'Connor' is the true character of Nikolas Cassadine however, he has amnesia and believes that he is Connor Bishop.

'Connor': You're still here.

Emily: Yeah. I've been waiting for you.

'Connor': Mary's gone through a lot of trouble to keep me hid. She'd -- she'd flip out if she knew you've seen me alive.

Emily: Yeah, I'm sure she would.

'Connor': I tell you, you know, she's been through so much. I just -- I just want this trip to be a new beginning for the both of us.

Emily: Why -- why do you need to start over?

'Connor': Because it's just -- it's just too frustrating not to remember anything, knowing I was injured in Iraq and deserted the marines, came home and yet everything's just a clean slate in my head. I just need to --

Emily: You really don't remember anything?

'Connor': No. Just waking up with Mary by my side and telling me that I'm her husband.

Nikolas sighs.

'Connor': It feels good to get away for a while, though. Come to a place that's -- that's new to the both of us and renew our wedding vows, make new memories together. Do you know what a coincidence it is that -- that you're here, as well? I mean, how did you happen to pick this place?

Emily: Uh -- my -- my fiance booked this trip for us -- uh -- before he died. He wanted to surprise me.

'Connor': You loved him a great deal, didn't you?

Emily: He was wonderful. He was generous and -- and kind, and I could -- I could barely stand to be apart from him. Um --

'Connor': What? What, my cross?

Emily: Yeah.

'Connor': What about it?

Emily: I -- I don't mean to pry, but where'd you get it?

'Connor': Oh. Well, Mary said that she gave it to me before I went overseas to keep me safe. Why? Why do you ask?

Emily: Um -- I was just curious. A cross usually has meaning for the person wearing it.

'Connor': Yeah, well, this is -- this was the -- a first connection I made when I woke up, the first spark that I might remember something -- where I came from, who I was, the woman that --

Emily: What? What woman?

'Connor': The woman that loved me.

Emily: What's wrong?

'Connor': Nothing. No, it's -- no, it's just that all of this seems so familiar to me.

Emily: Why?

'Connor': I'm not sure.

Emily: Well, think. Think. Maybe something will come back to you.

'Connor': Well, I saw -- I saw photos of this resort in a -- in a travel magazine, and -- Emily, it was like I -- it was like I recognized this place. Like -- like somehow, I was supposed to be here.

Emily: Nikolas always said that things happen for a reason.

'Connor': Nikolas, of course. I'm really sorry he passed away. I know you miss him a lot.

Emily: I'll never stop loving him.

'Connor': Yeah. I can tell by what you said at the memorial.

Emily: What?

'Connor': I -- I had been in the church earlier. I lost my cross and went back to get it. I saw the service for Nikolas. And I just -- I was outside the doors, and I just listened. It was really beautiful, what you said.

Emily: Yeah. That church was -- was special to Nikolas and me. You know, I -- I felt his presence there so strongly after he died. We -- we went there alone one night to say our -- our wedding vows.

'Connor': Yeah, that's -- oh -- that's why Mary and I came here. I have a new job and it pays pretty well. My boss treated us to this trip. I knew that renewing our vows would mean a lot to Mary, but I had no idea how much they would mean to me. I mean, I -- I felt every word -- the joy, the commitment, the promise of a second chance with somebody I loved. Yeah. And Mary? Wow, she -- she looked beautiful. I'll never forget -- I'll never forget the way her eyes were shining when she -- when she looked up at me.

'Connor': Hey. What's wrong? What'd I say?

'Connor': Emily -- Emily, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have gone on about renewing my wedding vows when I know you're grieving for someone. I'm sorry.

Emily: No, no, no -- don't -- don't apologize. I'm just -- I'm so moved by how you talk about Mary. Um -- the love you found and the -- the memories you're making.

'Connor': Well, there's plenty of room for them.

Emily: You don't seem upset about losing your past.

'Connor': Well, I just -- you know, I just try to stay focused on how happy I am now.

Emily: Maybe there's something you're missing. Some -- some part of your life that would seem more complete if only you remembered it.

'Connor': Maybe. But, you know, Mary and I have our -- have our memories now. And we'll remember them in the future. That has to be enough.

Emily: Are you sure?

'Connor': Yeah, well, you know, I -- I believe that -- that it's the little things, you know, that make up what two people are to each other. You know, the surprises, the -- the traditions, the holidays, things like that.

Emily: Like St. Viviana's day?

'Connor': Like what? What's that?

Emily chuckles.

Emily: It's a -- a tradition that my fiance made up to distract me.

'Connor': He made -- he made up a holiday?

Emily: Yeah. In the middle of winter. Um -- he -- he wanted to take a -- a walk in the snow, so he invented St. Viviana's day. And he claimed that a walk was part of the tradition. Um -- we had a snowball fight. And it was so cold, we -- we could see each other's breath. We laughed so hard that we fell down in the snow. Nikolas told me that he would love me forever.

Mary: Connor?

'Connor': You should go before Mary sees us together. Please.

'Connor': Look, I have no right to keep our meeting a secret, but Mary -- she's -- she's just feeling so carefree and happy right now. I -- you know, just give us this time to enjoy each other so she doesn't have to worry about me. Okay?

Emily: All right.

'Connor': Emily? I'm really sorry for your loss. In time I -- I believe you'll find someone else to love.

Mary: Oh, there you are.

'Connor': Hi.

Mary: Why didn't you answer when I called?

'Connor': Oh. God, I was a little distracted.

Mary: Well, I can't believe how beautiful it is here. Come here.

'Connor': Yeah.

Mary: Sit down.

'Connor': Okay. Oh --

Mary: I brought a fruit picnic.

'Connor': Here, I'll feed you.

Mary: Feed me?

'Connor': Yes.

Mary: I feel like Cleopatra.

'Connor': Well, get used to it, because I'm treating you like royalty for the rest of the honeymoon.

Mary giggles.

Mary: Mmm.

'Connor': They're good.

'Connor': So how about an early lunch, hmm? We'll take one of those horseback rides to the rainforest.

Mary: Oh, that sounds like fun.

'Connor': Wait, do I -- do I know how to ride? Wait, forget it. Forget it, don't tell me. I don't want to know, because we are in the present, not the past.

Mary: Well, we could go back to the hotel room and make love all afternoon.

'Connor': Oh, talk about a perfect day.

Mary: You know, I've never seen you so relaxed.

'Connor': I know, it's -- it's this place. Now, I -- I know that it sounds strange, but the minute that I saw the -- the picture in the travel magazine, it was like -- it was like I was meant to come here. You know, like it was -- like it was waiting for me -- for us.

Mary: So then let's leave the past behind.

'Connor': We are.

Mary: No. I mean, there's nothing left for us in Port Charles. Why don't we move here? Why don't we make this our new home?

Emily: Hey, Jason, are you home?

Jason: Emily.

Emily: Hey. Okay. Um -- do you ever wish that you could get back the life you had before the accident?

Jason: Why?

Emily: No, no, no -- please, listen, just tell me -- are you happier now? Or are you just making the best you can of a terrible loss?

Jason: Why are you -- why are you asking me this? What's wrong?

Emily: Nikolas -- Nikolas is alive.
