Nikolas: You went straight to the brother I don't remember and told him my personal business.
Emily: That's right.
Nikolas: Emily, he's a cop. You had no right to do that.
Emily: I don't care. Somebody has to save you from yourself.
Nikolas: Look, I'm more than capable of making my own decisions. And if you don't like that, that's too damn bad.
Emily: Faith Rosco is lethal, Nikolas. She kills people for kicks.
Lucky: Did Alcazar bother to tell you that Faith probably shot Jasper Jacks? That transporting her is only going to put you in danger?
Nikolas: Who's that? I don't know who Jasper Jacks is, and I really don't care who shot him. I want you and Emily to stay out of my life.
Lucky: Okay, why can't you see Alcazar is using you?
Nikolas: Well, at least he's not telling me who to be and how to act. Look, I can't live up to either one of your expectations. And to be honest with you, I have no intention of trying.
Lucky: Hmm, fine. You know what, I'll just find another way to stop you. You coming, Emily?
Emily: Um, yeah -- I want to talk to Nikolas alone.
Lucky: Good luck.
Nikolas: You're wasting your time.
Emily: And you're wasting yours if you think this tantrum, or anything else, will make me stop loving you.
Emily: You're angry because I lied to you. But the way you're acting proves I was right.
Nikolas: Oh. Do you have any idea how condescending that is?
Emily: See, you're afraid that you can't measure up to the honest, good, moral, generous person you were before the accident, so -- so you're burning your old life to the ground, you're going against everything you believed, you're alienating everyone you loved. And that would be ok if you weren't putting yourself in danger and you weren't --
Nikolas: I'm so glad that I have your permission.
Emily: The therapist said your memory loss may not be permanent.
Nikolas: Well, he's been wrong so far.
Emily: The worse case isn't that you'll never remember. It's that you'll wake up someday and want back everything you've thrown away.
Faith: What are we waiting for?
Alcazar: Nikolas.
Faith: Well, if he's late, forget him.
Alcazar: You need him for cover.
Faith: And while we are docked in this harbor waiting for him to show his admittedly handsome face, I'm a sitting duck.
Alcazar: Relax, Faith.
Faith: With Sonny out to kill me?
Alcazar: The plan is simple. You'll hide below deck, while Nikolas and Mary pretend to be on a romantic cruise. And they'll be here any minute, so sit down.
Faith: Why am I not reassured?
Phone intercom beeps.
Alcazar: Yes? All right, send him down. Officer Spencer is here to speak with me.
Faith: Oh, great. Ahem.
Alcazar: Hello, Lucky. How can I help you?
Lucky: I want you to back off Nikolas. Or I'll give you trouble you can't handle.
Emily: Alcazar is taking advantage of your memory loss.
Nikolas: He's explained the situation, outlined the risk, and then left it to me to make my own choices.
Emily: Nikolas, you haven't had a chance to get your bearings, to figure out what you might like to do, what kind of a job might suit you. Alcazar is aware of that. You were restless. You wanted to feel useful. Alcazar knows that he's filling that void.
Nikolas: Would you listen to yourself? You assume that I'm too weak and confused to know my own mind.
Emily: No, that is not what I mean.
Nikolas: At least Alcazar treats me like a competent adult, instead of some out-of-control, crazed mental case that needs to be supervised and told what to do.
Emily: What if you get pulled into something illegal? What if your memory returns and you wake up a fugitive or in prison, and you realize too late who you really are?
Nikolas: I'll take that risk.
Emily sighs.
Emily: Nikolas, what are you trying to prove?
Nikolas: I'm not -- nothing. Okay? I'm just trying to live the life that I have now, instead of trying to become the person that you want me to .. look, I'm just -- I'm sick and tired of sining you waiting and praying that the fiance you lost will magically return. Please, just leave me alone.
Emily: If that's the way you feel, consider it done.
Lucky: A witness can place you with Faith Rosco and Nikolas Cassadine.
Alcazar: To the best of my knowledge, neither Nikolas nor Faith are involved in anything illegal.
Lucky: You know what? Faith Rosco is a prime suspect in shooting Jasper Jacks. She's also wanted for questioning in the connection of shootings of you and Sonny Corinthos.
Alcazar: The police think Faith tried to have me killed?
Lucky: I don't give a damn about Faith! I'm here to protect my brother.
Alcazar: Well, then you're wasting your time, because he doesn't want or need your protection.
Lucky: He doesn't know you're using him, and I do. And I want it to stop now!
Alcazar: You should be glad Nikolas is focused on other interests. It leaves Emily free for you.
Lucky: I don't want Emily at my brother's expense.
Alcazar: Take it up with him, not me.
Lucky: If anything happens to my brother because of you, I'll make you pay.
Door closes.
Lucky: Hey. How'd it go with Nikolas?
Emily: Oh, more of the same. He yelled at me for trying to control him.
Lucky: Well, hey, don't let it get to you. He's frustrated, so he's just lashing out at people who care about him.
Emily: No, you know, it's more than that. Nikolas is punishing me by trying to ruin his own life.
Nikolas: Mary isn't here yet. We'll go to your yacht as soon as she arrives.
Alcazar: Your brother, Lucky, put me on notice. He said if anything happens to you, he's going to make it his personal mission to destroy me.
Nikolas: Oh, he has no right to interfere. You know.
Alcazar: Nevertheless, there's a change in plans.
Nikolas: Oh, come on, Lucky doesn't intimidate you.
Alcazar: No. But his scrutiny does complicate things.
Nikolas: We'll be gone in a matter of hours. He --
Alcazar: I'm going to handle the Faith situation myself.
Nikolas: Come on. Come on, don't you start trying to protect me now, too. Look, I've had more than enough of that.
Alcazar: I'm not going to provide you with an opportunity to self-destruct. It's bad for business, and I happen to consider you a friend.
Nikolas: Oh, I don't need friends who patronize me. Thank you.
Emily: I'm doing more harm than good trying to get through to him. You know, I keep promising myself that I won't pressure him, but --
Lucky: But you want him to remember his past.
Emily: I want him to make the kind of choices he would have made before, but every time I try to talk to him, he's even more shut down, and now he's putting himself in danger to try to drive me away. Well, all I can do is just keep my distance and hope that he'll calm down and stop trying to ruin everything that's good in his life.
Lucky: Emily, I think your intentions are good. But I don't think it's enough to leave it alone.
Emily: Well, what else can I do?
Lucky: You need to convince him you've moved on.
Mary: My bags are in the hallway. Ready?
Nikolas: The trip's off.
Mary: Why?
Nikolas: Because Lucky went to Lorenzo and said it was too risky.
Mary: Why does Lorenzo care what Lucky thinks?
Nikolas: Well, because being under scrutiny from the P.C.P.D., is bad for business. So, Lorenzo is leaving me safe here at Wyndemere so I can't hurt myself.
Mary: Well, you -- you don't have to be alone. If you don't mind, I'd like to stay here with you.
Emily: I'll focus on work and school and give Nikolas the room he needs to rebuild his life.
Lucky: You can go one step further.
Emily: How?
Lucky: Convince Nikolas it's over by being with me.
Emily: You want me to use you to distance myself from Nikolas?
Nikolas: I don't know what I feel for you, Mary. Sometimes I'm furious at all the lies. And sometimes I just feel sorry for you.
Mary: And sometimes?
Nikolas: Whatever else I may or may not feel, I just don't want to take advantage of you.
Mary: So, where does that leave us?
Nikolas: I don't know. I don't know. I'm not sure. But what I do know is for all of its problems, I liked my life as Connor Bishop a lot better than the one I have right now.
