Nikolas and Emily tie the knot next week on "General Hospital," despite the fact that he is in jail for murdering Helena.

"They've been through so much in the past year they just decide to go ahead with it," explains Natalia Livingston, who plays hard-luck heroine Emily. "Mac pulls through for Nikolas and lets him go to his wedding - and he doesn't even have to show up in an orange prison uniform."

As if it isn't bad enough that the groom is in prison, his crazy Doppelganger, Connor, sneaks into the church. (Both Nikolas and Connor are played by Tyler Christopher.)

"Elizabeth is fixing Emily's hair and helping her get ready when Connor makes an appearance," says Livingston. "He finally comes in when Emily is by herself in her wedding gown. She tries to throw him out, but she is always trying to do that."

Nikolas arrives, "there is a confrontation," and then it's on to the altar.

"Alan gives her away," says the actress. "Lucky, Elizabeth, Jason, Sam, pretty much everyone shows up for the big affair."

The reception is at the Quartermaine mansion. "Everyone is just trying to enjoy it as much as possible under the circumstances," she reports.

Alas, all good soap weddings must come to an end. "The wedding night is bittersweet," says Livingston with a sigh. "She is so happy that she's finally married to the love of her life, but, at the same time, he could be in prison for the rest of his life. It's a difficult situation to say the least.

"Eventually, the cops come and take him away."

Fans will be happy to know that Christopher and Livingston recently started dating in real life, following his divorce from Eva Longoria ("Desperate Housewives"), who began her career as faux Brenda on "GH."

"Everyone has been so great about it," says Livingston. "It's all really positive."
