November 25, 2003 Screencaps

Emily: Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: Hey.

Emily: Are you all right?

Elizabeth: Well, I wouldn't say I’m all right. I --

Emily: Are you sick?

Elizabeth: I took a test last night, and Dr. Meadows just confirmed it. I'm pregnant. That look on your face -- that's pretty much how I feel right now. I just can't believe this is happening to me.

Emily: I didn't realize you and Ric were --

Elizabeth: The timing couldn't be any worse. I mean, Ric just sent me the most beautiful video. It was -- God, it was so sincere, and he talked about how much he loved me and how he was so sorry for everything, and -- God help me, Emily, but I believed him and I finally trust him. Ric loves me and here I am, pregnant with Zander’s baby.

Courtney: That's one thing I missed when I was in Hayes' Landing. Early morning bike rides top the list.

Jason: You know, I never -- I never wanted you to take the kids there. Sheriff Brian following you home is one more reason why.

Courtney: He got a job offer. I mean, yeah, I have to admit, I wish he had landed someplace else, but --

phone rings

Jason: Hello?

Nikolas: Jason, it's Nikolas. I'm at the hospital. We need to meet about Faith and Zander.

Jason: All right, I’ll be right there. Well, I got to work.

Courtney: Yeah. All right, well, then I guess I’ll just go back over to Sonny and Carly’s and help with the kids.

Jason: Why don't you -- you know, why don't you do something for yourself? Something fun and just, you know, give Carly and Sonny a chance to take care of their own kids.

Emily: Don't you have feelings for Zander?

Elizabeth: Well, yeah, sure. I mean, he's a good person and he's been a good friend. Just not like I was ever in love with him, and he's never been in love with me, which is just fine.

Emily: But Zander cares about you, Elizabeth. Maybe that's enough.

Elizabeth: Enough for what?

Emily: Zander's doing exactly what I was afraid of. I mean, he's spiraling out. He's making the worst possible choices. I mean, you know how he gets, Elizabeth. He doesn't care about what happens to him, but if he had a reason to care, then --

Elizabeth: Please, Emily, don't ask me to save Zander when I can barely manage my own life.

Emily: Wait, Elizabeth. Wait, wait, wait. Look -- you would owe Zander the truth under any circumstances, but in this case, finding out that he's going to be a father could literally save his life.

Maxie: Hey.

Zander: Hey.

Maxie: You sure didn't eat much.

Zander: Nothing on that tray remotely qualifies as food.

Maxie: Yeah. It is pretty bad, isn't it?

Zander: Yeah, look, I got to get out of here, okay?

Brian: Detective Brian Beck.

Zander: Yeah, I remember you from last night.

Brian: I have a few more questions to ask you.

Zander: Will that help me in getting out of here?

Maxie: Why don't I go see if I can figure something out for you?

Zander: Please. Thank you very much.

Maxie: Sure.

Zander: So, what? I told you everything I already know.

Brian: I questioned Lorenzo Alcazar. He denies any involvement in the explosion that sunk the Cassadine freighter.

Zander: What, did you expect the guy to say, "I did it, take me in"?

Brian: Well, there's no evidence against Mr. Alcazar, which leads me back to you. Now, how did you know that Emily Quartermaine and Nikolas Cassadine were on the ship?

Zander: Elizabeth Webber -- or, Lansing. She told me.

Brian: So how did you know that they were in danger?

Zander: I didn't. Emily's my wife. I'm still not doing too well with the idea of her and another man.

Brian: Oh, so you were going to confront Nikolas?

Zander: Wouldn't you?

Brian: I assume that the forensic evidence will support your story.

Zander: I believe it will. Want me to save you some legwork?

Brian: If you can.

Zander: Okay. Maybe Alcazar didn't sink the freight; maybe he didn't have anything to do with it. If that's the case, I have a pretty good idea who did. Jason Morgan.

Nikolas: The explosion -- it was a business problem between you and Faith. Now, I am happy to be out of it, but if it turns out to be personal, something Zander thought up to get me, then that's my problem to deal with, not yours.

Jason: No, no, I don't want you involved. Nikolas, you are a legitimate businessman. You've never done anything that Emily can't know about. You will put her in danger by caring about her. Just keep it that way. Keep your hands clean so you can give Emily a better life than I’ve given Courtney.

Emily: Hey.

Nikolas: Something going on? Elizabeth looked a little intense.

Emily: Yeah, she's on her way to visit Zander. They have a lot to discuss.

Nikolas: Now is probably not the best time.

Emily: Why not?

Nikolas: Because Jason’s with him.

Emily: Jason? Nikolas, why didn't you try to stop him?

Nikolas: Emily, Emily, Emily -- you barging in on them right now is a bad idea.

Emily: All right but Nikolas, you know what's going to happen. I have to get in there right now before --

Ric: Excuse me. Sorry, I hope this isn't a bad time.

Nikolas: Not the best. What do you want?

Ric: Well, I have some questions about the explosion on your ship last night.

Zander: I could've died trying to save Emily and this is the thanks I get?

Jason: You're lying. You set that bomb on Faith's orders. It was really, really good work. In one night you've managed to screw up the job Faith wanted you to do and almost kill the woman you claim you love.

Zander: I didn't try to kill Emily. I tried to save her.

Jason: You couldn't handle the job and you're trying to cover your ass.

Ric: So, was the ship insured?

Nikolas: Yes.

Ric: Mm-hmm. I understand that your family is having some financial difficulties, correct?

Nikolas: True.

Ric: Okay, so the insurance money would help out.

Nikolas: Not if I was dead. I was on the ship when it exploded. I had nothing to do with the bomb that was planted. Now, if you have any more questions, you can contact my attorney.

Nikolas leaves and Ric proceeds to talk to Elizabeth.

Jason: So take a message back to Faith. Emily and Nikolas are under my protection and last night is going to cost her.

Zander: Who the hell do you think you are? Faith came this close to killing you. You managed to live another day. Next time you won't be so lucky.

Jason: Did you just threaten me?

Zander: I'm not afraid of you, Jason. I look forward to putting a bullet in your head.

Emily: Jason, no! No, no, no, Zander didn't mean it. He was just angry.

Zander: Don't speak for me. I meant every word.

Emily: Jase, I mean, Zander -- Zander has a terrible temper. You know, when he's scared he strikes out. He -- he says something or he punches someone. I mean, it's -- it's irritating and it's not very smart, but it doesn't make him a real threat.

Nikolas: Who's a threat?

Emily: Zander threatened to kill Jason, but he didn't mean it. Jase, please promise me that you're not going to hurt him, okay?

Jason: Emily, you need to listen and understand. Zander is not your problem to fix anymore. I'd say you and Nikolas are out of it. He's my business now.

Courtney: Jason had nothing to do with the explosion on Nikolas' ship.

Brian: How can you be sure?

Courtney: Because Jason’s little sister is in love with Nikolas and he would never hurt anybody that she cares about.

Brian: Well, at least you didn't try to convince me Jason wouldn't dream of sinking a ship. I appreciate the honesty.

Courtney: Okay, well, then I’ll take it one step further. I will never, ever, discuss any aspect of Jason’s business with you.

Brian: That would be coffee, right?

Courtney: That's right.

Brian: Look, I won't waste any more of our time trying to get you to say anything different. Another topic -- what can you tell me about Lorenzo Alcazar?

Courtney: He's slime. I don't know if he sabotaged Nikolas' ship, but he is certainly capable of it. He helped Ric Lansing hold Carly captive, and then he dragged her off to South America against her will. He's been stalking her for months.

Brian: Did Alcazar hurt you when he kidnapped you?

Courtney: How did you know about that?

Brian: Done some research on you.

Another Courtney and Brian scene where they discuss the kidnapping in August where she was with Alcazar. Jason interrupts.

Jason: I don't talk to cops without an attorney present.

Brian: That's no problem. Your wife already assured me that you had nothing to do with the explosion that sank Nikolas Cassadine’s ship. Now, I’m inclined to believe that Zander Smith implicated you out of spite. Now, is there any reason he'd want to cause trouble for you?

Jason: I don't talk to cops without an attorney present.

Brian: I don't think there's any reason for anything so formal. Oh, yeah, one more thing -- when Lorenzo Alcazar kidnapped your wife in August, why didn't you report it to the police or allow her to press charges?
