Connor Bishop is also played by Tyler Christopher, who plays Nikolas Cassadine.
Mike: Kelly's. She's right here.
Emily: No.
Mike: How badly was he hurt? Yeah, I'll -- I'll let her know.
Emily: It's Nikolas, isn't it?
Ric: His head! Watch his head! Get him down! Easy, easy!
Alexis: It's all right. Nikolas, it's okay. The paramedics are coming. Just relax, okay?
Nikolas: Emily --
Alexis: Don't talk. Don't talk. Just -- oh, God, Nikolas! Nikolas, stay there! Stay with me! Come on! Nikolas? Nikolas!
Paramedic: Over here.
Alexis: Yeah, come on.
Ric: Come on. Come on.
Paramedic: How long has he been unconscious?
Alexis: About a minute.
Ric: He's stopped breathing.
Ric: Your officer had no right to open fire on Nikolas. The room was full of people. He could've hit any one of us.
Mac: Nikolas broke free from the guards and he bolted for the door. In a situation like that, my officers have every right to use force!
Ric: The patrolman shot him in the back, Mac! It was reckless and irresponsible. Instead of going for his gun, he could've shouted for somebody to stop Nikolas!
Mac: Nikolas wasn't trying to escape, Ric!
Ric: Oh, come on!
Mac: He had just been sentenced to life in prison. I think Nikolas was trying to get himself shot.
Emily: Do you know if Nikolas Cassadine has been brought in?
Nurse: According to the medics, he should be here any minute.
Doctor: Put him in trauma one. Let's go.
Emily: You're going to get through this, Nikolas. You're going to be fine.
Nurse: I'm sorry, you can't go in.
Emily: I love you, Nikolas. I'm going to be right here! Why did they shoot him?
Alexis: He ran. I don't know why he did it. He must have realized that he wasn't going to make it.
Alexis: He seemed resigned about going off to prison, and they started to take him away and then he just -- he ran for it, and the cop shot him in the back.
Emily: What? No one tried to stop him first?
Alexis: It just happened so fast, Emily.
Elizabeth: I don't understand. Why would Nikolas try to escape?
Alexis: The sentence was unjustified, but I assured him that we had a good chance for an appeal.
Emily: I think I know what happened. Intellectually, Nikolas understood that the decision was unfair and could probably be overturned. But emotionally, being loaded into the van, going to prison for what could be the rest of his life -- it was too much for him. He couldn't take it. He tried to get away.
Ric: How's Nikolas?
Alexis: There's no word. They're still working on him.
Ric: Emily, I'm so sorry. This should never have happened.
Emily: Nikolas was unarmed. There was no reason to shoot him.
Ric: The officer who shot him has already been reprimanded.
Emily: What, so that makes it all better? And meanwhile, Nikolas is in that operating room with a bullet in his back!
Alexis: Em, Em, Ric saved his life. He stopped breathing, and ric worked on him until the paramedics got here.
Emily: Ric, I'm -- I'm so sorry. I'm --
Ric: It's all right.
Emily: How's my husband?
Doctor: The bullet cut through major arteries and his lungs. He's going to need immediate surgery to repair the damage.
Emily: Are you prepping him for O.R.?
Doctor: No, he's in critical condition. We need to get him stabilized first.
Emily: What if you can't?
A scene with Sonny and Jason is interrupted by Jason's cell phone.
Elizabeth: Jason, it's Elizabeth. Nikolas was shot trying to escape from the police station. They just brought him in the E.R., And Emily's here. She needs you.
Jason: Well, is he okay?
Elizabeth: No, Jason, she's terrified. Nikolas is critical. She really needs her family.
Jason: I'll be right there.
Emily: Nikolas. Nikolas, it's me. It's me. I'm here with you, loving you. So keep fighting, okay? Harder than ever.
Doctor: There's damage to major arteries and the pulmonary system. We're going to do everything we can for your nephew, but the family needs to be prepared.
Ric: All right, the doctor's just trying to be realistic. He didn't say that there wasn't any hope.
Alexis: That's right.
Emily: Nikolas, I've never seen you fail at anything. Once you make up your mind, you're the most determined person I've ever met. You have to decide to get through this. You have to come back to me. You promised that you would be back so we can have a long and happy life together. Nikolas, please. I'm here. Nikolas, stay strong, okay? They're about to take you to surgery.
Nikolas: I have to tell you goodbye.
Emily: Nikolas, I'm not going to let you say goodbye. You're going to be all right, okay? Listen to me. You're going to live.
Nikolas: I'm sorry.
Emily: No. Nikolas, there's nothing to be sorry about. I understand how hopeless you must have felt, okay? But none of that matters now. You're going to live so that we can be together.
Nikolas: I -- I love you.
Emily: I love you, too.
Doctor: I'm sorry, but you're going to have to leave.
Emily: Please, just give us a little bit more time.
Doctor: This isn't helping your husband. You're interfering with his care.
Emily: Doctor?
Doctor: Your husband has lost consciousness again.
Emily: Let me sit with him. I can convince him to keep fighting.
Doctor: His vitals are unstable. He's becoming very shocky. If his pressure continues to drop, he'll be beyond our help. I'm sorry.
Emily: Jason, I want to go to the chapel. Will you go with me?
Jason: Yeah, whatever you need.
Emily: Okay.
Ric: I'm sorry, Elizabeth. I know you and Nikolas are close.
Elizabeth: He's going to make it. Nikolas is strong. This isn't his time.
Ric: I just don't know why he didn't get into the van and go to Pentonville. Why did he -- why did he run? Why did that cop shoot him? It all just blew up in our faces.
Sonny: I'm sorry about your nephew.
Alexis: He's in there bleeding to death from one single gunshot wound. That's why I don't want you to get custody of Kristina.
Sonny: You're emotional. You're worried about your nephew right now. It's not the time to be discussing custody of Kristina, Alexis.
Alexis: One single bullet to someone that I care about. And he's big and strong and healthy. If it were Kristina, she probably wouldn't have even made it to the E.R.
Sonny: I had nothing to do with what happened with Nikolas, so why are you -- why are you blaming me?
More Sonny and Alexis.
Emily: The night I -- the night I almost died of cancer, I -- I felt myself letting go of this world. And then Nikolas was with me, not physically. He was in the next room, but his spirit found me, and he convinced me to live. Maybe if I sit here long enough and reach out to him, I can give him the strength to survive.
Jason: All we can do is keep praying for him.
Emily: I love you, Nikolas. I'm here with you, in your heart, in your soul, in every breath that you take. But you have to fight to survive.
Nurse: Doctor --
Emily: So that we can be together again, so that we can live the life that we planned together.
Doctor: His blood pressure's coming back up. He's starting to stabilize.
Emily: You have so much to live for, Nikolas. There's so much ahead of us -- the life you planned and the children we'll have.
Nurse: He's arresting. He's in v-fib.
Emily: I understand why you ran. Facing a lifetime in prison, you must have felt that -- that our future was gone. It's not going to be that way. The love we share is too strong to be denied, Nikolas, and as long as we're alive, you and I are going to be together. I'll always be with you, and you'll be with me.
Monitor flatlines.
Nurse: Charged.
Doctor: Clear.
Nurse: He's still in v-fib.
Doctor: We're losing him. Give it to me again. Come on.
Nurse: Charged.
Doctor: Clear.
Nurse: No change.
Doctor: One more time. Come on, man.
Nurse: Charged.
Doctor: Clear.
Emily: I love you, Nikolas, always.
