Zander: Nikolas is free on bail. That's one step away from free.
Ric: I can't change the way the legal system works.
Zander: Okay Ric, here's the way I work. Elizabeth is carrying my child and you want custody. Either you put Nikolas away for life or I will stake claim as the baby's father.
Emily: Hi.
Nikolas: Hey.
Emily: Hi. I got your message. Is Mike here yet?
Nikolas: No, no, not yet, but if what Lucky said is true, Mike's going to lead us straight to Cody’s real killer. Let's go inside.
Emily: All right.
Nikolas: Thanks for coming, Mike. Please, please, sit.
Mike: Yeah, well, don't thank me, thank your brother. He's the one who questioned everyone who'd listen about this guy named Ben.
Nikolas: Yeah. We think he was brought to town by Cody McCall.
Mike: That's the man you're accused of murdering?
Nikolas: Right. I hired Cody to recover some valuable cargo from a sunken ship that was discovered in the harbor. Now the ship belongs to the Quartermaines and the Cassadines.
Emily: And Cody was trying to take it for himself.
Mike: He was stealing it from you.
Nikolas: Right. The police think that that was my motivation for eliminating him.
Emily: And we need to prove Nikolas is innocent.
Nikolas: Now, Cody seems to think that this Ben guy is the type of person that would kill for money.
Mike: Well, if he's the guy I know, I don't doubt it. His name is Ben Rogers and he's a tough fellow. He's not local, but he does work out of Port Charles.
Emily: Hey, we need to find him, Mike. If we can prove Ben exists, it's the first step toward exonerating Nikolas.
Mike: Six-foot, solid, 180, 190, shaved head, and he looks like what he is -- he's mean and greedy. He also goes by the names of Russ Owens and Jesse Crowe. Yeah, Jesse Crowe.
Lucky: This is great. You know what, I’m going to get someone checking on these right away.
Nikolas: Hey, I really appreciate this, Mike. Thank you.
Mike: Hey, no problem. Listen, good luck and just watch your backs, okay?
Lucky: Listen, I'm going to go put an A.P.B. on Ben and all his aliases.
Emily: Thank you Lucky. If you hadn't approached Mike, we'd still have nothing to go on. Thank you.
Nikolas: Are you looking for someone?
Zander: Emily actually. You'll be in prison soon, she'll need someone to console her. Remember, I was with Emily first, and I will be glad to remind her of that as soon as you are locked away for good.
Emily: Nikolas, stop! Stop.
Zander: I want him arrested.
Lucky: Wait, wait, wait. Okay, for what?
Zander: I'm walking in to get coffee, he attacks me. It's the second time he's done it tonight. He's obviously lost control.
Nikolas: Oh, yeah?
Zander: See what I mean?
Lucky: Nikolas, back off.
Zander: You're a cop! Arrest him!
Lucky: Okay, Zander, I didn't see anything.
Emily: I did. Zander provoked Nikolas.
Lucky: That means you assaulted Nikolas first.
Zander: That's fine. You want to cover for your brother, I'll go down to the police station and file a report.
Emily: Well, it'll be your word against mine. I saw the whole thing.
Zander: For someone who used to be honest, you sure do stretch the truth pretty easily.
Emily: Oh my God. I -- I can't believe what's happening to him. He is so full of hate.
Zander: Forget him, Emily. He's not worth your time or worry.
Emily: If Zander provokes you again -- and I’m sure he will -- just try to ignore him, Nikolas. Okay, focus on the good news. Lucky will find Ben. He's the real killer here.
Nikolas: We know where Ben is. He's in Azure Key looking for our treasure.
Emily: It's good thing you aren't a detective.
Nikolas: Thank you. Why do you say that?
Emily: Because you jump to conclusions, Nikolas. We don't even know if Ben made it to Azure Key --
Phone rings.
Emily: Or if he's even after Sam McCall.
Nikolas: Mm-hmm.
Ring.
Nikolas: Nikolas Cassadine. Now? All right, all right, all right, all right. Hold -- hold on a second. It's the bankers. I need to talk to them about the bail money.
Emily: All right, that's fine. Take your time. I'll stop by my parents' home and I'll meet you at the house later.
Nikolas: Okay. Bye. I love you.
Emily: I love you, too.
Nikolas: All right, how much is left in the account?
Ric: Hey. Come on, make it fast. I got another meeting.
Lucky: Hey, there's been a break in the Cody McCall murder case. I got a positive I.D. on the fence that Cody was talking about. His name is Ben Rogers. I got a description here in my notes.
Ric: Yeah, yeah, yeah, let me see, let me see.
Lucky: He's got multiple aliases, a reputation for violence. He is the killer.
Ric: That's good work. That's good work but as of right now, I want you to back off the case.
Lucky: No. No way. You know what, this is our first real break.
Ric: Lucky, Lucky, you're far too close to this, all right? Your brother is the prime suspect in this case.
Lucky: You know what?
Ric: I -- your involvement is going to jeopardize the whole fabric of the case.
Lucky: No, I don't see how.
Ric: Because if Ben Rogers is the killer, then I don't want his attorneys coming back and claiming that we're trying to frame him in order to pull guilt away from Nikolas. Do you see? Look, I'll get Mac to put one of his strongest guys on there. You can check back with him.
Lucky: No, you know what, I'm going to get the new guy up to speed myself as soon as I take those notes to the station.
Ric: Look, I'm on my way there. I'll take care of it. I'll drop it off. Your shift is over, Lucky. Good night.
Brian: Courtney and I discussed Jason’s work tonight.
Ric: You got anything concrete for me?
Brian: Not yet, but she's never been this open before. It's definite progress.
Ric: Good. Let me know when you do have something definite. In the meantime, I need for you to do something for me. Lucky Spencer put an A.P.B. out on this guy involved in the Cody McCall murder case.
Brian: Want me to push it through?
Ric: I want you to bury it.
Zander: You ready to finish what you started?
Nikolas: I'm not going to do this again, Zander.
Zander: Oh what, you don't have time for me now, Nikolas? Is that it? I'm an obstacle that you already removed? The idiot who loved Emily so much that I stood by and watched you take her?
Nikolas: When Emily was sick, we both supported her. It was obvious how much you cared about her, but now you're just deliberately trying to hurt her, Zander.
Zander: No. I am trying to get rid of you.
Nikolas: Oh.
Zander: And whatever pain that causes Emily, she'll get over it. I can be a very patient man, Nikolas. You will go to prison for life, a very long time, and she'll need a shoulder to cry on and I will be there so she can lean on me and in that time she will remember what we had.
Nikolas: Wow, if you really believe that, you're more delusional than I thought.
Nikolas: God. Oh, jeez.
Zander: I need an ambulance. Elm street Pier. I've been attacked by Nikolas Cassadine.
Emily: Thanks for coming.
Ric: What can I do for you?
Emily: Nikolas is innocent. He didn't kill Cody McCall.
Ric: Emily, I know about this Ben person and we are looking for him, but that doesn't mean that Nikolas still isn't the primary suspect.
Emily: It could've been someone else.
Ric: Who?
Emily: This isn't easy. I really loved him at one time, but with the way he's been acting, I think Zander may have killed Cody McCall to frame Nikolas.
