Emily: Hi, Mom. Hi, Dad.
Alan: You look beautiful.
Emily: Oh, you can be just a little bit biased.
Monica: No, not a chance. You are gorgeous, both inside and out.
Emily: Aw.
Monica: Good to see you.
Emily: Good to see you.
The camera cuts over to the refreshment tables where Zander and Nikolas are talking to Lucky.
Zander: So, did you ask Em to this, or did she ask you?
Lucky: You know, she's trying to keep the peace. I'm a neutral party and one of her closest friends, which means I'm asking the both of you to back off. Em needs some room. So why don't you try and give it to her?
The guests at the party continue to mingle and then they see the magician and the Dead Man's Hand. As the lights rise, some characters are furiously rushing around looking for the magician, the card's and Luke. Lucky comes up behind Emily as they watch the people rushing.
Emily: Do you get what just happened?
Lucky: Why do I know my Dad's mixed up in this?
Emily is at the refreshment table when Zander approaches her. Nikolas is watching them from afar.
Zander: Evening, Ma'am. May I have this dance?
Zander doffs his hat at Emily and Emily curtsy's to Zander.
Emily: Sure.
Zander: Where's Lucky?
Emily: He got called into work.
Zander: I thought he'd never leave.
Zander and Emily go off to dance and Nikolas heads to the refreshment table. He pours himself a drink as Lydia approaches.
Lydia: You'll have to admit -- they make a sweet couple.
Nikolas glares at Lydia and takes a swig out of the bottle. She smiles and he walks off.
Nikolas is watching Emily and Zander dance. Nikolas is drinking as Lydia approaches him.
Zander: I might see it in my reflection --
Emily and Zander share a laugh.
Lydia: I sense a reunion.
Nikolas: Don't.
Lydia: Don't you?
Nikolas sighs and drinks some more.
Nikolas: Don't
Lydia: Do what? Point out the obvious. She's in love with him, Nikolas. Let them be.
Nikolas passes his drink to Lydia and walks over to Zander and Emily. He passes Monica and Ned on his way.
Monica: Um -- things could get ugly.
Ned: Raising his sword... I'll make sure there's not a fight.
Nikolas approaches Zander and Emily.
Nikolas: May I?
Zander looks at Emily and gets her asquience. He moves off and Nikolas takes Emily into his arms and they start to dance CLOSELY.
Nikolas and Emily are furiously kissing against a wall.
Emily: I love you. More kissing and they talk with their mouths just miniscule beats away from each other. I always have. I’ve tried to deny it, but I can’t anymore. I love you. I can’t help it.
Nikolas: I love you, too.
Emily: You’re my heart.
Emily rushes off and Nikolas stares after her, stunned.
Nikolas: What? What?
Emily is sitting near her fireplace in the cottage when the door opens and Nikolas walks in. Nikolas walks closer to Emily.
Emily: Did you follow me here?
Nikolas: I didn’t know you’d be here. I thought you might be at home regretting what you said to me.
Emily: I don’t regret it.
Nikolas: Then you came here to wait for me?
Emily: Yes.
Nikolas raises his left hand and shows it to Emily.
Nikolas: My divorce was finalized today. You didn’t see me put this ring on my finger, but I wanted you to see me take it off. Nikolas takes the ring off and walks around to kneel beside Emily. He cups her face in his hands. I’m free to love you with my whole heart.
Emily: I want to love you the same way. With all my heart. Forever.
Nikolas kisses Emily and then pulls back. They smile at each other.
