Nikolas: I need to hear the tape, Lucky.
Lucky: Can you just take my word for this?
Nikolas: What do you think I'm going to do? Destroy it?
Lucky: That's probably what I'd do if I was in your situation. Stefan has been like a father to you. Why wouldn't you protect him?
Nikolas: I love my uncle. And in most situations, I'd cover for him, but not if he tried to kill Emily.
Zander: You don't want to marry me?
Emily: You asked me on impulse. Zander, it's how you live. I love that so much about you.
Zander: Well, then say yes.
Emily: But my life is almost over.
Zander: No, Em. Emily, you don't know that for sure. You're going to bounce back.
Emily: That's denial, Zander.
Zander: No, it's not, Em. It's hope, it's love, it's determination, and you gave me those things. You got to hold on to that. Emily, you gave me my life. Please, share it with me.
Emily: You kept the ring.
Zander: Didn't you know I would? Marry me.
Zander: I want you to be my wife. And I don't care if it's for five days or for 50 years.
Emily: We were going to wait till we -- till I got past the cancer, Zander.
Zander: No, the cancer has nothing to do with it, Emily. I want to pledge my love to you in front of everybody, make a real committment. I've wanted to do it since the day after the prom. You remember that?
Emily: Yeah.
Zander: Even since you came back, even before the cancer.
Emily: Yeah, but everything's different now.
Zander: No, not the way I love you. I'd be dead or in prison without you, Emily. I'd have no future at all.
Emily: But how -- I don't have a future.
Zander: We made it this far, Em. Even when we thought we were finished, we weren't. That's all I'm asking you to do -- is try one more time. Marry me.

Zander: So then we're going to stick with the plan and get married today.
Nikolas: Emily almost died because my uncle devoted his life to protecting me. I need to end this, not you.
Lucky: So I give you this tape and then what?
Nikolas: I'll take care of it.
Lucky: Nikolas, this confession will exonerate my father and probably send Stefan to jail. This is the best evidence we got, so why should I give it to you?
Nikolas: Because I need it, and I'm your brother. Now you either trust me, or you don'y.
Stefan: Yes, I am pleased with the young woman's performance so far, Mr. Coleman. No, no. Well, the next step will be considerably more demanding.
Nikolas: Something's wrong. We need to discuss it right now.
Stefan: I -- I'm sorry. I'll get back to you. What is it, Nikolas? Did someone approach you?
Nikolas: I'm not the one who's in danger. You are.
Stefan: If someone's threatening me, I'll handle it. I don't want you to get involved.
Nikolas: Lucky says that he can prove you were behind summer's murder.
Stefan: You don't believe him.
Nikolas: Says he has proof.
Stefan: What kind of proof?
Nikolas: Apparently, Darius is still alive and willing to talk.
Stefan: Well, that's highly unlikely.
Nikolas: If -- if you did it -- if -- I'm the only one who can help. But I need the truth. Did you try and kill Emily?
Knock on door.
Emily: Hi.
Elizabeth: Surprise. You didn't think you were going to say your vows without me, did you?
Emily: Oh, Zander told you?
Elizabeth: He's been shouting it from the rooftops. Plus, I've been going around town like a madwoman trying to get everything.
Emily: What's everything?
Elizabeth: Hello? Calling the bride-to-be? Ta-da. I know it's a nightgown, but --
Emily: Oh, it's beautiful, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth: And it's something new. Also, I went to your house and I found your add-a-pearl necklace.
Emily: Oh, I forgot I had that.
Elizabeth: That's because it's something old. And also, I'm going to let you borrow my blue bracelet.
Emily: Something borrowed, something blue.
Elizabeth: Exactly. And I got all the stuff for your hair and makeup in here.
Emily: Oh. You know, I always imagined my wedding would be like this. You'd make me look beautiful and get me through all the corny traditions.
Emily laughs.
Emily: And I'd walk down the aisle and say my vows to the man I love.
Elizabeth: Are you sure you want to do this?
Emily: Zander does. It's the last gift I can give him.
Gia: Hey, Zander.
Zander: Hey. What's going on?
Gia: Is Emily up for any visitors?
Zander: No. Actually, she's -- she's saving her energy. We're getting married.
Gia: Excuse me?
Zander: Today. Now.
Gia: In the hospital?
Zander: I'm -- I'm proving to Emily that we have a future together.
Gia: That's incredibly romantic.
Zander: Well, we both need a little hope, a connection, no matter how much time she has left.
Gia: What are you planning to wear? You are going to change, right?
Zander: Well, I mean, what's wrong with these clothes? You know, button them up and tuck them in, but I mean --
Gia: Zander, when was the last time you looked in a mirror? Actually, don't tell me. I don't want to know. Your bride cannot see you this way. Come on -- nope, go back to your room. A shower, shave, put on your best suit.
Zander: But I --
Gia: Try to do something with your hair. And since I'm such a nice person and fashion maven, I will buy you the perfect tie at Wyndham's, okay?
Zander: Well, Gia -- Gia, you're a terrific friend.
Gia: Well, you'll never know what you missed out on.
Stefan: You have no idea how far a parent will go to protect a child. That's what you've always been to me.
Nikolas: You borrowed the money for me?
Stefan: It was one of the most difficult decisions I've ever made. But all I could think about was keeping your legacy intact. I took the risk because I knew I could persuade you to marry Lydia. We'd obtain the funds and repay the loan.
Nikolas: But Emily got in the way, didn't she?
Stefan: My mistake was waiting for you to realize that Emily was wrong for you. Now, I should have come to you with the facts from the beginning. But you love her, and she makes you happy. I gave into my greatest weakness -- the need to indulge you.
Nikolas: So you didn't tell me the truth?
Stefan: That was a mistake. But I'm telling you the truth now. I would never raise a hand against Emily, much less try to have her killed.
Nikolas: But Lucky says he can prove otherwise. What do you say to that?
Stefan: Lucky will say anything to protect his father, as we both well know. Now, I can fend off the Spencers if I have you at my side.
Nikolas: You've devoted your entire life to protecting me. I've always appreciated that. But I'm finally starting to realize what it cost.
Stefan: I would do it again gladly. In my heart, you're my son.
Nikolas: And I love you as a father. Always will.
Stefan: Was there something else?
Nikolas: No. No, nothing at all. You've made everything very clear.
Gia: You must admit, I know what I'm doing. It's a brilliant tie. It completely makes the suit.
Zander: You saved me again, Gia. Thanks.
Gia: I'm really happy for you, Zander. I really am.
Zander: Thank you.
Elizabeth: Hey, you guys. Look at the bouquet. Isn't it pretty?
Gia: Yeah.
Zander: Hey. Wow.
Elizabeth: Is Emily still sleeping?
Zander: Yeah, she needs her rest.
Elizabeth: Okay.
Lucky: Hey, I got your message.
Elizabeth: Hey, I'm glad you could be here.
Lucky: Are you kidding? How could I miss Emily's wedding?
Zander: Okay, look, the doctors seem to believe that Emily's dying, and I choose to believe that she's not, and I would like for all of you to try and believe it, too. Believe that -- that we got years and years ahead of us. Believe that this wedding is the beginning and not the end.
Emily: I wished for you and here you are.
Jason: Why are you all dressed up?
Emily: I'm getting married.
Jason: Today?
Emily: Yeah, to Zander.
Jason: Well, you told me that you love Nikolas.
Emily: But Zander -- Zander loves me. He wants me to do this.
Jason: What do you want?
Emily: Getting -- getting married will help Zander after I'm gone. And I love him -- just not the way I love Nikolas.
Jason: Emily, you need to do what you think is right.
Emily: In other words, I'm making a terrible mistake?
Jason: I didn't say that.
Emily: But you won't try to talk me out of it because it's my choice, right?
Jason: No comment.
Emily: And if I were going to live, it would be wrong to marry Zander, to pledge my life to one man when I'm in love with another. Wouldn't it be something, Jase, if my soul could visit Nikolas and -- and tell him how I feel, how much I would have loved to spend my life with him?
Jason: Can't you tell him now?
Emily: It's too late.
Emily: And I won't be -- I won't be sorry for what I can't have. You taught me that.
Jason: I'll always be sorry that you can't be here.
Emily: Jase, if you and Courtney -- if you and Courtney have a daughter, will you name her after me? Hey, Jase. Come on. It doesn't have to be a first name.
Jason: It's not that. We aren't -- we aren't having any children. Courtney had a miscarriage. You know, there were problems, and she can't -- she can't have children.
Emily: God, Jase, I'm so sorry.
Jason: Yeah, she's just -- she's going through a lot, and I've tried to help. I just -- I just don't know what to do.
Emily: Would you like some advice?

Emily: Don't let Courtney push you away, no matter what she does, Jase. Don't let her believe she's not good enough. Don't let her pull away to prove how much she loves you, okay? I wasted so much time. So love her, Jase. Love her. Keep her close. No matter what.
Stefan: Lucky Spencer is escalating his campaign against me. He's determined to see me charged with Summer's murder.
Alexis: Are you asking me to defend you?
Stefan: Nikolas was just here to warn me. He says Lucky has some kind of proof.
Capelli: Detective Capelli, PCPD.
Alexis: What are you doing here?
Capelli: I have a warrant for the arrest of Stefan Cassadine for the murder of Summer Halloway.
Alexis: On what grounds?
Capelli: We have Mr. Cassadine on tape admitting responsibility for the murder.
Stefan: Well, that tape is obviously a forgery concocted by Lucky Spencer to exonerate his father.
Capelli: Well, Lucky Spencer didn't give us the tape. Nikolas Cassadine did.
