'Connor' is the true character of Nikolas Cassadine however, he has amnesia and believes that he is Connor Bishop.

'Connor': I'm sorry, sir. The church is closed for renovation.

Lorenzo: You?

'Connor': Well -- we know each other?

'Connor': That question must sound pretty ridiculous. I mean, obviously, if we knew each other, I wouldn't have to ask, right?

Lorenzo: It was my mistake.

'Connor': So we've never met?

Lorenzo: I guess I mistook you for someone else.

'Connor': Yeah, no problem. But as I said, the church is closed. Parishioners are encouraged to attend services at the Queen of Angels.

Lorenzo: I'll do that. My name is Lorenzo Alcazar.

'Connor': Oh. I'm Connor Bishop.

Lorenzo: You're not so good with faces, are you?

'Connor': Oh, well -- I couldn't say. I had a head injury recently, lost my memory. I'm not sure if I'll ever get it back.

Lorenzo: That sounds --

'Connor': Yeah, unsettling, I know. Excuse me.

Lorenzo: Actually, I was going to say that it sounds liberating. You're a lucky man, Connor.

Courtney: Okay, okay, Emily, I know that you've been keeping busy, but if you ever need to talk --

Emily: Same to you, Courtney. I -- I think you're the best thing that ever happened to Jason. He was so happy with you.

Courtney: You know, I was with him, too.

Emily: Are you sure it has to be over?

Courtney: I ask myself the same question every morning when I wake up and he's not there.

Emily: Yeah.

Courtney: But then after a while, you know, we both start beating our heads against the wall, and -- I guess sometimes love just really isn't enough.

'Connor': You think I'm fortunate not to remember my life?

Lorenzo: That's subjective, I suppose. Some people have a past they would prefer to forget. That would be me. It must be liberating not to have to live with the mistakes you made; the missed opportunities, the people you loved in life who are lost to you forever. Maybe you've been granted a reprieve.

'Connor': So you're saying the life I had may be worse than the one I'm living now?

Lorenzo: I'm saying you've been given a chance to make new memories. You have no guilt over anything that's happened before. Maybe you finally got over the pain of losing the one great love in your life.

'Connor': Yeah, well, actually, my life before sounded pretty good.

Lorenzo: I thought you didn't remember anything.

'Connor': Oh. My wife, Mary -- Mary -- her name's Mary -- she's been telling me all about it. And sometimes I think that -- you know, sometimes I think she's been keeping part of our past a secret. But, hey, you could be -- you could be right. I mean, I guess everyone has some part of their life they'd like to forget, I guess.

Lorenzo: I envy you. You have a chance to build something new, something clean. You have the unusual opportunity of letting the past stay where it belongs and enjoying your future.

'Connor': Yeah, you know, I didn't think anyone could put a positive spin on what's happened to me, and you helped a lot. Thank you.

Lorenzo: Well, if you ever get tired of painting, give me a call, okay?

'Connor': Okay.

Lorenzo: I own several businesses in the area. I'd be happy to help you find a job.

'Connor': Yeah, I'll keep it in mind. Thank you.

Mary giggles.

Mary: Say hello to the newest account clerk at General Hospital.

'Connor': Oh, I knew they'd hire you.

Mary giggles.

'Connor': So I got you a little something to celebrate.

Mary: A present?

'Connor': No, it's nothing, really. It's just --

Mary: Where is it from?

'Connor': Well, I -- I borrowed the caretaker's truck and went into town.

Mary: Connor, what if somebody recognized you?

'Connor': I -- I just went to the hardware store. I mean, I needed supplies.

Mary: No, but you should have waited.

'Connor': No. I should have got you something, something better, but I knew that you didn't want me to take the risk, so --

Wind chimes sound.

'Connor': Huh? Huh?

Mary: It's beautiful.

'Connor': And when it chimes, you can think about how much I care.

Mary: But I'd rather have you than any present. You just -- you have to be more careful.

'Connor': Yeah --

Mary: The police could have spotted you in town and --

'Connor': Listen -- listen to me. I don't want us to live in fear anymore, okay? Let's go take a walk through Pine Ridge. Come on, let's go.

Mary: But I thought you wanted to take a walk along the water.

'Connor': I assumed that that's what I used to do, but I realized something today, Mary. I want to stop trying to fit into a life that I don't remember.

Mary: Okay. And you want to move on. That's -- that's good.

'Connor': Yeah.

Mary: And we could -- we can start all over again without any expectations.

'Connor': Yeah, yes, exactly. I mean, yeah. We'll be different together, but that can be great, too, you know? I want you -- I want you to be in love with who I am right now, not who I was before.

Mary: Then we could fall in love all over again.

'Connor': Yeah.

Mary: Forever.

'Connor': Okay. I'll go clean up. I'll be right back, okay? Then we can go.

Mary: Okay. Yeah, okay. Who's Lorenzo Alcazar?

'Connor': Oh. He was just someone who was praying here earlier when I got back from town.

Mary: Well, this name -- it sounds familiar.

'Connor': He didn't know me.

Mary: You talked to him?

'Connor': Yeah, we had a conversation. I told him my name, and he didn't say anything.

Mary: Why would you do that? You know what will happen if somebody realizes who you are.

'Connor': Mary -- Mary, it was a simple conversation, okay? Mr. Alcazar's a parishioner looking for answers, just like me, that's all.

Mary: Did you tell him about deserting the military?

'Connor': No, no, of course not. He just -- he offered a completely different perspective on my memory loss, that's all.

Mary: Is that why you're acting like this?

'Connor': Yeah -- he pointed out that as frustrating as it is to not have my memories that it could be a great thing, too. I mean, come on, I have no regrets, no guilt. My life's a clean slate. I can start over again with you.

Mary: You do seem happy.

'Connor': I am. I am. Certainly a lot happier than your friend Emily. She's having a pretty tough time. I was glad you were able to talk with her today.

Mary: You saw us in town?

'Connor': Yeah, in the park. I almost came over and said hi --

Mary: Emily can't know about you.

'Connor': No, I know. I just -- I hate having to put you in a position to lie to her. I mean, how do you think she's going to feel when she realizes I'm not dead, Mary?

Mary: I hope she never does.

'Connor': Mary, she's your friend.

Mary: Sometimes lies are more comforting than the truth.

Sam decides to have an abortion...

Emily: Sam? You --

Sam: Hey.

Emily: Are you all right?

Sam: What are you doing here?

Emily: I volunteer a few times a week. What about you?
