'Connor' is the true character of Nikolas Cassadine however, he has amnesia and believes that he is Connor Bishop. His name reverts back to Nikolas in this episode due to the revelations revealed.

Lucky: It's really over between you and Nikolas?

Emily: Oh, yeah, it's over.

Lucky: Then there's room for something new to start. You -- you know how I feel.

Emily: I'm just not ready.

'Connor': I don't understand.

Mary: Please, Connor. I know you want to be with Emily. Why am I still pretending? The least I could do is call you by your real name. So go, Nikolas. Be happy. 'Connot': What did you call me?

Mary: I thought she told you.

'Connor': Told me what?

Mary: I'm sorry.

'Connor': You -- you called me -- you called me Nikolas. Nikolas Cassadine.

Lucky: You're not over Nikolas.

Emily: It's more than that, Lucky. I don't want to be like Mary.

Lucky: What?

Emily: Mary was grieving, and she used Nikolas as a substitute for the man she lost. I won't use you, Lucky. You're one of the most amazing men I've ever known, and you deserve someone who can be with you completely, not someone who's longing for the person they lost.

Lucky: I understand. When you're ready, I'll be waiting.

'Connor': Nikolas Cassadine was in an accident less than a mile from this house on the same night that I woke up in this house with a woman that I didn't know.

Mary: You came to my door the night of the accident. You were hurt.

'Connor': I hit my head. I hurt my head. I remember -- I remember the blood in my eyes. I hit my head.

Mary: When I saw you lying there, for a second I thought that Connor had come back to me.

Nikolas: Oh, my -- oh, my God. Connor Bishop doesn't exist!

Mary: He was my husband. He died in the war.

Nikolas: I didn't remember my name. I didn't -- I didn't remember you. Oh, my God, there was -- there were so many things you -- you said that I failed Spanish, that I -- that in my spare time I carved things out of wood! But none of that made sense -- none of it. And it never has!

Mary: You were hurt. You couldn't remember, so I gave you a past.

Nikolas: You told -- you told me -- you told me that I deserted from the Marines, but that didn't make sense, either! How could -- how could you do that? I would never leave my duty like that!

Mary: I just wasn't thinking.

Nikolas: Oh, my God, there -- so many details. The -- the Baltic Sea, the caviar, the Greek -- none of it fit with the life that you told me about! None of it!

Mary: I gave you Connor’s life. A new life. You -- you were hurt and lost, and I gave you something to hold on to.

Nikolas: The -- the images from the fire. They came up in the therapy. I was -- I was wearing a tuxedo. I was probably right here -- right here in Port Charles the whole time! Oh, my God. Emily -- Emily -- she was in the hospital. She was in a hospital -- in a hospital bed, and she -- she told me to live a happy life. That -- that's why you wanted to keep me away from her! Because she's Nikolas' -- my fiancée.

Mary: It was a mistake.

Nikolas: It was a lie! It was a lie, every -- every word of it! Say something, Mary! Or -- or is that even your real name?

Mary: Yeah. I'm Mary Bishop, and everything I told you about Connor is true -- how we met, how we fell in love, how much we loved each other. When you came into my life, I -- I’d lost everything -- the only man I’d ever loved, the man I built my life around. It's all I’d ever wanted. And when you showed up at my door hurt and lost, I -- I told myself that I was being given a second chance.

Nikolas: You -- you kept me in this house! You -- you begged me -- you begged me not to go into town or anywhere near the hospital because you -- you knew. You knew that my -- oh, my God, my friends and my family, they would see me and expose all your -- all your lies, Mary! You knew that!

Mary: I was afraid of losing you again.

Nikolas: You never had me! I was just some -- some stranger that you -- that you trapped! That you trapped and manipulated for some sick fantasy of yours!

Mary: I gave into an impulse, and somehow, like a miracle, it worked. Because you really -- you seemed to love me. We were happy in Mexico.

Nikolas: Get -- get -- get away. How -- how long? How long did you think you could keep up this lie, Mary?

Mary: It wasn't a lie to me. I really fell in love with you. I had finally moved on from Connor, and --

Nikolas: You -- you knew! You knew that I would find out! That's -- see, that's why -- that's why you tried to get pregnant, because you knew it was a trap. It was a trap. How could you do that?

Mary: I was afraid of being alone. And now that fear's going to happen again -- I’m going to lose someone I love.

Nikolas: No, Mary, you lost Connor Bishop, your husband. You can't lose me!

Mary: But why?

Nikolas: Your -- your husband died months ago, Mary! I was never yours to begin with!

Mary: I don't want you to hate me. I -- I want you to understand --

Nikolas: Oh, I understand. I understand you are sick, and you need help.

Mary: No. Please, I -- I didn't --

Nikolas: You spend a lot of time here. Reminiscing about the time you spent in my house?

Emily: Your --

Nikolas: Wyndemere. You said it belonged to the Cassadines. I'm the Cassadine prince.

Emily: You remember?

Nikolas: Mary told me. Why didn't you? When did you first realize I was alive? The night on the beach in Mexico?

Emily: Yes.

Nikolas: Hmm. Did it ever occur to you to tell me the truth?

Emily: I didn't -- I didn't want to shock or panic you. Mary's lie was so elaborate and you believed that you had a completely different life.

Nikolas: Believed, believed. So you just let me go on believing, while you worked to -- to become my -- my friend. You took me to the hospital. You took me on a tour of my own home, Emily, and you said nothing! Why?

Emily: I wanted to let you remember on your own.

Nikolas: Four words. Four words, Emily -- "You are Nikolas Cassadine," "You are my fiancé," "I love you, Nikolas." If you felt all those things, then how could you pretend that we were strangers?

Emily: To give you time to remember on your own.

Nikolas: My life was a lie, and you knew it. And you could've helped me, but you didn't do it.

Emily: I -- I wanted to, but my brother Jason was in a similar accident and he ended up resenting everyone who tried to force him to remember his old life.

Nikolas: So -- so, what? So, what, play games with me?

Emily: No. I tried to help you find your way back to me in your own time. I wanted you to feel safe when you finally remembered who you really were. I know that this must be confusing to you, and I --

Nikolas: No, it's not confusing at all. Mary lied because she was desperate and lonely. You lied because you didn't think I was capable enough to handle my own life.

Emily: No.

Nikolas: You manipulated me!

Emily: No. I -- I wanted -- I wanted to tell you the night we made love. I had -- I had a picture of us together, and I was reaching for it in my bag when you got the call about Mary’s accident.

Nikolas: So, what -- so, what, I'm supposed to chalk up all your lies to bad timing?

Emily: No, I wanted to do what was right for you!

Nikolas: I really wish I could believe you.

Emily: Anything I did, I did to protect you, because I love you.

Nikolas: If that's true, then that's really sad. Because I don't remember. And I don't love you.

Emily: There was a time on the docks I thought I saw you in the distance, but when I got through the fog, you were gone. I didn't know you were alive then. I thought I was dreaming.

Nikolas: No, look, look, I don't doubt that you grieved over me when you thought I was dead, but that doesn't explain -- that doesn't explain why you lied to me, why you deceived me, why you slept with me without telling me the truth.

Emily: Don't you understand? This is exactly what I was afraid of -- you are shutting down on me!

Nikolas: No, I am reacting to months of lies from you!

Emily: You asked me to describe my relationship with Nikolas and that's what I did. I told you how much I loved you.

Nikolas: You told -- but you didn't -- but you didn't tell me the little detail that I was the Nikolas you were talking about!

Emily: The therapist said your memory was intact! I thought it was better for you to remember on your own!

Nikolas: Really? Now, who gave you the right to make that decision for me, to let me go on living my life as a lie?

Emily: Loving you did.

Nikolas: Wow. That's exactly what Mary said.

Emily: Don't compare me to her.

Nikolas: I -- you know what? What you did was worse. Mary lied to a complete stranger. You lied to someone -- someone you claim to love. She --

Emily: I do love you. Don't make it sound like --

Nikolas: She just -- she smothered me in -- in need, and you treated me like a -- like a lab rat!

Lucky: Hey, you need to calm down!

Nikolas: What -- just -- you need to calm down!

Lucky: No, I can't!

Nikolas: Look who -- look who it is! My brother, another -- another person who betrayed me.

Lucky: I get that you're angry, but you just can't come in here --

Nikolas: No -- I've been lied to for months by -- by everyone, including you.

Lucky: Okay, Emily was trying to protect --

Nikolas: No, I've heard all the excuses and -- and the lies! And I don't remember either one of you, and that's just fine with me. I don't owe you -- I don't owe you my love, I don't owe you my -- my forgiveness, and I don't owe -- I don't owe you, either one of you, any more of my time!

Lucky: What -- you know what? You can’t.

Nikolas: You --

Emily: Wait -- Nikolas, stop! Nikolas! Nikolas -- stop -- stop it! Lucky's your brother, and you love him!

Nikolas: You stay away from me. You stay away from me. I can't stand the sight of either one of you! Get away from me! Both of you, get away from me!
