe that I was a marine deserter, Mary, just so you wouldn't have to be alone! Now, that's not love! That's desperation! How could you desecrate your own husband's life like that?

Mary: No, Connor would want me to be happy.

Nikolas: Happy? What, by pretending that his life never existed? What'd you do with his things? Hmm? What did you do with all of his pictures, Mary? Did you burn them? Hmm? You probably burned them, didn't you? But see -- because, see, that's the kind of person you are. How could you do this? You erased that man's entire life. You made it as if his life -- everything that he cared about means absolutely nothing! It's like the guy never even existed!

Mary: Well, I -- I panicked! I didn't --

Nikolas: You pa-- and that --

Mary: But it wasn't supposed to happen.

Nikolas: I don't care! Does that make it all right? Does that make it all right? You know what it feels like to grieve for the love of your life, yet you allowed Emily to keep grieving and grieving and grieving, knowing the whole time that I was alive! You befriended her. You shared in her pain. But see, that was a lie, too, wasn't it? You were just -- you just kept gathering information, more and more information to keep her away from me, just so you could have me yourself.

Mary attaches herself to Nikolas and hangs on. She won't let go.

Mary: Please --

Nikolas: Get off me.

Mary: I can make you happy --

Nikolas: You are --

Mary: If you give me a chance!

Nikolas: You are so pathetic. You can't even -- you can't even grasp how much Emily and I love each other. She and I -- see, we have the kind of love -- get off of me! We have the kind of love, Mary, that is bigger and stronger than all your stupid lies. I -- I will never stop loving her no matter how hard you hold on to me.

Mary: Please --

Nikolas: Would you get --

Mary: Please don't do this.

Nikolas: You are more pathetic than I even imagined! I could never love you. Now, get off me.

Nikolas shakes Mary off, shoves her away. and walks out of the study.

Mary's eyes pop open in the hospital and we realize she's been having a dream. She looks up to see 'Connor'.

Mary: Connor.

'Connor' sits by Mary's beside, carressing her hair and comforting her. 'Connor' looks guilty.

Mary: I went for a walk after you left. I was upset about our fight. I know I was wrong.

'Connor': No, no, not at all. It's okay. It's okay.

Mary: I must have got too close to the river, I guess. I should know better with the rain we've had, but I slipped. And I tried to swim, but the current was really strong. And I couldn't find anything to hold on to. And the water was pulling me over and underneath. I -- I took a deep breath, but it was all water. I panicked. Then everything went dark, and I woke up here.

'Connor': It's okay. Okay. What were you doing so close to the river, anyway, huh? What were you thinking?

Mary's eyes divert their attention to over 'Connor's shoulder and he turns around to see Lorenzo watching them from the doorway.

The men talk outside of Mary's little cubicle.

Lorenzo: Hey.

'Connor': How did you know Mary was hurt?

Lorenzo: I have strong contacts within the police department. Look, they think that Mary attempted suicide.

'Connor': What?

Lorenzo: And that was my concern with the hypnosis in the first place.

'Connor': How did you know about the --

Lorenzo: Mary called me.

'Connor': Right. Oh, she must have been pretty desperate to have called you.

Lorenzo: Yeah, desperate, but not suicidal. Look, I don't think Mary walked into that river because of something that happened in the past. After the two of you had that fight, where'd you go?

The doctor comes out from examining Mary and interrupts the men.

Doctor: Mr. Bishop, your wife is getting worse.

Mary is unconscious and 'Connor's at her beside, caressing her hair. We see him pause and can tell he's thinking about Emily.

'Connor': Mary, please, don't give up. Okay? You can't. Whatever you think is happening -- I'm sorry. I made a terrible mistake. Okay, I was wrong. But if you come back to me, I'll never do anything to hurt you again. I'll give up trying to remember. I'll let my past stay gone. I'll walk away from anything, okay? I'll walk away from -- from anyone. From anyone to be with you.

The camera pans back and we see Emily standing on the other side of the curtain, listening to 'Connor', tears are streaming down her face.
