Emily: Courtney, is everything okay?

Courtney: Yeah, yeah. I'm sorry. I -- I’m just having a bad morning.

Emily: Have you seen Jason? I need to find him.

Courtney: No, no. Why?

Emily: To ask him about Zander and the shooting last night.

Courtney: Zander? What does Zander have to do with it?

Emily: Don't you know?

Courtney: No.

Emily: I've watched Zander getting more and more out of control, but I still can't believe that he would try to kill a police officer.

Courtney: Well, what makes them so certain that he did?

Emily: No, well, that's why I was trying to find Jason. I was hoping he'd know something. Has Jason said anything to you about what happened last night?

Courtney: Not really.

Emily: I don't want to believe Zander did something so awful. You know, isn't it possible that this is just another case of the PCPD rushing to judgment? You know, maybe someone else shot that detective.

Courtney: Anything's possible. I mean -- Emily, I have to get back to work, but if I hear from Jason, I'll let him know that you're looking for him.

Emily: Okay.

Ric: Did Zander try to contact you?

Emily: All right. I'll answer your questions after you answer mine. Do you really believe that Zander shot that detective, or are you just trying to get him out of the way so you and Elizabeth can raise the baby?

Ric: I have absolutely no reason whatsoever for wanting to go after Zander. He's already signed over his paternal rights. Those papers are on file.

Emily: That had to affect Zander. He lashes out when he's hurt. You're probably worried he might change his mind.

Ric: Well, you said it yourself -- he lashes out. You don't think it's possible that he might shoot a cop?

Emily: At least admit that Zander being guilty works for you.

Ric: Look, I'm not going to lose any sleep if Zander goes to prison, but I’m not the one who accused him, all right? Faith Rosco is the one who named Zander as the shooter --

Emily: You consider Faith Rosco a reliable --

Ric: And Detective Beck I.D.'d Zander as the man who shot him. You know, I don't understand something, Emily. Why all of a sudden are you defending Zander, huh? I mean, when Nikolas was accused of murder, you had some pretty horrible stuff to say about him.

Emily: He was self-destructing because of our breakup, Ric.

Ric: Well, maybe he still is, but that doesn't give him any right to shoot a cop. If Zander pulled the trigger, he's going to have to deal with the consequences.

Emily: I finished my errands. I'm back at Kelly’s. Yeah, I'll wait for you here. Hurry. I miss you.

Emily: You framed Zander, didn't you? Nice way to repay his loyalty.

Faith: Ooh, look at you, all flushed with righteous indignation. You'd probably be more convincing if you hadn't just dumped Zander to play hide-the-treasure with Nikolas.

Emily: You set Zander up.

Faith: He's a big boy, and now he's going to face the consequences of his actions, and who am I to stand in the way of justice, really?

Emily: Whatever Zander has done, you've done worse, and if there is any real justice, someone will lock you up and throw away the key.

Faith: Well, that is never going to happen, sweet cheeks, so face the facts -- Zander is dangerous and violent and belongs in a cell.

Emily: If Zander is half as dangerous as you say he is, you better watch your back.
